Prolog.
Kirishima woke up late, and felt completely and totally awful. He'd somehow slept through the 4 alarms he had set to wake up and give Bakugou the send off he deserved. He wanted to give Bakugou all the support he could possibly need, even if the blonde wouldn't admit it to anyone. Throwing himself out of his bed, and not bothering with a shirt Kirishima ran down the hall hoping to catch Bakugou before he left. Down the stairs and into the common room Kirishima dodged past a very confused Ida trying to make it to the doors where he could just see Bakugou throwing a bag into a car and climbing in.
"Wait-!" Kirishima yelled as He slammed through the dorm room doors, "Bakubro!" But the silver car was already gone, pulling out of the drive way. Kirishima was forced to settle for waving at the car hoping Bakugou noticed the single person send off.
"Hey dude? You OK?" Denki asked sticking his head out the door.
"Yeah, I guess so, I Didn't get to say Bye to Bakugou though." Kirishima sighed , His whole body feeling heavy.
"Where did he go?"
"To get the surgery, I guess its for the better..."
"Kirishima! Please obtain proper dress ware for the common area!" Ida's Stood in the doorway.
"Yeah, Sorry about that." Kirishima muttered, throwing one last glance at the direction his best friend, and crush, had disappeared too.

Kirishima was sitting on the couch. Considering if it the effort it would take him to get to his room was worth a nap. He probably needed one considering he felt like death. When Bakugou came back to the dorms. He looked just as grumpy as normal, and had his backpack slung over a shoulder, he was fiddling with it, trying to find something.
"Bakubro! Your Back!"
"Bakugou?" The rest of the Bakusquad Repeated from the kitchen and a two resounding 'Kacchans'.
"Who the fuck-" Bakugou growled Looking up to see Kirishima, "Oh, Its you."
"Are you feeling better?" Kirishima said.
"Why the fuck would you care? Fucking weirdo." And with that He was gone.
Mina Stood in shock at the kitchen door, "Uhhh....? Blasty?" She called after him.
"It was like he didn't remember you." Sero observed.
Kirishima's chest felt infinitely tighter as he stared at his friends, Bakugou couldn't just not remember him! That's not how the surgery is suppose to work, you're only supposed to forget the person you love.
Forget the person you love.
"The person he loved..." Izuku said having watched the scene play out, " It was you." He didn't even try to sound surprised.
Kirishima just nodded sharply. Bakugou Loves him.
Bakugou used to love him.
" I- I'm going to go see Aunt Em..." Kirishima said, stumbling towards the doors.
" Is he going to be OK?" Denki asked quietly.
" I sure hope so," Sero said, Thinking very hard about a conversation he'd had with the red haired boy only last week.

It's really unmanly to run away from your problems, but sometimes, just sometimes It's better than the alternative. Kirishima sat In the little cafe his aunt owned with a cup of hot chocolate questioning every decision he had made leading up to this point. Gloomy watching the streets Kirishima came to the realization just how bad the situation he was in was. Literal months of work getting close to gaining the respect of and falling in love with Bakugou wasted because Kirishima had been wrong.
"I won't stand for such moping," Aunt Em said, Setting down a tray of cookies, " eat a cookie and pass your sorrows."
Kirishima reached for a clover shaped cookie taking a bite he muttered, " You were right."
"Was I? About what dear?"
"He did Like me."
" Well that's wonderful. What's the catch?"
"He already got the surgery and Now he doesn't remember me?" Kirishima rested his head on his hand as he tried to avoid his Aunts prying gaze. She merely tutted as if someone forgetting you interily wasn't a base for giving up all hope of them ever loving you.
" Oh Honey," She gave him a sad smile, " my sweet sweet boy, If he fell in love with you once I'm sure he will again."
"I don't even know if he can after the surgery."
At that Aunt Em stood, And curled her arms around Kirishima, Hugging him tight to her. "Oh My sunshine, you'll find a way, I know You will." She whispered, rubbing circles into his back.

