Chapter 2

Brace yourselves! It's finally here! Just so you guys know this chapter will be following what happened in the video above.

            Here's a few terms for this chapter: H/c = hair color, F/c = favorite color , Y/n = your name , S f/c = second favorite color.

Oh by the way, from now on anytime there is singing the words will be bolded okay?

One more thing, Here's the final results on which dress you guys picked! The results are in and I have chose dress #3 because you guys seem to like that one the best!

You and Missi stepped into the castle. Dropping your backpack by the nearest wall, you looked around in awe at your surroundings. "Wow..." Missi had been right about one thing, this place looked like the Collinswood mansion from the Tim Burton film Dark Shadows ! Or was it the Disneyland haunted mansion(you'd only watched a sprinkling on online videos about the theme park attraction, so you had a vague idea of what it looked like)? But whatever! Either way, this place was something out of the pages of a gothic novel, complete with heavy deep violet curtains across various archways in the hall(probably leading to other areas of this vast castle), imposing looking gargoyles standing at attention by the oak door, a vaulted ceiling that seemed to go up forever, and tons of little gothic decorations offsetting the vast hallway.

It was...... a dark paradise. Gothic splendor everywhere, as far as the eye could see.....

And you immediately swore right then and there to explore every square inch of this castle before the dawn broke.

Guess Missi was right, it was completely worthwhile to have stepped into this place.....

As you were gazing around, Missi pulled out a book from her backpack and sat down near the door to start reading. You glanced over at her and saw that she had started reading Twilight yet again. Seriously? You'd offered before to lend her something, really anything new to read in place of that series of sparkly vampires and creepy werewolves that imprinted on babies, but Missi refused every time. Well, at least if your friend was enjoying herself stuck in the pages of a book instead of exploring a amazing castle, then you were fine to let her enjoy herself in her own way. Normally, you'd be right beside your best friend- with your own novel, A court of Thorns and Roses, which was one of your current favorites- the two of you going through your novels, occasionally peering over at one another's shoulders to peek at the plot of the book, occasionally making little inside jokes about your reading material......

Rolling your eyes at Missi's fixation on the book, you moved further up the hallway to take a closer look at your surroundings. After all, you were probably only going to be in an amazing gothic castle just once in your life, might as well begin exploring......

Wandering around in a state of pure bliss, you gazed around the hall, fingering the velvet curtains, running your hand across the stony hides of the gargoyles, occasionally peering behind the curtains to see where the passages lead......

Just like Missi, you were completely submerged in your own little world, blissfully unaware of the tall figure making its way through the castle, towards where the two of you were waitng unawares.......

Soon enough, you reached the end of the hall, where you gazed upwards towards a small balcony of sorts. It must have been where the owners of the castle used to greet their guests as they arrived, before they partied all night and solved dark mysteries all day.....

You smiled at that thought, bringing yourself into an imagined fantasy-land of horse-drawn carriges, floor-sweeping gowns, and gothic romances....... Yeah, you really were a hug dork when it was all said and done.......

Suddenly, a distant sound snapped you out of your thoughts. Wait, what was that? It sounded a lot like....... Your e/c eyes widened as you recognized the sound that signified you and Missi were well and truly screwed. If you were lucky, the two of you would be spending your senior year of high school in juvenile detention, if you were really unlucky and the person was a crazed old man with a shotgun..... well, you REALLY didn't want to consider the outcome of that scenario.

Footsteps. Someone clearly inhabited this castle, and somehow, someway, they'd been alerted to your presence......

Your mind swirling with thoughts of what you were going to say to whoever owned the castle on why you and your friend were clearly trespassing, you called out to Missi, your voice coming out no more than a whisper. "Missi, I don't think we're alone." But Missi barely glanced up from her book. What a time for your best friend to be entranced by

You could hear the footsteps edging closer and closer by the second, making you more terrified. Great, great. First you had trespassed, and wandered around in this place, now the owner was probably coming to give two "teenage rapscallions" a piece of their mind.....

