October 5th

   "Just in on the news tonight. An eighteen year old Nora Bright has been reported missing for three days. Her friends and family members have no idea where the teen might be. The town police are still doing their best to find the girl and we can only hope she's alright. Once again this is channel 7, thanks for watching", the news reporter ended.

    "Camilla, be careful ok? Make sure Jordan brings you back on time" Camilla's mother said when the ads came on. Camilla nodded and took her bag.

   "Your mother is right, come back early. Wait, who's Jordan?" Her dad asked taking a sip from his mug. Camilla widened her eyes and waved her hand at them before dashing out of the house.

  Jordan was tapping his steering wheel patiently. He looked at the front door of Camilla's house and saw her run out. She opened the door and sat down panting.

  "What's with the morning exercise?" Jordan asked driving out.

  "My dad was asking about you" she replied placing her head on the window.

  "Oh" Jordan simply said, "He doesn't hate me or anything right?" He asked nervously.

  "He doesn't even know about you, just my mum knows" Camilla replied and he sighed in relief.

  "Has anyone seen the tattoo yet?" Jordan asked as he and Camilla walked into the school.

   "Not even my mum" she replied. Ever since that night she was bitten, she slowly learnt to embrace her new life. She visited Mark often and he taught her the basic steps in transformation. Although the whole ordeal was weird to her, it was still exciting. "I have a test this morning. I need to go to class and revise." She said walking away.

   "Ok babe, good luck" Jordan said absentmindedly. Camilla froze in her steps before turning to him.

   "Don't call me that." She said shuddering a little.

   "Why babe?" Jordan added amusedly.

   "It's so cringy. So stop" she replied.

   "What do I call you then?" He asked ruffling her hair. Micheal passed the both of them and nobody even noticed him.

   "Think of something later. Anything but.. that" she replied before speed walking to class. She saw Micheal and smiled widely. "Hey Michael" she greeted and the boy gave her a sad smile.

   "Hey" he replied quietly. Camilla looked at him strangely. She was wondering if something happened to him. He was the last person that could be quiet even if his life depended on it.

  "Is anything wrong?" She asked him and he laughed sadly.

  "So you and Jordan huh?" He asked and Camilla felt her heart drop. She added everything up and realized why he was sad. She didn't know what to say. Yes? sorry? Anything she says would make it worse, she thought. "I have to go. See you at lunch" he said before walking out. Camilla looked at his retreating back and sighed sadly. She didn't mean to hurt anyone especially not Micheal.

   "I can't believe you stopped to get food when we were running late" Scarlett spat angrily. Sean looked at her apologetically while biting into his donut.

   "In my defense, I told you I didn't have breakfast" Sean said swallowing the donut in his mouth.

  "Sean!"V called out angrily storming towards them, "where is my maths homework you 'borrowed' on Friday?" She asked walking closer to him.

  "See you later Scarlett!" Sean called out before running to his class. The bell rang signalling the beginning of classes.

  "Here's your homework, V. Sean forgot it when he came to my dad's cafe on Saturday" Scarlett said giving V her book. V sighed in relief and took the book from her.

   "Are you two back together?" V asked walking beside Scarlett. Scarlett gave her a small smile before shaking her head.

   "No, we are just friends now" she replied before running off to class, "see you later" she said and V nodded.

   "I can't believe every movie now ends by four. What's wrong with this town?" Micheal asked stuffing his phone into his pocket.

  "I think it's the October fever" Sean said casually as they walked to their respective cars which was parked at the far end of the parking lot. Micheal and his sister stared at Sean in confusion. "Every October, the town has this belief that something bad happens at night so everyone is advised to stay indoors. Even school dismisses an hour earlier." Sean explained.

   "Did you guys hear about the student that was kidnapped?" Camilla asked. Jordan walked beside her silently. He may be dating Camilla but that didn't mean he was friends with her friends.

   "Yeah, I did. Some women in my dad's cafe said that the girl ran away from her house " Scarlett replied and Camilla nodded.

  "I hope the police finds her. This town creeps me out sometimes." Camilla said.

  "I don't think the police has to." V suddenly said looking at the corner of the parking lot. Camilla followed V's eyes and shrieked. Scarlett shook in fear and Sean covered her eyes.

   The missing girl laid there lifeless looking paler than even a dead body. Her eyes were wide open and her facial expression held fear although she was dead.

   "Someone should please call the police" Camilla said quietly.

   It was already seven in the night of the same tragic day the dead teen was found. Doctor Anderson had taken her away before any other eye could see her. The police had sealed the  place where she was found so nobody else could go there.

   V walked into the school parking lot. The entire town was quiet almost as if no one lived there. Only the sound of V's footsteps was heard. Although her father and uncle were already on the case, she didn't feel comfortable with the result of the case. She wanted to investigate it first-hand, maybe starting from where the body was found. She turned on her flashlight and walked quickly to the scene. She bent down and searched for anything, an evidence or a clue that would help her. She heard someone chuckle behind her and she slowly turned around. A weird looking man stood there and gave her a crooked smile. She felt her body shut down, her eye lids became heavier and her legs gave up.

  "Two girls already? We are so lucky this year" the man said happily, looking at V that laid on the floor.
