Chapter Eleven

Camilla dragged herself inside the school. Not only did she spend her time doing assignments yesterday, she had spent her whole night wondering where Jordan was. He didn't come to school the previous day and he wasn't even picking up his phone.

She looked around the hallway wondering if the boy came to school. They both had English today so she hoped she'll see him there.

"Hey Camilla" Micheal said. Camilla gave him a small smile opening her locker. "Do you want to hang out after school?" He asked. Camilla nodded tiredly, she didn't see the point in rejecting the offer. "Great, so i'll see you after school" Micheal said enthusiastically. He finally asked Camilla to hang out with him. Even though it was not exactly what he planned for their first date but hanging out was equally nice.

"Have you seen Sean?" Camilla asked wondering if Sean had started asking Scarlett for forgiveness.

"Yeah, he was quiet when I saw him so I didn't bother to ask him what was wrong." Micheal said walking her to class. Camilla nodded in understanding, she looked around one more time to check if she'll see a certain boy but she didn't see him.

Micheal opened the door of the small ice cream shop for Camilla. Camilla desperately needed ice cream to cool off. She didn't see Jordan the whole day and on top of that, he wasn't even picking up his phone. She wondered if something went wrong. What type of person am I? I don't even know where he lives, she thought.

Micheal chose a booth close to the big window so they could enjoy the view outside. Not that there was anything special to look at. After they placed their order, Camilla decided to look at the busy people hoping it would take her mind off Jordan. Camilla's eyes doubled in size when she saw the same Jordan she has been worried about walking side by side with an unfamiliar girl.

"Who is she?" Camilla muttered loud enough for Micheal to hear. He looked at who she was talking about and shook his head.

"I don't know, does she go to our school?" Micheal asked and Camilla shrugged taking out her phone. She dialled Jordan's number and she watched him take his phone out of his pocket. He stared at his phone for a while before the girl he was walking with tugged his arm. He stuffed the phone back in his pocket before walking with her.

Camilla balled her fist in anger. She was here worrying about a guy that was out on a date. That idiot, what till I -

"Camilla, here's your ice cream" Micheal said cutting her off her thoughts. She smiled at him before digging in. Her anger didn't affect her appetite at all. She looked back out of the window and saw Jordan on the other side of the road with his date. He opened the door for her and was about to shut it when he felt someone looking at him. He looked at the ice cream shop and saw the last person he expected to see staring back at him.

Micheal used his thumb to wipe ice cream from the side of Camilla's mouth shocking her. She thanked him before wiping her mouth. Jordan gritted his teeth in anger and slammed the door of the car shut. He had to stop himself from storming off to the ice cream shop. He drove out more pissed off than he has ever been.

"Do you want to see a movie or something?" Micheal asked hopefully but Camilla was absentmindedly staring at the spot where Jordan's car was once parked. She was tired already of staying there. All she wanted to do was to wrap herself with her blanket.

"I have homework to do, sorry" Camilla said standing up. Micheal nodded in understanding and stood up.

"Maybe another day" he said a little bit sad. Maybe another day, just maybe, he thought.

A large number of people stood round the big flat stone in the middle of the forest. That night was very special for all wolves. It was the night of the trifecta moon. They were all happy about that special occasion. The happiest of them all was Ciara. She stood in between her parents looking almost angelic in a plain white floral gown. Her white skin complemented her bright green eyes and her brown hair that cascaded down her back.

Jordan's father walked confidently to the middle of the opening. His presence alone made some of the pack members shiver in fear. His ruthlessness made them all afraid and being their alpha on top of it all, made him almost worshipped.

"Brothers! Sisters! Tonight is the night we've all been waiting for. The night of the trifecta moon. My son and his chosen mate will absorb the moon as per the ritual. Once they have bonded for life, Jordan will be strong enough to protect this pack in the future. He'll be the trifecta wolf!" He said proudly. The pack members whistled and clapped. They were genuinely happy for Jordan. Jordan's father motioned for Ciara to step forward and she did with the biggest smile on her face.

Ciara's father had a look of pride in his face when he saw his little girl stand beside the sacred stone. She was already a grown woman and today, she was going to get engaged to the son of the alpha. Son of the alpha... Where is he?

"Where is Jordan?" He asked and everyone looked around in confusion.