But if you just left right away, then you wouldn't get in trouble, right? You weren't too sure about the workings of the legal system, instead preferring to read more fictional accounts than mind-numbing volumes of legal jargon...... but maybe there was something akin to your situation in one of those books?

Who really knew? All you were certain of was that you and your friend were about to be in a whole heap of trouble......

Edging towards Missi you repeated: "Missi, we have to leave, now!" Missi finally looked up from her Twilight book and then the two of you heard the footsteps stop at the landing at the end of the hall.....

Third person P.O.V time!

The lanterns in the hall suddenly flared up one by one, illuminating the two girls. How had this happened? Missi stood up from where she'd been reading her book, protectively clutching it to her chest in confusion. "Y/N, what's happening?" Unable to respond to her friend's distressed question, all y/n could do was shut her e/c eyes tight as.... a heavy wind picked up, making her squeeze her eyes shut tight as she was battered among the coming gale.....

When the gust of wind had died down, the disheveled girls opened their eyes....

The figure that greeted the two girls once they opened their eyes...... well, it was needless to say, they hadn't run into a derange hermit, or a angry home-owner in their bathrobe as they'd originally thought. No, there was something..... inhuman about this man who had appeared at the top of the stairs.

First of all, he was inhumanly tall probably towering over both girls by several feet, and inhumanly thin, and unnaturally pale, the kind of pale found on the surface of the moon, of freshly fallen snow...... He was dressed elegantly, a simple black suit offset by an ornate winged key, holding back the long cape he wore.

In his pallid hand, he clasped a cane, tipped with a silver bat's head, its ruby eyes glinting in the candle light.......

But the one thing the two girls didn't expect was for this man to start..... singing?

The day's the wife whom I elude

The one to whom I should be right

Although forewarned by peers and kin, I always get into the night!

He tipped his hat Y/N and Missi before leaping over the balcony and landing perfectly on the ground before the two of you. He smiled, showing all of his teeth......, which were extraordinarily sharp. In fact, almost..... vampiric.

Y/N and Missi stared in shock before realizing that this mysterious man was in-fact a vampire, very different from the ones they had read about in Twilight or watched in countless horror films. Those vampires were from the comforting world of fiction, sparkly pretty-boys, leather-wearing motorcycle riders, goofy puppets on daytime children's shows, and actors in velvet capes speaking in funny accents.......

To the girls shock he began to walk towards them, further terrifying Missi, and causing Y/N's eyes to grow wide as she watched him. Y/n silently screamed at her legs to move, to run towards the wide open door, to grab Missi by the arm and run like the devil himself was chasing after them, away from this lonely castle, back to their old lives in town.......

But yet, both girls remained rooted in their tracks, as the vampire stalked ever closer, the click of his heels echoing through the hall, the predatory grin plastered across his face.......

But the night, she calls me

She calls me

She calls me

She calls me

With a predatory glint to his eyes, he bent forward towards the two petrified friends, close enough to reach out and grab either one of them if he wished to do so.....

Then, with a swish of his long cape, he.... vanished. There really was no other word for it. One minute he was there, and the next..... he'd disappeared from sight entirely, with no sign of when he'd pop up again.....

Y/n could still hear his voice however, signifying that this man hadn't exactly disappeared from the room......

She sways in her velvet dress

and pulls me towards her in the dark

Where did he go? The man had seemingly vanished from view, but his rich voice echoed around the girls, seemingly coming from nowhere in particular, but yet..... it surrounded the girls in some way....

The presence of ...... something, loomed behind them, but as the girls whirled around, they were greeted with a blank space where they'd expected...... expected what exactly? Something to be there, right behind them, waiting for them?

Missi pressed finger to her chin considering something. "That's weird. I don't remember anything about teleporting vampires from Twilight....." It sounded partially like Missi was trying to convince herself of this fact more than anything......

