Jay awoke to the sound of thunder rolling outside his new home. The rumbling startled him, making him slip off of his perch and land on his head. Ouch. It seemed that no matter how cool he could look, he still was a total dork.

Jay had forgotten that he was not only a ninja, but an elemental one at that, too. It seemed that he was so obsessed with his new powers that he forgot who he was . Morphing back into his human form, the blue ninja felt the electricity crackle through his empty veins, his heart no longer pumping loudly in his ears.

He really missed hearing his heartbeat. It reminded him of his true potential.

Smiling, Jay recalled the events of the day when... When everything happened , really.

When his life finally began.

"Augh! Don't look at me! I'm a monssster!"

Jay hid his face from Nya, not wanting her to see him like this. Even if they were about to plummet to their death, he was still scared of what she would think.

The events rolled by. Nya confessing she was the samurai, the track running shorter and shorter. It all went by so fast.

Then Nya told him those words he would never forget;

"Jay, if anything horrible were to happen, I want you to know that you don't have to wear cologne or pretend to be anything that you're not. Because, I like you best when you're you."

Then she kissed him, curing him of his Fangpyre bite.

She kissed him!

He was surprised he didn't start squealing at that moment. He probably would have if it wasn't for the deadly drop about to kill them both.

He could still feel the electricity running through his veins, the adrenaline carrying him, his heart beating faster, faster...

BOOM!

Jay suddenly jerked up, the tremendous roll of thunder making his sensitive ears tremble. Rubbing his head, Jay squinted his eyes, trying to make out what was happening outside.

"Oh, shit." A familiar voice called out. "Zaptrap, is that you?"

How wonderful. That tremendous roll of thunder turned out to be the tremendous Cole jumping onto the cave floor.

And he wasn't alone.
