CHAPTER 14 –  APART FOR NOW

One week had passed and both couldn't stay away from each other. Every night they would taste and feel each other's bodies. Walang araw na hindi huminto si Alexander sa pagtikim at paglalaro sa katawan ni Andi. And Andi would receive sweet kisses and hot thrusts to quench Alexander's and her insatiable lust. He was never aggressive or rough in bed. He was very gentle. Alexander used his time to explore Andi's body, learning where her sensitive spots. He made sure that Andi would feel comfortable, satisfied, and begging for more.

There were some mornings that Alexander couldn't help himself but to touch Andi again, but he also made sure that he would bond with her not just in bed. He would always talk to her, introduce new things to her, and if something sparks Andi's interest, he patiently taught her.

He couldn't believe that he was capable of doing this.

Right now, as he looked at Andi sleeping beside him, he couldn't believe that these were all happening. Sinong mag-aakala na babalik siya sa ganito? There was a lovely woman in his bed, touched him without any fear, and accepted his kisses.

Hinawi niya ang buhok nito at inipit sa tainga ng dalaga. Andi sleepily opened her eyes for a bit and went closer to Alexander to feel his warmth and presence. Alexander could only smile as he carefully kissed her head.

Andi had been comfortable with him ever since that night. She was slowly breaking the walls she built and let Alexander embrace her. That, at least, what Alexander felt for the past week. She was happy. She was smiling. She was interested to try new things. She found something she was good at.

She looked lively.

Naantala ang pagpapahinga ni Alexander nang mag-ring ang kanyang telepono. Dahan-dahan siyang humiwalay sa dalaga at tumayo. Kinuha niya ang kanyang cellphone at lumabas ng kuwarto. Nang makita niya kung sino ang tumawag ay napabuntong-hininga na lamang si Alexander. Agad siyang dumiretso sa kanyang opisina habang kausap ang isa sa kanyang mga kapatid.

"What do you need?"

"Master wants you to do something," Raiden answered on the other line.

"What is it?"

"She wants you to eradicate Tan as soon as possible," wika nito.

"That's what I am doing," kalmadong sagot ni Alexander.

"Do you want me to say the exact words she said? You're too f-cking slow."

Alexander clicked his tongue. He couldn't say anything about that. His master was right. He was way too relaxed with this task.

"And of course, she heard about your woman too."

Alaxander then sighed. "Are you calling just for this?"

"No, of course not."

"What is it?"

"I'll be gone for a while. I need to finish a couple of tasks in Europe. So, Maru will be alone here."

"So?"

"You'll be gone for some time too. Can you let Maru stay there for a while with your woman?"

"Raiden, are you dumb or what?"

"Am I, really? She will be alone there. Just by herself. Is that okay with you?"

Raiden has a point, he knew. If Lauren was getting impatient already, he needed to finish his task as soon as he can.

"I'll call you again. I'll talk to Andi first."

"So, her name is Andi."

"Yes."

"Then I'll be waiting for your call." Raiden then dropped the call. Alexander stood there beside the window and looked outside. He was gone for a week and only came back because Andi called him. He already had enough rest, he thought. It was time to get back to work. But first, he needed to talk with her and explained everything.

So that she could wait.

Wait for him until he returns.

Andi was busy finishing a book that she had been reading for a week now. She was in her favorite room, just one of the living rooms in Alexander's mansion. This was the room she would always drink her coffee, where she could see the front gate of the house. This room somehow became one of her favorite places in the house beside Alex's room.

Someone knocked on the door and Andi immediately looked up.

Nakita niya si Alexander na mayroong dala-dalang isang libro.

"Libro ulit? Hindi pa ako tapos dito," wika ni Andi saka tumingin sa librong kanyang binabasa. Alexander held her chin and leaned to kiss her. He then sat beside Andi and gave the new book to her.

"Andi..." tawag niya sa dalaga.

"I'll be gone for a couple of weeks."

Andi was surprised. She knew that sooner or later he would leave for his work. He delayed it already by returning home and spending his time with her. They couldn't prolong it anymore. She knew. Huminga siya ng malalim. She wanted to stop him. She wanted to be selfish.

Just stay here. Stay beside me.

But he had responsibilities he must do. And she couldn't stop him.

"How many weeks?" she carefully asked, hiding the disappointment in her voice.

"It can last for months.," he honestly answered. He didn't want to lie.

Tumango si Andi. "I understand."

"Can you wait for me?" tanong ni Alexander. Ngumiti ang dalaga sa kanya.

"Of course."

"Even if it takes me a year before I can return?"

"I have nowhere to go," Andi replied.

Ngumiti si Alexander at muling humalik sa dalaga. "Thank you."

He sincerely thanked her. And he would hold on to her words. He was just hoping that Andi could wait for him, even if it takes him not just a year but forever. But, of course, he would do anything to finish his task immediately, so that he could return and do different things with her.

"Then would you like to have a companion?"

Kumunot-noo si Andi. "Companion?"

"Raiden wants to leave Maru here with you. Would that be okay with you?"

Andi remembered the first time she met Maru. She was bubbly and friendly. She would love to talk with her again, but behind the words she said lies a deep meaning. That woman was too dangerous for her. Was it really okay to spend her time with her? She had only one way to find out. She had to meet her again.

"I think she's a good person. It's fine."

"Are you sure? She just recently transmuted, so I cannot guarantee your safety. Especially since you have special blood."

Ngumiti si Andi sa kanya. "She was in control the first time that I met her. I will trust her and your brother."

"I don't think that's a good thing."

"I'll be fine. Don't worry."

"I'll leave some bodyguards for you. Just in case she loses control."