Y/n gaped at her friend. Seriously? They could debate vampiric abilities all they wanted once they were FAR away from whatever the heck was happening right at the moment. "Come on!" Grabbing ahold of Missi's arm the two girls turned.....

Only to nearly be shocked out their skin when the vampire suddenly popped up beside them.

Missi yelped in surprise, her fingers digging into y/n's arm. She was well, and clearly piss-your-pants scared right now, and really, who could blame her?

But that bastard in the top hat didn't have to look so damn smug when he did it........

Okay, now y/n was really beginning to get pissed off with this son of a bitch. Who the hell did this guy think he was?

While the others rest

While the others rest

Missi grabbed ahold of Y/N's hand and pulled her away from the vampire, already making their way towards the wide open door, freedom singing its sweet siren call.

The door was ajar, they just needed to reach it and then....

They managed to get halfway across the room, before they were stopped in their tracks by the vampire. He'd just.... appeared before them, within the second it took one to blink an eye, and almost as instantly, Missi's book was knocked out of her hands by the vampire's cane, sailing through the air in a graceful arc before landing on the ground with a whump, pages spilling out of the binding like a

Y/n could feel Missi tense up beside her. That book was one of Missi's most prized possessions, the novel she treasured more than anything else on her already overflowing bedroom bookshelves, and now it was nothing more than a bunch of scattered pages and empty binding on the ground.......

Y/n's fist curled reflexively. God, this guy was just asking to be punched in his stupidly smug face, wasn't he? But instead, she merely settled for giving the vampire one of her signature death glares, trying to show that she wasn't so easily intimidated like Missi was. Maddeningly, this seemed to have no effect on him, the vampire just raising his eyebrows and deepening his smirk at y/n's anger......

Suddenly, Missi took off down the hall, half dragging y/n in their desperate attempt to try and reach the door in time.......

Only for it to close with a bang, trapping the girls inside before their hands even reached the brass doorknobs.

The vampire grinned. If the girls though he was going to let them go THAT easily, those dolls were short a few straws, that was for sure.......

Heed the call the time has come

Mothers come she is the night

Suddenly, strands of..... ribbon? Cloth? Whatever it was, it ensnared the girls almost instantly, wrapping tightly around their wrists. A sharp yank from the vampire brought the girls back a couple feet from where they stood, close enough so they could see the vampire's sharp teeth.....

Thankfully, the girls managed to free themselves from their bonds-but not without y/n getting a little bit of help from Missi as the bonds prevented her from running far enough-

Come with me to the other side

Unfortunately for y/n and Missi, they soon found themselves ensnared by a second set of bonds, these ones wrapping around their waists, their arms, their legs, circling their feet....... The ribbons grew tighter, ever tighter, squishing their tender organs, cutting of circulation temporarily as the girls struggled within.........

Suddenly, sweet release! Dropping to the floor and gasping for breath, the girls had all of five seconds, before they noticed something very different......

Make the girl in black your bride!

Their clothes! Gone were Missi's farmilliar outfit of sweater, jeans, and worn out sneakers, now replaced by a gown of violet and black that looked for all the world like it should belong on a Hot Topic going Disney princess rather than a shy teenaged girl of seventeen years! Her glasses had vanished entirely(thankfully Missi was only near-sighted, so she wouldn't be in too much trouble), and her hair...... oh, it was a rather fetching shade of dusky violet, the kind found in the early evening sky, in tiny wildflowers........

Missi held up her begloved hand in wonder. Was this really her? She looked so....... Different......

Y/n on the other hand, was given a significantly more regal look, her floor-length midnight black gown sweeping the floor of the castle as she kneeled there, her now f/c hair(with a few faint streaks of s/f/c running through it) done up in a series of elaborate and complex braids pinned at the nape of her neck, and a pair of....... Oh god. Were those...... Hooker boots on her feet? They were long, almost up to her knees, with a series of golden buckles winding up the sides, and almost stiletto-eque heels on the bottoms of the shoes, so maybe they were....

