Doll walked down from the house down the flight of stairs. Her white hair blew with the wind as she opened the gate and walked into the garden. She looked at a figure sitting in a wooden wheel chair. His hat covering his eyes as his coat protected him from the cold.

Doll approached the figure and bent down so she was eye level with him. She reached for his hat however the figure was quick to react as he brought his hand up and grabbed her wrist. This however didn't scare her nor cause her to flinch as she just kept a straight face.
The figure looked up at her and let her go.
???: Sorry Doll. Just had another nightmare.
Doll put her hand on the figures shoulder. A smile plastered on her lips.

Doll: It is okay Gehrman.

The old man looked at her and sighed leaning back into his chair and rubbing his eyes.

Gehrman: So...the hunt begins again..

Doll's eyes shot up. She slowly looked around. She sighed and stood up she went up to the house and went inside. She looked at the figure infront of her.

Doll circled around you to the front. You looked at her and admired her beauty. The way the moon shone off her skin.

(Y/n): Yes Doll?

Doll: I see that you are back here Hunter.

You chuckled and held her hand in yours.

(Y/n): We've been over this Doll. Its (Y/n).

Doll giggled.

Doll: Sorry. Its just a name I found natural to call you. Apologies.

You shook your head and leaned back in your chair. Rubbed the arm rest of the chair and sighed.

(Y/n): The first hunter...

Doll looked at you with a questionable look as she kneeled beside you.

(Y/n): Gehrman. Can't imagine the pain and torture he must have been in to have that title for a long time.

Doll: It was a tough part to fill. To see him gone now brings me sadness. But to know he's finally free bring me joy too.

You looked at her and smiled. She smiled back.

Suddenly you heard lightning and looked up at the sky. You saw a green light in the sky as well as green rips in the sky.

You slowly stood up and walked to the window and looked outside. You saw parts of the world being sucked away.

(Y/n): What is this?! What's happening?!

Doll looked out too and looked at the green rifts.

Doll: Hunter's dream...its...

A rift appeared in the room you were in. You and Doll looked at it. A green lightning bolt shot out at you and Doll getting you both.

(Y/n): Gah!

You knelt down and gasped. You looked at Doll to see her groaning holding her chest. A portal appeared and she got sucked into it.

(Y/n): Doll!

You felt yourself getting sucked in as well. You triedto pull away but instead was pulled in as the Hunter's dream withered away from your sight.

You groaned and stood up clenching your head.

You looked around to see that you were in a hall. You noticed the sunshine and looked outside.

(Y/n): The sun...?

You put your head against the glass and sighed.

You could feel the warmth from it. A warmth you haven't felt in a very long time.

(Y/n): Praise the fucking sun.

You pushed away from the window and walked down the hall. On the way, you saw a green flash from a room at the end. Your eyes widened.

(Y/n): Doll!

You sprinted to the door with your weapons in hand.

You kicked open the door and saw a woman being held in the air surrounded by green and red energy and a large person with red rocks morphed with his face and body.

The woman and the man looked at you. She groaned and hit the glowing red object towards you. You looked at it and put chikage and Evelyn away and grabbed the object but immediately regretted it as you felt a stinging pain course through your veins.

The tall mans eyes widened. He gritted his teeth and ran at you

???: Yaaargghh

As soon as he got close to you, green energy burst from the object blasting him back as the environment around you went black.

You opened your eyes feeling the pain in your left arm. You looked to see a green mark on it.
(Y/n): Bloody hell.
You cursed under your breath and looked around.
It was dark, eerie and cold. You saw a green light on top of what looked like a mountain, you covered your eyes and walked to the top.
What was a few minute walk felt like hours.
Whatever this thing on your arm was it was draining you of your stamina. You heard a shriek and looked behind you to see a horde of spiders charging towards you.

(Y/n): Fuck. I'm having Rom flashbacks!

You ran and climbed to the top of the mountain.

You saw a woman infront of you who put her hand out to you. Once you grabbed a hold of her you found yourself enter the real world again right before passing out onto the hard ground.

Timeskip (your p.o.v) ~

Here I was. Cuffed kneeling in the middle of the room while being watched over by guards.
Honestly it was good to see human life again.
However just like the residents in Yharnam, they look like they'd still try to kill me. I looked over at my cloak and hat, if these guards don't kill me then hypothermia will first, its freezing in here.

My train of thought was stopped when the mark on my hand flared up. God the pain, it felt like my veins were on fire. It stopped after a few seconds.

Then I heard the door open infront of me. I looked up to see a woman with short black hair, armour and a sword and shield walk in with a woman wearing armour with a hood having a strand of orange hair on the left side of her face. The black haired woman circled me.

???: Tell me why we shouldn't kill you now? The Conclave is destroyed. Everyone who attended is dead. Except for you.

Conclave? The fuck is she talking about?

Me: I have no idea what's going on..

The woman grabbed my left arm bringing it up to my face which seemed to trigger the mark and make it flare up.

???: Explain this!

She dropped my hand.

Me: I...don't know how it got there.

???: what do you mean you don't know?!

I narrowed my eyes at her.

Me: How about telling me what the actual fuck is happening!

The woman growled and grabbed me by what clothing I had left on.

???: Watch your tongue you lying scum!

The girl in the hood pulled the woman back making sure there's enough distance between us.

???: We need him Cassandra!

Me: Cassandra huh?

I thought as I shuffled in place.

The woman known as Cassandra took a deep breath and nodded. The girl in the hood turned to me.

???: Do you remember anything? Anything rhat could give us a clue on how all this began?

I looked down....Hold on...Why can't I remember? Had I complety forgotten what happened in the last twenty-four hours? How?! Could it be this mark?

I calmed myself and told them what I could remember.

