Nya dashed up to Jay first, holding him in a tight embrace. Part of Jay was happy to see her, longing to  hug her.

His corrupted side, however, always won the majority in his conscience.

Jay shoved Nya off of him, sending her skidding quite a few feet across the cave floor. The jagged rocks cut up her favorite dress and scraped her bare arms and face. The ninja watched in horror as Jay barely flinched.

Kai dashed over to his sister, who was clenching to her stomach, writhing in pain. The ninja of fire turned a burning red, tears brimming his cheeks.

"Jay!" He screamed with all his might, his voice cracking with anger and adolescence. "How- How could you?!" His voice broke into sobs, collapsing over his injured sister.

Jay turned to the other two ninja, flicking his scarred eyebrow, taunting them.

Cole only watched in shock, a beefy hand covering his mouth. Jay sensed the fear on him, his trembling echoing in his ears. The lightning ninja grinned smugly, baring his fangs.

"What's the matter, Cole?" Jay taunted, his voice shaking with excitement. "Don't you want to be a good leader? Go on over there and put a supporting hand on his back. That'll do the trick, won't it? Like it always does, right? Just go on over there and say 'GO TEAM!' and you'll fix everyone right up!" Jay giggled, the power lacing through his every word. He felt bad, but it felt so... Good.

Cole stood there, astonished, ashamed. Tears began to slip down his cheeks.

"Oh, come on Cole." Jay continued. "Don't tell me you're too scared to come over here and say the lesson of the day, much less fight me. But then again, that's typical Cole; a coward. That's all you are, and that's all you'll ever be. A cowa-"

CRACK.

A heavy metal object, that Jay later identified as Zane's foot, smashed into the vampire's face, cutting him off mid-sentence. 

Jay stumbled back, rubbing his face. "What the fuck?" 

Zane's face was angry, the angriest Jay had ever seen the stoic, polite nindroid. He rushed towards Jay, and picked him off of the ground, making him level to the ice ninja's face.

"Where are you Jay?!" Zane screamed desperately. "Give me back Jay!" 

Zane slammed his fist into Jay's face repeatedly, his face scrunching up in anger. The other ninja watched in shock, unsure of whether to step in and stop the rogue nindroid, or let him continue.

The ice ninja thrusted Jay into the cave wall, sending a couple dozen bats fluttering into Zane's face, distracting him. The bats failed, however, and Zane walked right through the cloud of the creatures. His ultimate goal was destroying whatever was keeping Jay.

Jay watched in agony as the nindroid advanced towards him, his ice blue eyes suddenly glowing a deep blood red.