As someone who rotated between three different combinations of outfits on a weekly basis(jeans, sneakers, dark tops, boots, the occasional skirt), this sent y/n into a very small, feminine panic attack. T-this was impossible... she looked like.... like..... well, a actual GIRL for crying out loud! It was especially unnerving to a girl who normally only put on a dress when she absolutely was forced to, and unused to such finery............

The two friends were broken out of their trances by

Because the night she calls me

She calls me

She calls me

She calls me

He succeeded in dragging Y/N and Missi, who were struggling all the while in his grasp, closer to him, close enough so they could see the devilish glint in his ruby red eyes.....

The next thing they knew, the girls were several feet off the ground, their limbs being jerked around in some sort of bizarre parody of a waltz..... before the thin, almost translucent threads holding them in their captive dance jerked them to another position, whirling them around the room in manic circles.

The vampire smirked at the girls panic. This was more amusing than he expected, the girl's terror was delicious, almost like a heady drug to him.....

And what fun it was to tease and torment these beauties......

She sways in her velvet dress

and pulls me towards her in the dark

With that, he jerked the strings again, spinning the girls around the room once more........

While the others rest

While the others rest

Sudenly, Missi managed to break free of her translucent bonds, clawing, snapping, tearing the thin bonds that circled her limbs.....

Y/n on the other hand was more rough, bringing her arms out suddenly to snap the two silken strands around her wrists(almost hulking out of her bonds with sheer determination), and at the last possible moment, she managed to reach downwards and shred the two remaining bonds around her boots.......

Managing to wriggle free from the last few bonds, the girls clumsily dropped to the floor, nothing keeping them aloft in the air....

Thankfully unhurt from the sheer drop(which had only been less than two feet thankfully), they staggered to their feet. They only had a brief moment's repose from their terror before the vampire appeared before them

Acting quickly, the girls managed to evade the vampire's grasp, each running off in separate directions, nothing on their minds except

The vampire rolled his ruby eyes. Great. They'd decided to do the whole splitting up thing. Whoop dee fucking doo. Guess he had to go and chose one of them to go after now, which he really hadn't wanted to do in the first place.......

Grumbling under his breath, he rolled his crimson eyes. At least he'd be getting a bit more entertainment out of this, if nothing else was going to go his way tonight......

In a blind panic, Missi turned down halls, ran into dead ends, tripping and stumbling over her own feet, jumping nearly out of her own skin at the slightest of sounds as she ran blindly, anticipating that out of every shadow, every darkened space that the vampire would reappear and grab her......

Somehow, she managed to find herself completely and utterly alone for a moment, and panic easing off her chest slightly, she turned a corner, and started up the flight of stairs she discovered there, grateful for a chance to catch her breath......

If she could find another route of escape, or even a place to conceal herself for a while, then she'd be safe from the vampire.......

Thankfully, Missi managed to reach the top of the staircase with no further interference, allowing her to drop her guard for just the most brief of seconds........

Only to discover, a certain pallid gentleman blocking her route of escape, lounging around by the door as if he'd been waiting for her to arrive..... Once he'd caught her attention, he offered her a little wave, Missi merely gaping in surprise in reply. How'd he.... get there so fast? It was humanly impossible

The vampire grinned, and as Missi's eyes grew round with shock,  he flipped a lever on the nearby wall Missi hadn't spied before, causing the stairs..... vanished from beneath her, if that was the correct word for it, replaced with a sloping expanse of nothingness beneath her.

The ground giving away from underneath her, Missi

Meanwhile, Y/N entered a hallway, silently cursing herself for splitting up. How had she just left Missi there, all alone? God, she always said that she and Missi were friends to the end, that they'd never abandon each other or turn into sneering, catty bitches who's main purposes in life were to make each other miserable..... But now, she'd committed the unforgiveable...... And normally, something that horrible would have resulted in y/n bursting into heavy sobs, hiding underneath her day of the dead throw blanket in her bedroom, eating ice cream and writing some very strongly worded hate letters to herself in a fuzzy journal she kept underneath her bed.....  But most unfortunately, all of that would have to wait.