Camilla stepped out of the bathroom in her comfy grey sweatpants and her dad's t-shirt. She spent her time watching movies and trying to not think about what happened earlier that day. It was already 11:30pm so she decided it was time to finally slip into her dream world.

Her phone beeped and she picked it from the dresser.

"Am I late for the midnight stroll?
- Jordan"

She tried to fight off the smile on her face. He was with another girl, he ignored your calls, you should be mad at him, she reminded herself.

"Yes" she replied. She sat on the edge of her bed waiting for his reply. She cursed herself for being like that but she couldn't help but stare at her phone.

"Too bad, I'm already downstairs
- Jordan"

She rushed to her window like a Disney princess and he was actually standing outside her house. She wanted to run downstairs and meet him but at the same time, she didn't want to seem too desperate. I'm just going to hear what he has to say and come back upstairs, she said trying to convince herself. She put on her slippers and her jacket and sneaking out yet again.

"I almost thought you won't come out" Jordan said immediately he saw Camilla come outside. She folded her arms in anger and tapped her foot on the ground. She was supposed to look intimidating but she looked cute standing there, being tough.

"I really need to go to bed so talk fast" she snapped and he smiled before taking her hand. He walked down the road with her hand in his. She didn't even try to protest, apart from weakly wriggling her hand.

"That girl was Ciara and she's just a childhood friend." Jordan explained. Even though Camilla looked nonchalant, he knew she expected an explanation.

"I didn't ask.." she said looking at the houses they passed. She was happy that the girl was just a friend and not a secret girlfriend or anything. "Why haven't you been in school since yesterday?" She asked looking at him. She watched his face morph into a conflicted look before going back to being blank.

"My dad wanted me to stay and help plan this big event at home" he simply said. He didn't want to go into details, just not that night.

"Oh ok" Camilla replied. She was satisfied with his response. At least he remembered their date. Jordan was about to take another step when he groaned in pain. Camilla rushed to his side immediately trying to hold him up. His eyes turned bluish red and Camilla gasped. She felt her body burn and she wheezed in pain. As quickly as it came, the pain left making the two of them sigh.

"What was that?" Camilla asked and Jordan looked at her in confusion. She was utterly confused but her mind almost became blank when she looked at the strange moon. She watched the red moon, that had a hint of blue, in the sky. She was blown away by the the colour. She had never for once seen it. She stopped and gazed at the beauty above her.

"It's so pretty" she said quietly. Jordan looked up and sighed. He held her hand tightener and nodded.

"Yes, it is" he replied before standing in front of her. Camilla looked at him in confusion and he smiled at her. "Will you be my girlfriend, Camilla?" He asked and she looked at him with wide eyes.

"Are you serious? Do you mean girlfriend as in female friend or girlfriend as in girlfriend? I know it may be weird asking that but you know at first we were barely friends but.." Jordan pecked her lips cutting her off her rambling.

"I mean girlfriend as in girlfriend. Any more questions?" He asked smiling at her and she looked at the moon as a form of distraction.

"Oh ok. What I mean is yes, uh.. yeah. I should shut up now" she replied turning back and speed walking back to her house before she could further embarrass herself.

"Wait for me babe!" Jordan called after her making Camilla smile cheekily.

*********
Jordan entered his compound and saw his father storming towards him. He knew he was already in a big problem. He felt bad for leaving Ciara there but his father wouldn't listen to him if he attended so he just avoided it.

"How dare you?!" His father yelled slapping Jordan on the face. His nails were out due to anger so he gave Jordan a scar on his face. "Not only did you disgrace our entire family, you missed the trifecta ritual. Are you going to wait for the moon for another century?!" He asked in rage. Ciara stood behind Jordan's father in pain, she was broken.

"Dad, I told you I didn't want to perform the ritual" Jordan replied.

"I missed the ritual and it was greatest mistake of my life. I clearly told you not to do anything stupid and you went ahead and willingly missed the most important day of your life!" His father yelled. He drew his son my his collar and was about to beat sense into him when he noticed something glowing on his son's neck. He drew down the collar of the cloth reaping the cloth in the process.

"She can't be a member of this pack" Jordan's father whispered, "who is she?" He asked stepping back a little.

"She's a human" Jordan responded. He put two and two together and he knew what his father saw.

"That's not possible" his father said looking at the moon boldly drawn on his son's neck in golden.
