(Remy POV)

I’m sitting in the meeting room drinking my blood mixed ice coffee while waiting for the council to show up in the meeting room, i play on my phone while everyone files in the grandmaster clears their throat

“Remington black we have called you here for a very important mission” i look at them

“what is this important mission?” the councilor next to them speaks next

“we want you to find virgil black so he can reclaim his throne.” I take another sip before I answer

“why me?” the whole council looks at me and the grandmaster replies “because you were closest to him before he disappeared.” I look at the council “I accept.”

(Janus POV)
(Modern day)

I don’t know why i let myself be dragged to a weird graveyard in the middle of nowhere by my boyfriend who has no common sense, that’s probably why, someone has to watch Remus if it’s not me then who Roman no he’s busy with logan and patton and his vampirism, so here i am with remus as he’s dragging me towards an extremely ornate tomb,

“babe we should check out what’s inside” remus says while still holding my hand and walking to the tomb inside there is a coffin chained with what looks like enchanted silver chains, remus lets go of my hand and goes up to the coffin,

“babe i’m going to break the chains step back” i step back as remus takes out his sturdiest dagger and breaks the chains one by one,

“Hon, I'm glad logan gifted you that dagger.” he smirks at me

“help me with the lid?” I nod and go over to him and open the coffin and we look inside and it’s empty. Remus sighs disappointedly and we turn around and we’re being held by a beautiful but strong person up against the coffin

“who dares break into my tomb?” Remus moans softly i death glare at him of course he’s getting off on this situation. I turn my attention back to the beauty

“I'm Janus Dara and this is my boyfriend Remus Sanders, who are you?” the vampire i notice as his grip weakens slightly, and he sighs so i see his fangs

“i’m virgil black i was next in line for the vampiric throne but where am i?” I look at Virgil and he drops us. He looks extremely pale even for a vampire and down he goes into Remus's arms and his eyes close, he went unconscious, Remus picked him up bridal style and we went to the car,

“so what now janus?” remus looks at me

“we go home” remus lays virgil in the backseat and then hops in the driver’s seat, i get into the passenger seat and remus starts the car driving us to our secluded five bedroom house, we arrive and remus parks and then grabs virgil from the back seat and takes him into the basement apartment that remus uses for when roman visits. Remus comes back up stairs

“he’s out like a light, when he wakes he’ll probably be hungry, you feed him or i do?” i look at him

“you can be his first feed for a long time, but i will make you extra of whatever when he wakes.”

(Virgil POV)
(Modern day)

I wake up slowly but not in the cursed coffin i look around i’m in a surprisingly big bed i hear two people talking about something my hearing is not that good the blanket is soft, i sit up and my stomach growls at me i whisper, as to not alert anyone that i’m awake

“shh stomach now is not the time”  i look around the room that I’m in it’s a normal bedroom i walk silently towards the door and open it and suddenly the voices become clear,

“…but i will make you extra of whatever when he wakes.” the voice i recognize it at the tomb where i was sealed it’s janus another voice huskily whimsical

“thanks babe i know i’ll need it” i silently move through the hallway into a beautiful living room that looks like it’s underground

“duh, when is roman coming over next?” janus replies the other voice responds

“next month, why?” janus responds

“i want to make sure that our guest is comfortable before he arrives, you know how he is around other vampires around his brother.” the other voice speaks like he’s exasperated

“yeah damn asshole like a knight in shining armor it gets annoying after a while” i silently move through the living room and up the stairs to a door and slowly open the door the voices stop as i open the door the both of them look at me i look down janus carefully approaches me,

“are you ok love? You fainted on us” i played with the hem of my cloak

“yeah my cursed coffin held me there for a while” the person who i’m guessing is Remus gasped

“you were cursed to be in there?” i nod, janus guides me to sit next to remus on the couch i look up and see remus moving his shirt collar to expose his neck i blushed and hid my face in my hands and scooted away from remus as much as the couch allowed janus was in the kitchen preparing some food for the both of them i squeak, remus notices my behavior,

“you’re not hungry?” I look at him through my hands.