For the vampire was hot on her tail, and he was quickly gaining on her. His....shadow-like form was unnaturally quick, the ruby eyes like two beacons as he stalked ever closer to the terrified young woman.....

Y/N ran, trying desperately not to trip in her new high heeled shoes with the vampire close behind her. Unused to any footwear more complicated than sneakers, boots, or bedroom slippers, the sky-high black heels almost proved too much for the girl to maneuver in, making the young woman nearly fall flat upon her face several times. Why couldn't he had transformed her sneakers into combat boots? At least then she'd  be able to kick that skinny bastard's ass......

A tiny part of her gibbering mind screamed at her for running, for doing that one idiotic thing that those dummies in horror films always did, that she was a selfish bitch for leaving Missi behind to god knows what fate...... but y/n didn't pay that corner of her mind any attention at the moment.

Every instinct she had, every sense she'd developed from watching horror films, reading novels that involved the characters dying messily at the hands of unnatural fiends, was screaming one thing, drowning out all reason, all logical thinking:

Run.

Y/N turned a corner and peeked out from it, withdrawing back into the shadows when she saw the vampire's shadow form coming around the bend.

Thankfully, he didn't notice y/n as he continued down the hall, in pursuit of a quarry that he had no idea had escaped his grasp....

Allowed a brief moment's respite, y/n continued down the hall, boots clicking on the marble floors of the hall as she hurried for a route of escape.....

There, a door!

Nearly reaching the door, y/n reached a hand for the door's handle.....

Only for a pallid hand to latch onto her wrist. It was the vampire, and with an all too amused grin, he wagged a finger at the stupefied girl, as if chaistizing her for trying to leave so early.....

And most surprisingly, he pulled her into a manic dance, y/n as his unwilling partner.

God, she'd be able to run if the vampire wasn't gripping her arms so tightly.....

As she was whirled and spun, twirled and dipped, y/n struggled to break out of the vampire's grip, to stomp on his foot hard enough to get him to release his grip, to pull away........ but every move she made was thwarted almost as instantly, deepening the vampire's grin as they continued their devilish tango.....

It still seems very strange to me that her quiet lonely streets

Are draped in all her mystery, could be so sweet and comforting

As Y/n struggled within his grasp, she didn't notice a new player upon the scene, one who was desperately trying to not make a peep from the doorway, where she lay hidden within the shadows.......

Missi.

After somehow managing to lose her undead pursuer, she'd wandered through the castle in a state of terror, nearly jumping out of her skin at every minuscule movement in the shadows, unsure if HE would suddenly appear in her path, eyes blazing and fangs bared......

Somehow, somehow, she'd managed to evade the vampire....... But it was clear that y/n hadn't been so fortunate. The young woman looked just about ready to burst with terror, her eyes never straying far from the man that held her captive in this insane tango.......

Oh, that predatory grin, the wicked glint in his eyes, the smile that showed off his razor-sharp teeth! It was the grin of a wolf, a panther, a predatory beast who'd ensnared a helpless doe as its prey......

But the night she calls me

She calls me

She calls me

She calls me

Realizing that her best friend would be in serious trouble if she didn't do something fast, Missi's gaze suddenly dropped upon the curtains behind Y/N and the man who currently held her in his grasp. Missi wasn't strong enough to wrestle y/n out of his grasp, but she was more intelligent. Maybe if she deceived the vampire into releasing her friend..... but how on earth would she do that? Gazing around for something, anything to help her panicked mind to form an idea, her brown eyes fell upon a shaft of light emitting from a tiny space between the velvet curtains in the room, the only source of natural light in the castle.......

