5 - Determination

Joe cracked the door open slightly, and got a shirt in his face. "Dude..." He peeled it off before tossing it aside. "Cody, what are you doing?"

His brother was glaring at him so hard, that if looks could kill, Joe would be dead a thousand times over. "Nothing. What does it look like?"

Sighing, the chicken walked over to Cody. The pair just glanced at eachother before looking at the ground. "So... nice weather?" Cody chuckled at his brother's attempt to make conversation.

After that though, not much else was said. "So... what now? How are you feeling after the news?" Joe placed a hand on Cody's shoulder, the penguin just looking down at the ground. "I don't know, dude... I need to find them though." Before Joe could try to stop him, he was interrupted. "And don't try to stop me, Joe, it won't work."

Joe sighed. The one thing he always hated about his brother was that once he set his mind on something, he would either complete it or die trying, and Joe really didn't want any of them ending in the second option. After another moment of silence, he spoke up.

"Well, if I can't stop you, at least let me help you somehow. I'll come with you, you probably need some company for the road."

"Joe, I can't drag you into my messes with me."

"Too bad, I'm coming anyways."

Cody looked at his brother properly, and saw that he was deadly serious, eyes showing no sign of a joke. He knew he couldn't stop him, this was Joe were talking about.

"Fine, fine..."

"ADVENTURE DAY!!! WERE GONNA FIND YOUR PARENTSSS DADAAADOO" Joe stood up and sang very loudly, causing Cody to erupt into laughter. The chicken grinned at his brother.
