5 - Run To You
(Proof reading while listening this song was hard for me so idk if I corrected the mistakes lmaoo)
--
"What does he think of himself huh? Accepting a mistake is that hard for him? Why can't he simply confess that he did it all? Why is he playing such games? All of us could have a better future but he decided to ruin it. Then go on. I don't give two flying fucks." Jeonghan kept mumbling while walking back to his mansion through the forest.
It was when he felt a pair of hands wrap around his waist and the next second he was in the sky, being held by the most hated person, Choi Seungcheol.
"What the fuck do you want Seungcheol?!" Jeonghan yelled on top of his lungs.
Soon enough they landed at the far end of the forest beneath a beautiful shade made by the trees - nature's beauty.
"You." Seungcheol whispered while pinning the younger one against the wood, "I want you but you're way too stubborn."
"Shut up already." Jeonghan rolled his eyes, "Are you on a mission to hurt me again?"
"That's what you do not understand." Seungcheol looked away for a brief second before focusing back, "I can never hurt you Yoon Jeonghan."
"That's what we've been doing for years." Jeonghan chuckled bitterly, "Hurting each other."
"At least you know that your actions do hurt me." Seungcheol retorted the humourless grin.
"Stop fucking playing with words." Jeonghan pushed the older away and began to leave.
Seungcheol grasped his arm again but Jeonghan was quick to summon a small blade and scratch his hand.
The scar on Seungcheol's palm healed immediately but the way he felt because of Jeonghan's choice to do so didn't heal at all.
"Don't. Touch. Me." Jeonghan warned, "I'm so tired of you. First you snatched away my everything, my self confidence, my pride, EVERYTHING. When I returned, you were ready to risk it all if it makes me feel hurt. And now you suddenly care? If it is true, then why didn't you try to find me when I was gone? Decades have been passed after that incident and you still don't know how the fuck I survived when I was not here."
"Would you tell me if I ask?" Seungcheol massaged his forehead, "When you came back, I tried to apologise to you for something that wasn't my fault. You pushed me away. What was I supposed to do?"
"Yes sir, you were right all the time." Jeonghan's voice dripped with sarcasm, "Spare me then? Why do you want to talk to such a pitiful culprit huh?"
"I'm so done with you."
"So am I." Jeonghan began to stomp out once again but he felt a sword resting against his neck.
He turned around to lock eyes with the blood red orbs of the enemy vampire.
Jeonghan scoffed. He recited a spell to summon his own sword within a few milliseconds.
Their weapons clashed against each other. After a few attacks, dodges, punches and kicks, both of them found themselves standing at a considerable distance.
Jeonghan initiated a run while aiming his sword directly against Seungcheol. And at the last moment, the older did the unexpected. He dropped his sword and surrendered while shutting his eyes just a second before the former's attack.
-
"You should take care of your health Seungcheol." Jeonghan caressed the older's forehead who was lying on the bed, snuggled within blankets.
Seungcheol sneezed before scoffing, "I know."
"I'll cook something, try to sleep until then." Jeonghan began to leave.
"Wait." Seungcheol held his hand, "Don't go. Just stay by my side."
"Of course I'm here." Jeonghan grinned, "But you need to eat too. Wait for a while, I'll be back and then we'll eat together."
Seungcheol nodded as his eyes threatened to shut. Jeonghan walked out of the room into the hall where Joshua and Wonwoo were waiting.
"How's he now?" Wonwoo asked.
"Not any better." Jeonghan sighed, "I'm going to cook."
"I'll help you." Joshua volunteered.
"I'll check on him in the meantime." Wonwoo left.
When the food was almost done Jeonghan received a call from his father.
"Where are you?" Mr. Yoon's authoritative voice echoed.
"I- I'm at Hoshi's place." Jeonghan lied.
"Bingo!" Mr. Yoon growled, "I'm at Hoshi's place too. He said you were at his place when I called him so I thought to pay a visit. But I can't see you."
"Uh actually, dad, I was out to buy some snacks-" Jeonghan lied again but was cut off by a terrifying yell, "You're at Seungcheol's place right?! COME HOME RIGHT NOW."
Jeonghan flinched and immediately hung up the call. Joshua had heard everything so he patted his back to console him.
"I'll have to leave." Jeonghan hurried, "Don't tell Seungcheol about what happened. Make up some lies, I'll try to sneak out tonight to see him again."