When Kirishima got back to the dorms he didn't feel even an once better, holding a thermostat of hot tea to his chest as he wandered the common room floor aimlessly.
" Dude, Are you sure your ok?" Denki spoke up on Kirishimas 3rd lap from the kitchen weaving through the couches and down the hall passed the bathrooms to the staircase and back.
Kirishima clutched the thermos closer, "No?"
Mina sat deadbolt. "We are going to solve this! He has no right to treat you like that! After all you've done for him!"
"It's not his fault Mina, he can't remember- well I guess I don't know exactly what he can't remember but I'm sure if he did-"
"Bullshit. I call bullshit, he very clearly knew who you were, he just didn't care!" Mina stood up, " I have half a mind to go up there and-"
Sero cut her off, " Mina we can't just force Bakugou to remember, we might do more harm than good."
Kirishima smiles weakly at them, " Yeah, and besides... maybe he'll remember soon? It could be an effect of anesthesia." He tried to sound enthusiastic but his voice fell flat from the weight of not believing it. "I think, I think I could use a nap."
"Ok, but you just call if you need us," Mina leaned over the couch to give him a hug, "I mean it."
"Yeah, I will. Thanks guys."

Bakugou sat on his bed thinking. He had the vaguest Idea that something wasn't right. It might have been just the bandages and the chemical smell of hospital that he just couldn't get out of his skin no matter how hard he scrubbed, but it wasn't a constant state of unease.
Bakugou knew it had been three days since he got the surgery, he also knew the only reason they let him out of the hospital was because "they did not have the facilities to maintain a safe environment for all patients." So what if He'd gone a little stir crazy.
So it wasn't the hospital, and now daily visits to Recovery Girl, what was it? It had been strongest when he'd first gotten back, walking into the common room. He knew it well, he could remember every detail of it, every movie night and fist fight. He remembered chasing Denki around the furniture, and an argument he'd had with candy cane. The kitchen he could also remember, Mina burning her hand trying to make spaghetti and win a bet, and a cook off with The cake man. Hell! Bakugou could even remember trying to talk Sero through a easy as fuck math problem well he'd tried a new recipe.
But it all felt flat. Like the memories were missing something, he'd know as soon as he'd seen the redhead that it was him. Bakugou could remember this guy, shitty hair, he'd been something like a leader in a friend group. Bakugou could remember training together, he could remember sitting on his bed trying to help him with his upcoming test.
Bakugou could remember this kid perfectly fine but he could feel anything. It was like the memories themselves held no meaning. They were just there rolling around in his skull taking up space.
It almost disturb Bakugou how many memories he had of this person, Kirishima might be his name. He knew so much about this guy but he didn't know why, it was like someone had dropped a bunch of memories of someone into his mind, someone he never meant but knew so much about. Someone you didn't have any interest in knowing but somehow knew more about than any other person.
"Fucking weird." Bakugou muttered, deciding not to let it unnerve him and instead to go to bed. He refused to let some random memories bother him. Never mind letting them keep him from sleeping.

As Kirishima laid still in bed, he thought. It was almost painful how much he thought. The words tearing into his mind, taloned raptures feasting oh his confidence and perching on his heart. He's forgotten you.... And he'll never remember, he'll never want to be your friend again. All things he wished he could just let go off but the worst sat deep in the pit of his stomach.
He'll NEVER love someone like you, he'll never remember you.
Kirishima felt his whole body tense, as he struggled to breath, his body shivered and he felt cold as he pulled the blanket closer around him. His head pounded with the rhythm of his heart as the words fell into place, clicking like puzzle pieces.
He'll never love you, he'll never remember you.
" He won't..." Kirishima felt his chest squeeze and he coughed violently. "He won't remember me... He'd never love me..."
Two tiny blue petals sat perched on his arm. Small specks of blood covered them.
"He's forgotten."

A/N: If you noticed this is the same chapter as the "Canonical" ending of Bloody Bouquet: King of Flowers , This is just the prolog so everyone remembers what happened. For people reading this one first I recommend you read " Bloody Bouquet: King of Flowers" ( also By Me) first to prevent confusion, Although it is not strictly necessary to do so.
Thank you for reading " Bloody Bouquet: Forget Me Not"!
Rose.
