20 ☤ the devil's tea

Serving customers in a twenty four seven café could go one of two ways, boring or irritating. That was until a third option was added: weirdly okay. Blair had a nice person working with her, their customers weren't dicks (for once) and their boss hadn't moaned at them - a very rare occasion, despite how kind he was, there was always a problem.
"Jay asked me to ask you if you'll meet up with him tonight, he would of asked you but he has to go check on momma Johnson and then has a full day of work." Blair spoke up, cleaning the desk of coffee from the people who sat at the bar part. Blair felt as though she was back in middle school.
Reyna's eyes lit up, a small smile on her face. "Tell him I say yes, and could you give him my number, it makes your life easier." Reyna said, grabbing a notepad and pen to go and take an order.
"So you can sext him?"
"I don't know what you are on about." Reyna laughed innocently, leaving Blair at the bar. Her eyes widened realising her joke was going to become a reality. She slipped her phone out of her pocket and found her best friends number, reluctantly texting him that Reyna said yes before sharing Reyna's contact with him. She was definitely glad she didn't have to play messenger between the two. The two were both their own versions of heart breakers, Reyna was more proud of it whilst Jay often hid it from everyone.
The ballerina tightened her pony tail before sanitising her hands. She rubbed in the alcohol based liquid before grabbing a notepad and pen as Reyna made her way back. She walked over to an unserved man, someone she had never seen before. "Hi, I'm Blair, I'll be your waitress, what can I get you today?"
The small café recently renamed 'The Devil's Tea' didn't like having people lining up at the till, meaning it opted to treat itself like a restaurant. Soemthing Blair and many of the workers hated.
"A black coffee, please."
Blair notes that his voice wasn't like most people she knew, something about it screamed pain. She couldn't tell why but she nodded and went off to make him his drink.
Blair had gotten very use to the smell of coffee and the millions of milk types they had. She was use to this place, and as much as she disliked working there, she knew she'd miss the place. She would definitely miss working with Reyna and her other coworkers. Most of her coworkers however were four to six years younger then Reyna and Blair.
Once she was done making the black coffee she put in a mug and took it over to the man.
"Thanks, sunshine."
Blair nodded in response, a small smile on her face, before going back to cleaning up their work station.

It was a lot later, when Blair and Foggy has decided to meet up and get drinks. Foggy was telling Blair what had happened to Matt when he found him, and Blair was laughing at the small snarky comments thrown into the mix.
"I did tell you he wouldn't be dead." Blair laughed, adjusting the lace sleeves of her top. "He's dumb but he's not stupid,"
"He is going to be, one day it's just going to be too much."
"Oh believe me, I know." Blair drank a mouthful of whiskey. "I've told him, but he just reminds me he can look after himself. He's like a toddler."
Foggy and Blair shared a drunken look that clearly said neither of them believed him, after all they had both seen him practically dying at least once.

The drunk duo were walking down the streets, laughing together. Blair hand gripped Foggy's jacket sleeve, just incase she would fall or incase something was to happen.
"I love you, Foggy." Blair hiccuped, moving her arm to be around his shoulders.
"You do?" Foggy asked, tears gathering in his eyes. "I love you too Blair." It was slurred but both of the drunk adults were very touched by their 'confessions'.
Neither of them were aware of the devil listening in to make sure they were ok. Both Blair and Foggy had informed Matt that they were going to get 'waisted man' and that he couldn't stop them. Matt knew he couldn't stop them, both of them were adults, and somewhat responsible. Worried for how much of a mess they could be Matt had decided to stay close enough just in case.
Foggy's arm went around Blair's waist as she nearly tripped. The once silent street was filled with their slurred words and laughter.
"Matt's so lucky to have you." Blair placed a kiss to Foggy's cheek. Foggy placed a hand onto his chest, getting mildly emotional. "Blair, what did I do to get you in my life?"
"I should call him!"
"Who?"
Blair giggled, her head rolling to the side to look at Foggy. "Matt. I should call him."
"He's so lucky to have you. But no! We must keep going! He'll try get you home."
"He can get me into bed!"
Foggy forged a gasp, slapping his hand to his chest. "Absolutely not! He's a Christian. And you will continue to drink."
Blair slipped out of Foggy's arms, falling to the damp floor. She sat there laughing her head off as Foggy sat opposite her. "You're supposed to be reasonable." She hiccuped out. Her eyes widened as sick entered her mouth, Blair swallowed it back, used the wall to stand up. "We need to drink else I'll be sick."
"That's more like it." Foggy held his hand out, Blair yanked him up, nearly falling in the process. "Lead the way captain."
The two wobbled down the alley way, a masked vigilante on their tale. He jumped down before they could leave - leading to Foggy screaming and Blair pulling out a knife.
"Really?" He grumped to the two of them.
"Fuck off! I'm getting fucked."
Matt shook his head, grimacing as Blair heaved. "You're bith staying at mine. I want you in bed-" he pointed at the ballerina, "and you on the sofa." He pointed at the lawyer. "Don't even think about touching my drinks."
"Blah, blah, blah!" Blair imitated, folding her arms. "You're such a buzz kill."
"You have an exam tomorrow, bed."
"You're not my dad."
"You don't even listen to your dad."
Blair rolled her eyes, trying to cross her arms even tighter.
"Please, Blair, this alley has its own reputation, I don't think you want more ties to it."
"Fine." She scoffed. She grabbed Foggy's hand, leaned close to him. "I have vodka there." She whispered as Matthew began disappeared.
"No you don't!" He shouted back. The two looked around unable to find it.
They shrugged, holding hands and attempted to skip back, singing about going to see a wizard.
Blair's couldn't help but feel pressure on her head, her chest and even her neck as they reached the exit. Bad things often happened here, terrible things people liked to forget.
People like her. People who were fortunate to just about escape. She had escaped some terrible situations, but maybe her worst, most scariest near loss was here. Why was she even thinking about it?! How did Matt know? Unless, unless it was him.
She hadn't forgotten everything, just enough to survive. And everything came hurling back to her head. Her head spun.
Foggy tapped her, calling her name. But she was frozen still. Eyes flickering. "Blair?!?"