How many hours had passed since they'd entered this castle? It hadn't seemed like a lot of time had passed, but clearly, it had been at least several hours since they'd stepped through the oaken doors......

Slowly, she gazed back towards her terrified friend, then the predatory grin of the vampire, then something caught her attention near the end of the hall, nearly making her gasp aloud.

A light clicked somewhere within Missi's brain. It was risky, but if she could save her friend, then it would be all worth it...... And besides,

Missi emerged from her hiding place and danced towards Y/N and the vampire. He released his death grip on Y/N's wrist, suddenly confused on why this girl was showing so much interest in him.

She sways in her velvet dress, and pulls me towards her in the dark

Missi spun down the hallway, a coquettish smile upon her face, the hints of lust echoing through her brown eyes. She beckoned to the vampire, insisting that he come to her, and her alone.

"Take me. I'm yours completely. Do with me what you will. Ravish me...." Missi didn't even have to utter a solitary word, but the meaning of her gestures, the look in her eyes,

She'd done a complete one-eighty in the time y/n had last seen her, and something, something about her friend's new behavior struck y/n as a little....off.

Missi didn't act like this. Missi NEVER acted like this, not in all of their years of friendship. Y/n knew Missi, and she knew that Missi dissolved into a blushing puddle of shyness and awkward staring even when a boy she fancied offered more than three syllables her way, not, not......

If this was a cartoon, y/n expected that the vampire's jaw would have long since hit the floor by now, for the expression of pure surprise was such that upon his features.

Much to y/n's horror, he grinned, a grin that suggested that of a wolf, a wolf who'd just seen a poor defenseless lamb meander by his cave, a wolf that was all of a few moments away from devouring the poor helpless thing.........

No... No... No....

At least he'd released her from his iron-like grip, neatly shoving her aside as he strode towards her dewy-eyed friend.......

While the others rest

While the others rest

Y/n had to do something, anything, to rescue her friend..... but what? She was just a unextraordinary, human teenager, while he was an immortal creature of the night, with unlimited power at his disposal......She would be no match for this vampire if she just rushed up there and tackled him to the floor, the cane he possessed, strapped to his side would ensure it'd be over now and forever for both girls......

She'd have to use her wits then, like the heroines of old. If she managed to outwit the vampire, then she and her friend would be home free......

A glint of silver on a nearby caught her attention. A fancy candlestick! No, wait. There was another name for those things, what was it now.... Oh yeah, a candelabra. But never mind that, y/n had a weapon now, and most importantly, she had a plan. If she could knock out the vampire, she could grab Missi, and the two of them could run, far away from this nightmare, and never look back.....

Boldened, she grabbed the silver instrument, and striding forward-making sure that the sound of her heels on the ground wouldn't alert the vampire to her presence- she slowly but surely began making her way towards the end of the hall.....

Thankfully, the vampire was rather preoccupied at the moment with....... Undressing her friend, from what y/n could see. His pallid hand gently brushed up the side of Missi's stockinged leg, his head was bent towards her neck suggesting..... either kissing or biting, y/n wasn't sure. But she hoped to god that it was at least the first option.......... Otherwise..... No, she wouldn't even allow herself to even ponder that! Y/n was on a mission......

But still, she couldn't help but feel a shiver of disgust run down the length of her spine as she took in the whole sorid scene, made all the more apparent as she neared, ever closer.......

Geez, what a creep. At least he'd be a knocked-out creep, if that was any consolation.

Eyes narrowing, y/n raised her weapon high.......

After that, everything happened almost too quick for y/n to comprehend. It almost seemed like something that was happening to somebody else, a character in a film perhaps, or part of a plot in a television series, not something that was occurring naturally in her own, very real existence......

The curtains flew open in quick succession, one after the other, daylight streaming into the formerly dim hall, y/n pausing for the briefest of moments to gaze around at what was happening......

