Jermaine stayed up all night thinking about Alice. What if he just didn't fall asleep? What if he got his strength back? Then maybe she'd take him back.. He began to start eating again and over the next few days, he gained what he had lost.. All except his woman.. And everyday he tried to win her back..

She came into the room with the usual tray of food for breakfast and lunch. But at dinner, he made his move.. She came in like every other time and set the tray down on his nightstand.

Jermaine: Thank you Alice..

Alice just nodded and turned to leave but was stopped by the hand of Jermaine.

Jermaine: Alice.. What is there that I could do to win your heart again?

Alice: There is nothing in the whole Kingdom of Neverland that would change my heart about loving you.

And with that, she left.

Jermaine saw her just before she had left and called her name. She stopped and looked down.

Jermaine: Alice..

Alice: Yes sire?

Jermaine: Please?

Alice: No..

And with that, she left him alone again.

-~-~-~June 9th~-~-~-

It was his mid-day lunch and Alice came in with his lunch. He just laid there and didn't bother to even talk to her for a while.. Alice was surprised and just waited.

Jermaine: What are you waiting for?

Alice: You to say the lovey dovey nonsense to try and change my mind which never works..

Jermaine sat up and just looked at her.

Jermaine: So my words mean nothing to you?

Alice: None.

Jermaine: You surprise me.. You have no idea how I feel.. I already know what you want to do so you should just do it.

Alice: Which is?

Jermaine: Leave..

Alice: Why must I leave?

Jermaine: Is that not what you want?

She was quiet for a while and then left.

Jermaine was in the room where he bathed and took a long bath to cleanse him of his filthiness. When he had returned to his room, there was a tray of food waiting for him. He sighed and just decided to have her come back so that he could have his sheets changed. He rang his bell and she came back.

Alice: Yes, Prince LaJune?

Jermaine: Alice, would you be so kind as to fetch me sheets for my bed?

Alice: Of course..

She left and returned with the sheet.

Alice: That be all?

Jermaine: No.. Alice, please help me..

Alice eyed him for a moment before she began to help him strip the bed and put new sheets on the bed. When they finished putting on the sheets, Alice looked at him with her arms crossed.

Alice: I expect you are wanting to woo me at this point?

Jermaine: No.. I want you to forgive me..

Alice: What is there to forgive? I am your sister and that is that..

Jermaine: You were never my sister before. You still are not my sister! You have not acted as if you were bothered by this before when we constantly made love! Or when we used to talk about us late at night! Our future! Our baby! Why can you not forgive me? Or just look past this? Why can our love not survive? All because of one stupid statement! Well you know something? I love you and there is nothing you can do about it! Think about that Alice. And when you have an answer for me that you will be my wife, come back to me.

She saw a tear fall down his face before he had sat down on the side of the bed where his back could be turned towards her.. She was hurt and said nothing before she left..

Alice came into the room in one of her moods.. She was pregnant too and wanted major attention his morning.. Only one person could give it to her.. She came in with the tray of food and set it down on the nightstand before she had noticed the smell in the room.. It was a very pleasant smell today.. That's odd.. But another thing that caught her eye was that the room was clean.. The windows were open and the smell of roses filed the air.. And lastly.. No one was in the room with her.. At least it seemed that way.. She tried to find something to clean in there later on but alas.. She found not a thing to clean.. The room was spic and span..

Alice: How odd.. Tis such lovely oddness..

She shrugged and almost jumped out of her skin when she turned around. He was standing before her wearing his blue and black attire in the corner holding a single red rose.. He was just looking at the rose as if Alice was not even in the room. She was beyond startled at this point and reacted badly.

Alice: Jermaine!

He slowly looked up at her as if he had not a care in the world as to how he felt at the moment.. Or even what was going on, for that matter..

Alice: How long have you been standing there?

Jermaine just shrugged and looked back down at the rose. Alice was so confused.

Alice: Jermaine.. I have thought about what you have said and..

He looked up at her.

Alice: I have decided that.. It might be best if.. Well.. No.. Yes.. If we.. Did not gain a future together..

Jermaine nodded and looked back down at the rose. He stood still for a while before approaching her and giving her the rose.. Then he kissed her forehead which caused her to shiver and he went to his window to just look at nothing.. After a moment, the unexpected happened..

Jermaine: I need a queen.. Even if she happens not to be you.. I need to keep my family's name going. I am willing to lower the bar for your sake and just move on as you have requested.. Just know that I will never get over you and you will always have my heart.. Along with my first child..

Alice: Jermaine.. I..

She had no words. She couldn't speak. She couldn't even think.. She knew what she wanted say but she just couldn't seem to get the words out. If she walked away now, she'd walk away from everything.. So, Alice gathered up the little bit of courage that she had and went over to approach him. When she had gotten close enough, it took everything in Jermaine not to turn around and just have his way. Alice started again..

Alice: Jermaine.. I.. Want you to be happy and I want you to just be there for us all day everyday for the rest of our lives because we need you and we cannot lose you so..

She said very fast before taking a deep breath.. Jermaine turned around and faced her.

Alice: I am saying that.. Whatever you have been doing these past few days.. It made me think and.. It worked..

She mumbled the last part.. Jermaine made her look up at him and looked into her eyes before going in to kiss her. He kissed her passionately and he tried not to lose control of himself.. And Alice wasn't making it any easier.. She was letting it happen and kissing him back. He began to breathe harder and had to break the kiss before his hands found a way to wonder around her body. The thing was.. He didn't want to.. He didn't want to stop but he knew he had to..
Otherwise he would risk the chance of keeping her. He pulled away from her and tried to keep his same facial expression as before. Alice was breathing hard and once she looked into Jermaine's eyes, she had two choices.. Leave or go for it again.. Alice knew she wanted more.. Her body ached for it.. She just wasn't sure if Jermaine did.. She waited for a while and each moment she waited, the urge got stronger.. She didn't want to touch Jermaine but she also didn't want to leave. So she just stood there trying hard to remain composed. But she couldn't keep her mind off of the fact that she just wanted him to touch her.. It felt like she was standing there and just screaming it but yet at the same time seemed like she wanted nothing more than to just stand there.

Jermaine: What are you thinking?

Alice: I have many thoughts..

Jermaine: Tell me of your thoughts.. Or just one..

Alice: I.. Um..

Jermaine: Your thoughts from today Alice..

Alice: I had only one thought..

Jermaine: Alright..

Alice: I.. No.. Forget it..

Jermaine: Alice.. I hear silence.. Do you know what that means?

Alice: What?

Jermaine: Silence means that thoughts are many, but words are few..

Alice: What are your thoughts?

Jermaine looked down at her and then forward..

Jermaine: I want to touch you.. I want to touch you until we cannot breathe or say words but know each other's every thought.. I want to hear your voice for hours at a time and see your face in the morning.. Then, when the baby comes.. I want us to be married and have a happy family.. Then possibly have more babies until you say there is no more.. No more having babies.

Alice: Touch me..

She couldn't believe her ears.. Jermaine couldn't even believe his ears but wasted no time in kissing her and laying her down on his clean bed. Their love was fed by a desire to be reunited.
