"What is your name, young hunter?"

". . . Park."

"Let the transition begin, young hunter." A deep voice had uttered, followed by a dark chuckle that echoed into her ears. An elderly man, half of his face completely burnt off, had laughed, and laughed. . .

A migraine pounded at the back of her head. She'd no recollection of what had happened before this, she couldn't remember that her throat was aching because of her own ear-splitting screams. As if she was paralyzed in her sleep, she couldn't move a muscle.

Slowly, slowly, her eyes had opened. Brown hues were met with a dark wood ceiling that looked as if it'd cave in any second.

Sucking in a deep breath, the white haired girl slowly sat up, and a gasp was torn from her lips. This may have well been some sort of medical room, but in the midst of the darkness, she could very well see the blood staining her clothing, and pooling on the wooden floor. Her arm was terribly sore, and this brought her to roll up her dark sleeve. There was an obvious bruise, she must have been given an injection.

Park couldn't be as quiet as possible, as soon as she'd stepped off the wrecked hospital crutch, the wooden planked floor had made an awful creaking noise. The room smelled of familiar metallic red, bitter enough that she could taste it - mixed with strong, explainable chemicals.

Her long white hair stuck to the sweat of her skin, and draped over her aching shoulders. It may have well not been washed for days, or even weeks. A perfect white was muddled into an old, dusty grey.

In attempt to understand where she was, and what had happened, she left the now empty room, the floor screeching with every step.

"You shouldn't be up yet. . . !" A voice had startled the white haired girl, she'd immediately whipped around to it's owner. It was a firm voice, but elegant and feminine nonetheless. A woman in a stained white doctor's coat had looked back at Park. The supposed doctor had stood a little shorter than Park, her eyes were a bright cerulean blue, and long purple hair fell down her back - bangs cut straight over her forehead.

"Please, get back to your room. . ." The female doctor quickly rushed over to Park, and took her hand. The room was very dimly lit by candles and oil lamps, there was no electricity running. A multitude of hospital beds were laid out, a meter apart each.

"Hey! Sweetheart, I'm bleeding through my bandages." A male called out rather lazily. The doctor sighed, before returning to her patients, leaving Park standing in the middle of the room.

There were so many patients, all which who seemed to be doomed. There were no windows, not a drop of sunlight was to be seen, people were sure to die in here. . . Even still, this doctor was doing a fine job.

Very slowly, Park padded over to the doctor, dipping her head in a bow.

"My name is Shimizu Mai, this is my clinic." The purple haired girl nodded in greeting as well, her voice gentle as she introduced herself. "Ever since a strange disease was spread, almost everyone in Yharnam has died. It's the night of the hunt too, it's nothing but madness out there." Mai spoke as she quickly unwrapped the patient's bandage. A young man, salmon coloured hair and sage green eyes. His injuries were awful, surprising that he hadn't bled out to death.

"Careful, it hurts." He grumbled.

"I'm as careful as I can be, Atsuya." Mai responded duly. Under the blood dampened bandages, looked to be a bite wound. The flesh around it had discoloured to a sickening purple. As quickly as Park had seen it, Mai had re-wrapped it perfectly.

"So, where are you from, kid?" The male named Atsuya had almost glared at Park. Unfazed in the slightest, the young woman just shook her head.

"You were brought here. What is your name?" Mai lifted her bright eyes to the taller female.

"My name is simple, Park." In salutations, she brought a hand to her chest, and bowed. "I'm a hunter."