Suddenly, Missi raised the vampire's cane, and with an audible smack, struck the vampire right in the face, a hefty welt appearing from the force of the blow. A bit of blood flew out from the welt, landing on the side of y/n's face, briefly snapping her out of her self-induced trance.

Nearly flying backwards from the suddenness of Missi's blow, he crashed into y/n sending her crashing to the ground, the candelabra skidding out of her hand.....

Knocked to the ground, y/n managed to struggle to her knees..... only to witness what would become a main staple in her nightmares for the next year.

His skin seemed to... crisp, like a piece of meat upon a barbeque, a single dime sized spot almost instantly spreading, growing, the pale flesh crackling and burning........ Oh, what a painful way to die!

Horrified, y/n wanted to look away from the scene, to shut her eyes against the scene that was unfolding in front of her, to do anything to drown out what she was currently watching...... She was watching somebody die, something no normal person should ever witness....

But instead she watched mutely, every horrible second of the vampire's final moments as his skin crumbled to ash, as steam floated of his crumbling body.......

Finally, finally, it was over, the vampire fully reduced to nothing but a pile of vaguely smoking ashes and clothes, an incredibly stunned y/n, and Missi who was unusually silent throughout the whole sorid scene, and not unchanged either........

Y/N's P.O.V:

Gazing at the smouldering pile of ashes, you waited for yourself to scream, to cry, to break down into a gibbering ball of madness at everything, all those events that seemed like something out of a horror story.......

But somehow, despite all that had happened to you over the course of those hours, you remained achingly numb inside. Had it really happened? It'd happened so fast, the air getting knocked out of your lungs as you hit the floor, the acrid stench of the vampire's sizzling flesh, the dampness of the blood that had splashed into your face after Missi had struck him.......

Or the fact that you'd basically watched someone die, right before your very eyes,

Absentmindedly, you pushed a strand of f/c hair out of your face, still in a daze over what had just happened...... And feeling the sudden stickiness of the blood on your skin, you were struck with a sense of revulsion. Yuck....... this stuff was everywhere, coating your cheeks, hardening on the tip of your nose, and wait.... ugghhhh.... you'd got some of that disgusting stuff in your eye, you could feel it. At least it wasn't any more annoying than finding a loose eyelash in your eye, it was more as if you'd looked up too suddenly when you took a shower in the winter, with the steam of the hot shower around you, and mistakenly gotten a teeny drop of shampoo right in your eyeball. It stung a teeny bit, but overall, it wasn't overly painful.....

Well, once you and Missi left all this terror behind you, you'd have to scour yourself thoroughly, to get the memories of this night off of your skin.

First you'd bathe in bleach, to scrub the foulness of that man's touch off your tender skin. Then you'd have to figure out how to dye your now f/c hair back to its original shade of h/c, and burn all of your vampire novels, your films with smarmy vamps in leather jackets.....

At least your temporary discomfort had managed to bring your attention away from the fact that there was a heap of ash and empty clothing not even a foot away from you, and that you'd just endured an evening beyond anything you'd ever imagined.......

Heh, sizzling.... he'd sizzled up like a smartly dressed sausage...... If you weren't probably nearly catatonic with horror, you'd have probably laughed at that.....

Briefly snapping out of your shock, you remembered someone.

Missi. Was she alright? Was she in shock, catatonic with fright, or just passed out from the complete and utter terror? Whatever had happened to her, you needed to reassure her, most of all yourself, that it was over, that you'd be okay....

"M-missi? Are you......" You turned your attention towards your friend. As our line of sight fell upon where Missi stood, you stopped cold. Missi had stood up off of the pedestal she'd been on, now mutely standing as still as a Grecian statue. She regarded you with blank, expressionless eyes, her face a mask of indifference, the silver-tipped cane clutched firmly in one hand......