???: A woman?

I nodded.

Me: She reached out to me. When I took her hand. I found myself back in the real world again.

The two woman looked at eachother. They're probably wondering what I meant by 'real world.' I tried to get up but the guards pointed their swords at me and Cassandra put her hand on the hilt of her sword. I sighed.

Me: Look. I can help. But first I need to get a clearer picture on what's going on.

Cassandra and the woman looked at eachother again before nodding.

Cassandra: Come with me.

I stepped back.

Me: Not without putting on some decent warm clothing.

She sighed.

After a minute or two of getting dressed like a child, my hands were tied up and I was directed outside with Cassandra. I looked up and saw a big rip in the sky with green light emitting off it.

Cassandra: We call it the Breach.

Meh. Heard better.

Cassandra: It's a massive rift into the world of demons that grows larger with each passing hour. It's not the only such rift, just the largest. All were caused by the explosion at the conclave.

Me: An explosion?

She nodded and I pointed at it.

Me: -did that?

She nodded again. Then again I've seen my share of unusual things in my lifetime. Suddenly the breach made a loud thunderstorm like sound. I narrowed my eyes at it before groaning in pain as the sound had caused the mark to burn. I fall to the ground in pain. Cassandra knelt down infront of
me.

Cassandra: Each time the Breach expands, your mark spreads...and it is killing you. It may be the key to stopping this but there isn't much time.

Killing me? Well it wouldn't be the first thing to attempt such an act.

Cassandra: We must act fast if we are to save your life.

Cassandra pulled me up to my feet and escorted me through town. I looked to my sides to see villagers scowl at me and her.

Cassandra: They have decided your guilt. They need it. The people of Haven mourn our Most Holy, Divine Justinia, head of the Chantry. The Conclave was hers. It was a chance for peace between mages and templars. She brought their leaders together.
Now, they are dead.

Me: A place without order is like a place of bloodshed and destruction.

Cassandra eyed me suspiciously.

Cassandra: You sound as if you've had an experience with such a world before.

I shook my head.

Me: You have no idea.

We reached a gate and saw some soldiers open the gate.

Cassandra: We lash out, like the sky. But we must think beyond ourselves, as she did. Until the breach is sealed.

Me: She?

Cassandra nodded while pulling out a dagger.

Cassandra: Lady Justinia.

Cassandra cut the roped. I rubbed my wrists while looking at her.

Cassandra: There will be a trial. I can promise no more. Now come, it is not far.

Me: Where are you taking me?

Cassandra: Your mark must be tested on something smaller than the Breach.

Smaller than that huge fucker in the sky. Jeez. I looked at the soldier who had my weapons.

Me: I don't suppose I can get those back?

Cassandra looked at me with a scowling look.

Cassandra: Unless you want that trial to be quick I advise you to stay unarmed.

I put my hands up in defense and followed. As we walk up the path, Cassandra kept eyeing me.

Me: Can I help you?

Cassandra: Do you have a name?

Me: My name is (Y/n). I'm from a land...very, very far from here.

Cassandra stopped and let you walk past her.

Cassandra: I'm curious.

Me: About?

I stopped and looked at her.

Cassandra: The weapons you had on you are like nothing anyone from this land has seen.
I sighed. Great, looks like I'm in the land before firearms.

Me: They're.. you guys have crossbows right?

She nodded.

Me: well one of those weapons there is like one.... but more effective.

I kept walking leaving her and the soldier puzzled in thought. I started to feel the pain again slowly rise. Suddenly the breach expanded again and caused the mark to flare up again sending the pain through your hand again.

Cassandra picked me up.

Cassandra: The pulses are coming faster now. The larger the Breach grows, the more rifts appear, the more demons we face.

We kept on moving. Demons? Heh. And I thought Yharnam had it bad.

Me: Cassandra quick question. How did your men find me?

Cassandra: They said you... stepped out of a rift, then fell unconscious. They say a woman was in the rift behind you. No one knows who she was.

Everything farther in the valley was laid waste, including the Temple of Sacred Ashes. I suppose you'll see soon enough.

You, Cassandra and the soldier carrying your weapons came to another bridge.

Me: Another question. Why is he bringing my weapons?

Cassandra: If it comes to it, we'll need you to fight too.

Me: Ah.

Cassandra, the soldier and I got to the middle of the bridge just as a meteor came towards you three and knocked out the hridge falling to the frozen lake beneath. Another green meteor comes out of the rift and lands right in front of the two of us.

I stood up with Cassandra as she took her sword out.

Cassandra: Stay behind me!

She charged at the demon slashing at it. Unknown to her that a second shade was forming behind her.

I looked behind you see see that your weapons had survived the fall. I ran to the weapons and picked them up.

Cassandra stabbed the demon in the heart causing it to turn into green ashes. As the second shade was about to strike her I stabbed it in the heart causing it to scream in pain and dissolve into nothing.

I felt the pressence of another one and with quick swift movements I slit its throat then its stomach and watched it wisp away. I panted and sheathed chikage into its holder.

Me: It's over.

I looked at Cassandra but had a blade inching infront of my face.

Cassandra: Drop them. Now!

I sighed knowing this was going to happen.

Me: alright. Here.

Third person p.o.v~

Cassandra looked down and sighed.

Cassandra: Wait.

She sheathed her sword and stood up straight clearing her throat.

Cassandra: It is obvious that you know how to fight and as much as I hate to admit it...I can't protect you forever.

She began walking away. You just stared at her before shaking your head and putting chikage on your belt and Evelyn back in her holister. You followed her up the path but stopped when she did. Cassandra looked back at you.

Cassandra: I should remember that you agreed to come willingly.

You nodded and you and Cassandra continued up the path to dangers that awaited you.
