Chapter 31
Jay stumbled backwards, sloshing through the mud. He couldn't believe it. Bliv was back inside his head again!
"What do you want?!" Jay screamed aloud, panicked.
'Easy there, Eddy' Bliv chimed, 'I'm only here to make amends with you.'
"Like I'd ever make a deal with you, bastard!"
'Calm down, lightning ninja. I'm sure once you hear my end of the deal, you'll consider it.'
Jay raised an eyebrow. "I'm listening..."
Bliv chuckled and suddenly everything went dark.

Jay lifted his head up, and looked around at his surroundings; the whole area was pitch black.
The ninja suddenly felt more alive, like his heart was...
His heart was beating!
Jay jumped up and ran around, filled with life and warmth.
"Enjoying it, aren't you?" Bliv's voice echoed. Strangely enough, it wasn't inside Jay's head anymore- it was inside the room.
A pale figure appeared next to him, smiling. It was a man, probably in his early twenties, with jet black hair and blood red eyes. He wore a black overcoat, bandages around his hands and legs, and gray pants, the rest of his body faded away...
Like a ghost.
"I'm so pleased we finally get to meet in person, Edward James." The man grinned, baring his fangs. "I don't recognize you without my hair and eye color. I must say, you looked a lot better when I possessed you, though."
"B-Bliv?" Jay stammered.
Bliv laughed. "Yes, it's me, Oblivion, the terrifying Ignacian cannibal!"
Jay looked around. "I don't understand. Where are we? And why are you out of my body? Am I dead?"
Bliv soared around the darkness, his gray aura making him shine. "We are in the spirit world of darkness, home to banished spirits. Ignacian cannibals like me used to have a blast here... Until those damn Guardians like Nya's mother slayed us all... Except for me."
The vampire looked around sadly and continued, "I brought you here so we could part ways- and don't worry, you're alive. You see, Edward Ja-"
"Jay."
"Jay. You remind me of myself when I was only half a thousand years old or so. Inventive, determined..." Bliv touched Jay's chest, where his heart would be. "Compassionate. You care so much, you're dedicated; you're special, one of a kind. I didn't want that kind of power to be wasted away, so I kept you alive and human. You're welcome."
"Thank you, Bliv... I just don't know what to say, I-" Jay sighed. "I just wish Nya would forgive me."
"Oh, lover-boy, I'm sure she will." Bliv reassured the ninja.
"The others too..." Jay mumbled, turning away, ashamed of himself.
"Who, the ninja?" Bliv asked.
"Yeah, and Sensei Wu too."
"I wouldn't worry about them." Bliv grinned.
"What do you me-"
The darkness suddenly shattered and rays of sunshine penetrated whatever was left of it. Ninjago suddenly fell back into place, the cave, the ocean waters...
The 'Bounty, flying high in the sky above them!
Bliv covered himself up, blocking out the sun. "Your friends, Jay, the ninja, are about to become breakfast!" He shouted, growing the familiar bat wings and soaring up towards the 'Bounty.
Jay gasped, shocked and tried to grab Bliv's coat.
Bad idea.
Jay's hand passed right through the vampire's body, causing him to slip and fall off of the cliff. The ninja tried to grow his wings, but suddenly remembered he was human again.
Shit, shit, SHIT!!
Jay shut his eyes, praying for the remainder of his last few seconds, when he suddenly stopped, feeling something metallic holding him close.