Andi shook her head. "She won't. Believe me."

Natawa ng mahina ang binata. "You have high faith in her."

"I just know that she's a good woman. We'll get along pretty well."

"Okay, then I'll leave everything in your care."

Ngumiti muli si Andi. "Thank you."

"I'll be leaving at night. I'm sorry that I have to leave this early."

"It's okay. I understand."

Muling humalik si Alexander sa dalaga.

"All of my cards are in my office. There's a safe inside the black cabinet just in case you need cash. The password is your name."

Kumunot-noo si Andi. "My name?"

Ngumiti muli ang binata. "Your name."

"If you need help, just ask Osca and he would do anything for you. I advise you to stay inside the mansion. Refrain from going outside. It's still dangerous. I can be at ease knowing you're safe and sound here."

Ngumiti lamang si Andi sa binata at tumango. I don't think I'll be safe in your mansion too, Alexander. But I'll try to stay here as long as I can.

Tumayo na ang binata at nagpaalam muli sa kanya.

"One more thing. You can call me anytime, Andi. There's a cellphone in my office. You can use that. Or do you want me to buy one for you?"

Umiling ang dalaga. "Okay na ako sa cellphone mo."

Tumango-tango si Alexander. "Then I'll see you later when I leave."

Tumango pabalik si Andi.

When he left the room, Andi could only sigh. She stared at the book he gave to her. The sparks in her eyes left. Now it was just empty. Her days with Alexander were colorful. She never felt so happy before. Those were the best time of her life. And now that he would leave. What would happen to her? She emptily looked around the room.

Without Alexander, it was not going to be the same anymore.

Without him, her life would just be meaningless.

Can she really wait for that long?

She would try.

Andi was standing on the door frame while she watched Alexander talking with the servants and Osca. He was busy giving orders when a black car went inside Alexander's territory. They all looked to see who were the visitors late at this night. The car stopped and two gorgeous vampires got off from the car. It was Maru and Raiden. Maru smiled at her when their eyes met. Raiden went to Alexander and both of them talked.

Andi could only watch them from a distance.

Alexander then went to her and explained everything.

"We have to go. I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

Alexander kissed her one last time.

"I wish we can do some goodbye sex, but we don't really have any time for that."

Andi suddenly blushed.

"And I wish I could kiss you longer. This is enough for now. When I'm back, just be ready since I cannot assure you that I'll be gentle," he whispered.

Andi felt her cheeks burning. Did he really have to say it? Hindi makapaniwala si Andi sa binata. Alexander was always careful with his words, but when he was impatient, he could talk dirty too. Andi steadied her breathing. There were too many people watching them right now.

"Then I'll be expecting that you'll still be here when I get back. Please wait for me, Andi."

"I—I will."

Ngumiti si Alexander at tuluyan nang tumalikod sa kanya. Naglakad ito papalapit kay Maru at binantaan ito. The sweet and gentle Alexander could not be seen. The moment he talked to Maru, his whole expression and tone of voice changed.

"Just to warn you, Maru. Don't do anything reckless that will harm Andi. Or else I will cut your head."

Maru frowned. "Why is he always like this, Rai?"

Rai only shook his head. Alexander then got inside the car and left the two.

Raiden stared at Maru. He didn't want to leave Maru but he had no choice. Lauren would just kill him this time if he didn't follow her orders.

"Maru... We already talked about this but please be careful. I'll just repeat my brother's words. Don't be reckless. Please. Not only Lauren will kill us but Alexander too."

Maru only sighed. "I won't. I'll behave. Don't worry."

"I'll finish it as soon as I can."

"I know."

Raiden kissed Maru. Compare to his brother who could control himself, Raiden didn't. He drowned Maru with his kisses, played with her tongue, and bit her lip. He even went down to kiss her on her neck and almost to her chest when Maru stopped him.

"Rai, as much as I want to do it with you on the car hood or maybe on the roof, I'm not an exhibitionist. I'll gladly do it with you without any viewers." Maru then smiled at him and tapped both of his shoulders.

"Now off you go. I'll bang you non-stop when you get back."

Raiden could only laugh and shook his head.

"God, I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too. So, finish it as soon as you can. And be careful. Don't f-cking die. Okay?"

Tumango si Raiden at muling humalik sa dalaga. Sumunod ito sa kanyang kapatid at sumakay na rin sa kotse. Tuluyan nang umalis ang dalawa. Tanging naiwan para sa isa't isa ay ang dalawang dalaga. Maru looked at Andi who was now still blushing.

"Did you enjoy it?" she asked, teasing her.

"N-no. I'm sorry."

Maru walked towards her.

"Now it's just you and me, Andi."

Andi was only looking at her. She saw her kissing him torridly in front of so many people but she was here, standing as if nothing happened. She blushed again when she remembered it.

"You heard them warning me, right? Don't do anything reckless. That's bullshit. But yeah, I'll still try. I don't want your boyfriend to cut my head."

Kumunot-noo si Andi sa mga salitang binibitawan ni Maru. As she expected, Maru was too dangerous and she really couldn't handle her. Ngayon pa lang ay feeling ni Andi ay nauubusan na siya ng enerhiya.

"But then again sooner or later, we will take a risk and we will be reckless. We're not perfect."

Maru then held her shoulder and whispered to her.

"You and I will do fun things together. I'm so excited."

Lumayo muli ang dalaga at ngumiti sa kanya.

"Now shall we start tonight?"

Kumunot-noo si Andi kay Maru.

"Anong gagawin natin?"

"Come inside and you'll know."

Maru then winked at her. Andi felt like she was about to have a fever. This was going to be a long night for both of them.
