The cafeteria was filled as usual with teenagers and two annoyed looking lunch ladies. Camilla sighed as she spotted her friends at the middle of the room. She was about to push her way through the crowd when she felt someone's arm around her neck. She smiled up at Jordan as he made the crowd of students part like the red sea.

"Hey Cam" Sean said as soon as he saw Camilla. He gave Jordan a short nod before returning to his lunch. As soon as Camilla and Jordan were seated, V strode confidently towards the table and dropped her tray.

"So I was thinking.." Micheal started and V groaned, "I'm serious sis. Let's find the person behind this whole killing spree, the person whose helping or even sponsoring the blood mages." He completed. Everyone looked at him with boredom stretched all over their faces and he sighed. "So you guys are comfortable leaving everything in the hands of the adults?" He asked.

"Calm your horses brother" V said smiling devilishly while holding her brother's hands. Micheal himself shivered in fear at one glance at his sister. "Let me take our minds back to that day. What if a certain young man that saved us was actually behind the entire thing and decided to save us because his sister was among us?" V said smiling sweetly at Scarlett who was now glaring at her, "I mean, no offence, but isn't it weird that your brother..." she said pointing her perfectly manicured nail at Scarlett, "was at that scene at that particular time. Since your from a family of witches and all, maybe those guys were your cousins and-"

   "V, it's enough!"Sean yelled making the whole cafeteria freeze. V just laughed and picked a fry from her tray.

  "I really hope you choke from all the shit you talk" Scarlett said before looking at her soda, "if you need something to wash down all of your stupidity, then here's my soda" she said before emptying her cup on V's face. V gasped in shock as the liquid rolled down her face smudging her make-up. Scarlett stormed out of the cafeteria followed by Sean.

   "Not cool sis, not cool" Micheal said taking his tray and leaving the cafeteria.

   "I'm really disappointed in you V" Camilla started, looking at V who was trying to use napkins to wipe her face, "I mean look at Scarlett, Jordan and I. We have no business in all the crazy stuff that's going on. Heck, we could've easily acted like we were normal residents of this infected town and remain oblivious but here we are ready to risk our lives and you sit here and talk smack about the very person that helped save you. You haven't even checked if it's your dad or uncle or any of the so-called founding members that is behind everything. I know you are angry and all but you need to know when to shut up" Camilla said taking her bag and storming out of the cafeteria followed by Jordan who didn't spare V a glance.

   Camilla stepped into uncle Russell's house with her phone in her hand.

  "What's up? Why did you text me to come- oh hey Scarlett" she said as she spotted Scarlett on the living room couch watching TV.

  "Hey Camilla and he's not going to answer you. I've been asking since I came five minutes ago." Scarlett replied and Sean rolled his eyes.

  "I only told you to wait that Camilla was going to come" he responded and Camilla raised her brows signalling him to explain why they were there before he added, "and others"

   "Wait, who else is coming? Don't tell me it's-" as if on cue V entered the house along with her brother. As soon as V saw the trio most especially Scarlett and Camilla she muttered 'oh great' under her breath.

   "Since you all except one are here, I'd like all of us to use this avenue to reconcile and work together for the good of this town." Sean started looking pointedly at V, "if you know what you are supposed to do, please go ahead and do it" he concluded.

   "What do you expect me to do" V started before groaning loudly and turning to Scarlett, "ok fine I'm sorry okay? I'm sorry that I accused your brother of having a hand in everything that's been going on ." She said and Scarlett looked away, "You can't blame me though. I been trained my whole life to kill witches because they are evil so you don't expect me to suddenly wake up one day and believe that a witch out of the rest is good."

   "I understand your upbringing but that doesn't mean you should entirely loose your sense of reasoning and randomly put the blame on just anyone" Scarlett replied and V sighed.

"To avoid taking this too far, V has apologised. Scarlett do you accept her apology?" Camilla asked and Scarlett nodded.

  "Since that's over with, let's focus on the important task at hand" Sean started but was cut off when the front door opened revealing Jordan. "Nice of you to join us." Sean said as Jordan kissed Camilla on her head as he sat down beside her. "It's been almost two days since the mage incident so it's either they are on the move, planning to move or have already moved. So just in case they haven't moved yet, I want all of us to be on guard in case any of us notices something."

   "Good try boy" Camilla said before looking at all of them, " There are two major routes leading in or out of the town. The road leading to Granger Falls is mostly crowded so V and Sean can stay there. Micheal can stay in the other one." She said and the three aforementioned nodded, "Scarlett can stay at home and find spells that should be useful while Jordan and I will stay at the abandoned road leading to the forest." She concluded smiling proudly, "Any questions?" She asked and they all muttered 'no'. "And finally, we are doing all these in the night in order not to arouse any unwanted suspicion" she added.

   "Wow, you are really bossy.. but in a good way" Micheal added making them laugh, well not all of them.

   It was already eleven in the night when Camilla decided to go home. She was already feeling sleepy, thank goodness for the clone she left at home. She stood up from the log she was sitting on and was about to leave from her hiding place when she heard footsteps. She stepped back into the place she was hiding and held her breath. The police were a couple of feet away from where she was hiding yet her heart was beating so fast.

  "Drax, take care of those officers will you" a voice ordered and in a second all the officers were on the ground. A good number of people in black started walking towards the forest. Each of the carrying one load or the other. It was obvious who those people were. The owner of the voice that gave the orders was revealed and Camilla gasped in shocked. He instantly turned to her direction but she felt someone's hand on her mouth before she was dragged out.
