Jay hissed and would have plunged his fangs into Kai's shoulder, if only Cole hadn't given him a forceful shove, sending the blue ninja a few feet away from Kai.

Just enough time for Kai to scramble up, draw the sword of fire from the holster on his back, and aim it at the corrupted ninja, the weapon engulfing in elemental flames.

"I'm sorry man. You've just gone too damn far." He spat, turning Jay's confidence into complete fear.

Kai ran up the wall, activated his fiery spinjitzu, and sank the sword into Jay's back.

Jay shrieked as the flames burned his back when Kai released the sword. Stumbling out the door and onto the deck, he tried growing his wings to fly to safety. He felt them tear through his uniform, and launched himself off the deck, but unfortunately wasn't able to fly on them just yet;

His wings became scorched, becoming nothing more than burnt bones and spines.

Everything went into slow-motion as he fell off the flying ship. Nya running to the deck, screaming his name, agony laced throughout her voice. Cole holding her back, and perhaps getting a little too touchy with her.

Kai narrowing his eyes, standing proud. He had won.

The flames, his torn uniform pieces, and charred bits of his wings fluttered around him as he fell, sending him off dramatically.

Time resumed.

Jay hit water and sank like a stone to the ocean floor, the fall knocking him unconscious. His wounds burned from the salt water, and anything left of him sizzled.

He was dissolving, leaving this horrid world of his once and for all. He smiled, happily accepting he would finally die and be rid of all guilt and suffering. He giddily awaited the rest of his body to decay away.

But then the sizzling stopped.
