Part Seven: No, she didn't.

Nathaniel's POV

"I know who the murderer is," Olive whispered, staring at the broken black vase on the floor next to us. I really hoped that the murderer Olive just figured out was someone we didn't know. I don't know what I would do if Sophia, Max or Sabrina were killers. Max would never kill his beloved girlfriend, Sophia would never kill her loving sister, and Sabrina loves Max too much to lay a finger on the girl he cares about most in the whole world. She realized how great their bond was. Cody didn't even know who Amy was until a few days ago!

"Who?" I said, looking at her with surprise.

"You just told me that Sophia has been asleep this whole time, never waking up. However, she told me earlier that  there were speakers in every room in the house that loudly transported sounds to her bedroom. I broke a vase," Olive thought aloud, pointing to the vase on the ground. "So we know that the speaker is a lie. But if it was truly a lie, then why could Sophia hear my screams when I found Amy's body from all the way across the house? Perhaps because she wasn't across the house! At the moment I cried for help, she was sneaking away from the crime scene back to her bedroom across the mansion, but when she heard my screams, she realized that in order to play along she had to pretend that she had no idea Amy was murdered before I told her! She was the murderer!" Olive said the last sentence loudly as she stood up from her seat.

I stood up as well, trying to reason with her. "Sophia couldn't have been the murderer, Olive! She had no motive, nothing to gain from her treacherous task. She already had the company, everything she wanted she could buy in an instant! And she loved her sister, she had since they were toddlers. She never once dared to show any single subtle sign that she had some kind of grudge or disagreement!"

"Yes, because she was hiding it!" Olive insisted. "She knew that if she showed any kind of irritation or rage towards her sister, she would be suspected as a possible murderess. She's been planning this for longer than we think, Nathaniel, waiting to take out the sister who she pretended to love for so long!"

"You have no proof of that, Olive," I said simply, sighing at her imagination.

"Yes, I do! If she's innocent, why did she lie to us? And why did she take a nap just after her beloved sister was brutally murdered if she truly cared about Amy?! She...she...didn't care!" Amy tried to convince me helplessly, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks, leaving makeup-less lines in her face on the way down.

I stepped forward and embraced her into a hug, knowing that was the best I could do.

After a few seconds, she pushed me away and looked at me with crying angry eyes. "No, you don't understand! She killed her! I swear!"

"No, she didn't."

A shadowy figure with hair as black as a bloodthirsty crow stepped out of the darkness in the room. It was Sabrina.