For all reasons unknown to you, Missi seemed..... rather calm, not immediately blubbering or panting in fear, no. There was a sort of chilly air around your friend, as if she'd been watching the events that had just transpired through a television screen, and hadn't been affected by them because they didn't concern her in the slightest.......

Too calm in fact. She regarded you with emotionless eyes for a moment and then she smiled. Showing off all of her fangs as she did so.

It took you all of five seconds to comprehend just what exactly, had happened to Missi. But then again, there was no mistaking the alabaster skin, the pointed ears, the ruby eyes......

Your eyes widened as you realized your best friend had become a-a ..... but that was impossible, the only way that you'd known for people to become vampires was by being bitten by one(and that usually took hours, not mere moments for them to become fully undead), or in other media that you'd read(mainly obscurer books and some modern comics), you just needed to get a single drop of the vampire's blood (dried or fresh) inside you to kick start the process....

But that was completely unlikely, after all, where in heaven's name would you even get.....

Oh........ you gazed down at your hands, the slowly mounting horror washing over you like a wave as you realized something. You'd committed a very serious "Horror No-no"....... And this time, there'd be no hero with a "boom stick" and chainsaw hand, no conveniently placed cure, no escape from what you would soon become.....

"Oh Y/N." Missi replied, smiling evilly, "I've never felt better!"

And in that moment, your life as you knew it ended, and your eternity began......

Missi's P.O.V(taking place inside her head, basically, regular type is Missi, Bolded is the mysterious voice that's yet to be named):

Wait, what's going on..... What..... Wait, why am I.... Oh god..... I only wanted to knock him off of me, I didn't know he'd........ he'd...... Oh god.....

Why are you so upset dearie? You've done rather splendidly, I have to say. And I must say, I'm quite impressed with how you were handling yourself back there...... and

How do you call this an improvement? I'm a... vampire!

Yes, you're a vampire dearie, but please try and control yourself. Worrying always spoils a lady's face, and believe me, I know that from experience.

Y-yeah, that's obvious! But who the heck are you? Are you..... a demon? Is that why you're talking to me in my mind? Ohh god....... I'm possessed aren't I.....

Calm down, darling! You aren't possessed.... well not in the traditional sense, mind you. Think of me as more of a guide of sorts, a helpful force to set you on the right path! You could be so much more than who you are, my darling, and with the right..... nudge from me, you could be

Y-you'd help me? But why.....

Let's just say that I understand a little too well what you've went through......

You mean that man chased you through his castle too? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised and all....

Heh. No, although Duke is rather...... pushy when it comes to the matters of love..... But enough of that! After all, the night is young, and we've got so much to do.....

A/N: Holy Rabies! *looks at chapter and sees how many words I've written* Well Beasties, how did you like the first chapter of my story? I've finally gotten this shit done! Comment on what you think of this chapter. Please be nice, because its my first time writing a fanfiction after all. But author-chan, you ask, who is this mysterious voice that's communicating with Missi? Patience! All will be revealed soon enough! Lets just say that the voice belongs to -how do I put this- an even worse bad guy than Duke. One of my original Oc's in fact! But all will be revealed later, because your dear author has to rest for a while after writing so much. So see you soon, my beasties! Remember! Reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, bye!

Also, just to clear up some stuff for any of you confused beasties out there: It was probably a bit confusing how I decided to turn you, the reader into a vampire, and frankly, I don't blame you for being confused. I mean, other than biting, there isn't a heck of a lot of ways to be turned into a vampire.......

That's why I took a page out of the American Vampire comic series(an awesome graphic novel, totally worth a read), and referenced a scene where a character turned into a vampire by the way of some vampire blood entering their eye..... It seemed believable, so I decided to use it. Hopefully I didn't confuse you beasties too much!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this little chapter, and I'll be seeing you real soon.....

Bonus note: In case you're wondering why this seems a little different if you're re-reading  this it's because I've decided to do some VERY extensive editing to this little story. Mainly because my writing wasn't the level it is by now...... Anyway, hope you liked!
