Epilogue
It has now been 15 years since the war ended. Europe is now at peace.
In the city of Potsdam Lawrence is standing in front of his father's grave with a bouquet of red and orange roses. He then gently places them down in front of his father's gravestone. Then he places his hand on the French Eagle which has lost most of it's golden color due to age.
*Lawrence in thought*
It's been 30 years since I lost you father. I now have a family of my own. I'm sure you would have enjoyed meeting your grandchildren. I named one of them after you.
15 years since the war ended. 15 years since I found out the truth and stood here with the Prussian King.
Suddenly a young boy with short dark brown hair and sky blue eyes sprints over to Lawrence. Lawrence looks down at the boy and kneels down in front of him. He then starts speaking in a calm voice.
Lawrence: What is it, Alex?
Alex: Dad why are you here?
Lawrence: I'm paying my respects to my father my dear Alex.
Alex: What was grandad like?
Lawrence: I heard he was a good man. He was also a brave man and a soldier just like I was.
Alex: Would I make a good soldier dad?
Lawrence: Alex I'm not sure if there would even be a war for you to fight in.
Alex: Oh.
Lawrence: We have been at peace for a while Alex. I don't see war happening for a while.
Suddenly a woman with long dark brown hair and emerald eyes who is wearing a light grey dress and is holding a baby in her arms walks over. Lawrence stands up and smiles at the woman. He then starts speaking in a calm voice.
Lawrence: What is it, my dear Robin?
Robin: I think it's almost time to put our little Emelie to bed Lawrence.
Lawrence: Right I understand I think we best be going. Come on Alex.
Alex: Yes dad.
They all start walking back to their carriage. When suddenly they notice a golden carriage that has stopped outside of the cemetery. This causes them all to stop when they notice a familiar man walking towards them. Lawrence smiles a little bit then he starts speaking in a slightly cheerful voice.
Lawrence: Your Majesty I wasn't expecting you here.
Frederick: Well 15 years ago I never expected to see you again after what happened to your father. So the feeling is mutual.
Lawrence: I suppose it is.
Frederick: I see that you now have a family of your own Lawrence.
Lawrence: Yes Your Majesty.
Robin smiles and starts speaking in a calm yet slightly cheerful voice.
Robin: I didn't believe you when you said that you know the King.
Lawrence: Well you believe me now don't you my dear.
Frederick: Who's this Lawrence?
Lawrence: This is my wife Robin Your Majesty.
Frederick: It's a pleasure to meet you, Robin.
Robin: Pleasure to meet you too Your Majesty.
Alex shyly walks forward and looks up at Frederick. Frederick notices Alex and smiles and he starts speaking in a cheerful voice.
Frederick: Who's this little one?
Lawrence: Thats Alex.
Frederick: You named him after your father didn't you?
Lawrence: Yes. He also wants to be a soldier one day. He's told me that a lot.
Alex: When will I be able to be one dad?
Lawrence: When you are older Alex.
Frederick: I'm sure you would make a good soldier like your father. But you need patience young one.
Alex: Yes Your Majesty.
Frederick: Remember to be brave young one.
Alex: I will.
Lawrence smiles and he continues speaking in a cheerful voice.
Lawrence: It was good to see you again Your Majesty.
Frederick: Same with you Lawrence.
Lawrence: Well it's probably best that we get back home Your Majesty.
Frederick: I hope to see you again Lawrence. Remember if you need me you know where to find me.
Lawrence: I'm sure that we will meet again. But farewell for now Your Majesty and enjoy the rest of your day.
Lawrence and the rest of his family happily walk off back to their carriage. Leaving Frederick to calmly roam the cemetery.
The End.