"Take care, please!" Joshua nodded. He carried the food to Seungcheol's room and settled it for the three of them.
"Where's Jeonghan hyung?" Wonwoo questioned.
"He had some urgent work." Joshua lied, "Hoshi was in trouble as his mom caught him while skipping art classes for dancing classes. So Jeonghan went to help him."
"His dad found out right?" Seungcheol grinned weekly, "Don't lie."
Joshua looked down. His silence made it pretty obvious.
"He's in trouble again." Seungcheol got up, "I need to go."
"No hyung." Wonwoo stopped him, "You need to rest."
"Exactly." Joshua paused, "If Jeonghan finds out that you acted recklessly, he'll be really mad. Don't worry, he'll come to see you at night."
"Why does he risk himself everyday for me?" Seungcheol mumbled while blaming himself. Now, his mind was clouded with the younger's thoughts.
Meanwhile, Jeonghan rushed to his home where his father was waiting while his mom and Hoshi tried to calm him.
"Took you long enough." Mr. Yoon mocked as Jeonghan stepped into the hall.
"Dad, first of all it's not Hoshi's fault. He lied because I asked him to." Jeonghan confessed instantly.
"I know." Mr. Yoon chuckled, "Only my kid is the one who's useless. Others are doing very well."
Jeonghan tightened his fist as he tried to control his emotions.
"Why were you at his place when I clearly asked you not to see him?" Mr. Yoon rebuked his son.
"Dad, he is sick." Jeonghan reasoned, "Plus he's my best friend. I will surely see him and you-" Before Jeonghan could complete his sentence, a tight slap landed on his right cheek.
And the series of slaps didn't stop until Mr. Yoon released all of his frustration and Jeonghan was lying on the floor. He didn't react, just looked down.
"You're such a useless kid. Why? Just why?" Mr. Yoon yelled, ignoring his wife's and Hoshi's pleas to stop, "Why can't you obey your father? Why don't you just die if you are going to hurt my pride every fucking day?"
"Anyways." Mr. Yoon's voice lowered as he dragged Jeonghan to his room, "If you want me to be forceful then it's alright."
Mr. Yoon slammed the door shut and locked it. Jeonghan, on the other hand, was worried about Seungcheol's health.
When night arrived, he used his spells to escape the room but to his misfortune, Mr. Yoon stomped into the room. And that's how that night was transformed into a nightmare.
--
Jeonghan stomped into the mansion and walked straight into his room, knocking off everything that came on his way. His eyes were blazing in a deep red shade and all he had was rage on his face. No one dared to stop him. They knew he was almost possessed by anger and it was better to confront him later.
Joshua and Hoshi snapped their heads in sync towards Mingyu who just stared at them in confusion.
"You both went together right?" Joshua cocked a brow.
"I know, I told you already that Jeonghan hyung left after our encounter with them." Mingyu explained, "I waited for the photographs and returned after collecting them."
"Did Seungcheol go behind Jeonghan hyung?" Hoshi stepped forward.
"Not exactly behind him but yeah, he had left as well after Jeonghan hyung did." Mingyu replied.
"Knew it." Hoshi yelled, "He definitely did something."
"Hoshi calm down." Joshua patted his shoulder, "Don't jump into conclusions without knowing anything."
"But hyung, I think he's right." Mingyu intervened, "I think it's pretty obvious that something happened between them."
"See." Hoshi looked at Joshua, "Let's teach them a lesson."
"Someone please turn his switch off." Joshua held Hoshi in place, "Why are you so aggressive huh? And Mingyu, don't fuel him."
"I know, I just said that I think the same." Mingyu turned to Hoshi, "But we should talk to Jeonghan hyung before doing something stupid."
"Let's wait for a couple of hours." Joshua declared and the other two agreed.
Meanwhile, Jeonghan shut all the doors, windows and curtains of his room. It was pitch black amidst the four walls as he proceeded to destroy anything and everything he laid his hands on.
"Why am I so weak?!" Jeonghan screamed, "WHY?!"
Several sharp objects continued to pierce his arms as he turned the room upside down but he didn't care, "This stupid heart." He cried, "Why can it not just stay back?"
He was vulnerable. No one would believe that he was the Yoon Jeonghan they used to see regularly. The miserable side of him was coming out as he gradually dropped to the ground, "Why did I stop? What was that overwhelming feeling? No! NO! I CAN'T BE FUCKING LOVING HIM. I don't. I hate him. I HATE HIM. I'm not weak, I'm not."