“I don't want to turn you, the only time I bit someone there I turned him, he’s my best friend but that was over a hundred years ago.” Remus laughs

“can’t turn someone who has vampirism in their blood” i blush slightly,

“you said your brother is a vampire right?” Remus nods

“did he try turning you?” remus shook his head no

“Remy tried when he learned that roman and i are twins but roman was born a vampire while i was born a human, we were supposed to each be dampheires but luck decided that we were better off as human and vampire twins” i blink owlishly

“did you say remy?” Remus nodded,

“Um, would his last name be black?” remus and janus gasp remus speaks,

“you know remy?” i nod

“i turned him” remus looked at me

“He asked me to turn him” Remus nodded then offered his neck again

“eat. i’m betting you haven't eaten since you got sealed” my stomach growls i blush i kneel beside remus and steady myself on remus’s shoulders and sink my fangs into the base of his neck and drink until i get full then release his neck and lick the wounds, remus gasped as the wounds healed instantly, i giggle slightly that’s one of the perks of being next in line for the vampiric throne my saliva heals instantly remus gets up and rushes to show janus and he trips luckily i got my speed back i was able to catch him before he face planted into the hardwood flooring,

“wow i’m really falling for you” he wiggled his eyebrows i debated dropping him on his face but i righted him i sigh and heard janus sigh

“remus hon can you go sit you just got drank from” remus sits at the table

“jan it was so hot, he didn’t even leave a mark which not even roman can do” i sigh

“ you said he was born a vampire but you have dampheire parents?” Remus nods

“what branches if you know?” Remus looks thoughtful for a second.

“I believe the Sanders and Dvalinn branches, mom being the Dvalinn and dad the Sanders.” i nod neither strong enough to defeat a black but we are the monarchs of vampire society but the galaxies are magical enough to make ok leaders.

“Remus, what does your brother do?” Remus smirked at me

“he works for the counsel as a secretary along with one of his soulmates, Logan. Why? Are you curious?” I have no clue who the counsel is. I look him dead in the eyes

“Who or what is the counsel?” Remus looked at me with shock.

“They are responsible for finding the lost monarch, at least that’s what Remy and Roman told me about them.” i nod and sit at the table janus serves him and remus dinner with remus’s portion be larger than janus’s i just sit there after feeding on remus for a human with vampiric blood he is delicious and kinda kinky it’s kinda hot and now i’m blushing remus is too focused on eating but janus is looking at me like he knows what i’m thinking about he passes me a piece of paper on it

‘thinking about remus?’ I nod at him and I write back to him

‘has he always been this kinky?’ I slide it back and he nods

‘he was worse in high school’ i giggle a little bit i look at the clock it’s almost sunrise. I squeak

“Um, where am I staying?” Just then the phone rang and Janus answered it

“hello?” thanks to my amazing hearing i can hear the entire conversation,

“hey janus babes can i come over?” janus sighs

“Sure Remy we were just finishing dinner.” I hear Remy excitedly exclaim

“Thanks, I'll be there in about an hour. Bye” and a click janus puts the phone back and turns to remus

“Remy will be here in about an hour” Remus nods and leaves to go do something, janus then turns to me

“so how much did you hear?” i look guiltily at Janus

“everything” he  sighs

“Guess we should talk about rooms,” I nod.

(Remy POV)
(Modern day)

I hang up on janus and head to my car i can’t trust anyone else to help me with this except janus and especially remus since remus spends so much time in graveyards with tombs and he might know where to start looking i text emile that i’m staying with remus and janus today so he doesn’t worry about me, i get into my car and start the hour long drive to janus and remus’s place.

(Virgil POV)
(Modern day)

So janus and i figured out that i would stay in the guest room next to his and remus’s room and they are searching for clothes that will fit me so they can wash my current outfit, remus bursts in and drops some clothes in front of me

“pick something most of this is from when roman and i were in our goth phase a couple of years ago, it may be a little big, we can shop for more stuff later if you're going to stay” i look at remus and smile softly

“sure i’ll stay” he smiles widely and leaves the room i pick out a pair of black sweatpants and a plain black shirt and a pair of underwear then i go to the bathroom attached to the bedroom as i'm showering i smell a familiar scent, remy, i quickly finish my shower and get dressed and then quietly make my way to remus and janus’s living room and Remy is at the door being let in by janus i smell remus next to me, i motion for him to be quiet.

(Remy POV)
(Modern day)

I smell the area once i get in thanks to janus it has a familiar scent other than remus and janus it can’t be this easy to find virgil but the scent of fresh rain and vanilla mixed with the scents of cinnamon and chocolate and amber and berries, it’s not overpowering but mixed amazingly with janus and remus’s scents virgil is here but where? My senses aren’t sharp enough to pick his movement up until he shows himself to me, i look around and only see  remus and someone who looks like virgil but he’s in baggy clothes janus directs us to the living room remus and janus take the couch the virgil like person sits in one of the armchairs i take the other

“Remus, janus can we speak privately?” janus nods to the virgil, he gets up and leaves upstairs,

“so Remy  what do we owe the pleasure?” Janus asks politely but i can see he is kinda angry, Remus looks grumpy, i take an unneeded breath,

“the counsel has tasked me with finding the vampire prince virgil black.” They look at me. Remus gets up and bolts upstairs. Janus looks at me and smiles softly

“I think we found Virgil black, no actually we found him.”