-----
Jeonghan initiated a run while aiming his sword directly against Seungcheol. And at the last moment, the older did the unexpected. He dropped his sword and surrendered while shutting his eyes just a second before the former's attack.
But right before slamming the sword against Seungcheol's neck, he stopped. The sharp blade was almost touching the older's skin but Jeonghan couldn't bring himself to pierce it any further.
Seungcheol opened his eyes right against Jeonghan's, "What happened? Go on!"
Jeonghan inhaled a deep breath. He masked his emotions with his signature devilish grin, "You think I'll kill you that easily? That's no fun."
"Then do whatever you want to." Seungcheol raised his hands, "I'm here."
"Fight me." Jeonghan glared, "Stop with this giving up shit."
"If you don't use this chance, trust me, I'll become your toughest enemy." Seungcheol stood up.
"I'm not scared of you." Jeonghan shrugged, his sword disappeared, "Fights are always more interesting for me."
"Stop it already." Seungcheol laughed, "For how long are you going to play tough huh? Just accept it, you can't bring yourself to kill me."
"I definitely can, once you fight me." Jeonghan fixed his coat, "Simple and fair."
"Don't lie to yourself Jeonghan." Seungcheol chuckled, "You're weak, I'm your weakness. You won't kill me, never."
"That's your delusion." Jeonghan growled, "Killing you will be the most ecstatic feeling for me."
"Convince yourself all you want-"
"Shut your bullshit." Jeonghan grabbed Seungcheol by his collar, "Just wait for the day I snap your neck."
"I'll gladly wait for my end if it's through you." Seungcheol stared at Jeonghan's ruby eyes, "Eyes don't lie Jeonghan, and yours definitely can't."
"Shut up."
"Why? Are my words being a threat to your denial?" Seungcheol inched dangerously close to Jeonghan but the younger didn't even flinch.
"I hate you." The younger pushed him and began to leave before Seungcheol stated, "Instead of fighting for those humans and losing them all, let's organise a meeting and come to a mutual pact."
"Finally some sensible words." Jeonghan mocked, "Fine for me."
Of course he agreed easily. He very well knew that if those humans would come to know about their reality, it would become hard to convince them. And with the two stylths fighting continuously, it was nearly impossible to keep their identities hidden.
"I'll send a letter about the meeting." Seungcheol stated after which Jeonghan left.
--
Seungcheol grazed his hands through his locks as he recalled the previous incidents with Jeonghan. What was he even thinking? Unlike Jeonghan, Seungcheol knew the fact that he was definitely weak for the younger.
When the time would come, he wouldn't be able to actually harm Jeonghan or any one among the Serenity Stylth. The differences, the hatred, everything was just tiresome.
"When will I be able to prove myself innocent?" Seungcheol scoffed, "Who framed me as the culprit and why?"
"You're still not over it?" Woozi walked into Seungcheol's room.
"You're talking as if you are." Seungcheol chuckled bitterly.
"I wish I could move on." Woozi scoffed.
"Of course." Seungcheol looked at the younger, "Afterall you're far more fucked up than me."
"I hate the accuracy." Woozi fiddled his fingers, "Even if you guys and all of us get along someday, Hoshi would still hate me."
"Get along?" Seungcheol made fun of his own situation, "I almost died today. I'm far from getting along with him. Let's just drop this for now. It is what it is."
"Our current focus is to increase the strength of Rose Quartz." Woozi nodded, "Even if that demands us to stand against them."
"Are the preparations for the meeting with the Serenity Stylth done?" Seungcheol cocked a brow.
Woozi smirked, "Perfectly."

A/n : Finally, the main ship was here with their 'beautiful' relationship.
And I'm here again to ask for feedbacks lmaooo.
TMI : Ik I'm posting it late but I wrote this the day Seventeen performed at unesco. They're literally way too good. I won't even start on how much they contributed to the people who needed support through the funds raised by their tours, designs, etc.
Plus the performance? Who can be that chaotic at unesco other than these men 😂 Hoshi never leaving his tiger agenda, Mingyu trying slick back, them hyping the crowd as if they're holding a concert at UNESCO?!! I thought they would start doing aju nice atp lmaoo. It was fun.
Anyways, take good care!!
