"You guys are here!" Seokmin stood up as Mingyu, Hoshi and Joshua stepped into the hall of Serenity HQ. Wonwoo and Woozi were sitting on either side of the mortals who just stared blankly at the floor.

Mingyu looked at Wonwoo as he subtly asked him about the humans through his eyes. Wonwoo gestured back that they were silent since they came back.

Woozi gently nudged Seungkwan who flinched visibly, "Calm down." He caressed the younger's arms.

"Jeonghan and Seungcheol hyung?" Wonwoo asked.

"Jeonghan wanted to stay alone for a while." Joshua replied, "And Seungcheol didn't want to leave him alone."

"They'll be here in a while." Hoshi added, "Don't worry."

The vampires looked at the mortals in concern. Of course they were traumatized by whatever they had just witnessed.

"Do you want to know about us?" Joshua asked the humans.

Their eyes shot up but they were still unable to speak. They were curious enough to hear about their story.

"Words?" Joshua crossed his hands.

"We want to." Jun managed to speak.

"But hyung, will Jeonghan and Seungcheol hyung be okay with that?" Woozi hesitantly asked.

"Why not?" Joshua mumbled as he faced the humans, "Our journey started around 2500 years ago. Honestly, even we ourselves can't recall a lot of happenings in our lives, it's not practically possible. But still, we do remember the major incidents."

With that, the vampires told the humans everything about their lives. Their childhood, their chaotic teenage life and how after a point of time they stopped growing physically.

And then came the disaster. How there was a rift caused between the huge friend circle. How they fought everyday because of a misunderstanding. And how everything got settled just 2-3 days ago when the mortals got possessed by the demons.

"So that's why you guys used to argue and cover it up in front of us?" Minghao looked up.

"Yes." Wonwoo nodded, "But it's all clear now. There are no grudges anymore."

"Guys!" Hoshi cleared his throat, "We know we're not in your good books and we don't deserve it either. Yes, we are still a threat to humanity but believe us, we will never be able to harm you all. You are precious to us."

"In your world, whoever is born, has to die. It's their fate." Seokmin carried on, "We just take advantage of that. We don't play with anyone's destiny and force death over them."

"It's like a cycle, interconnected." Woozi added, "We have already accepted that yes, in the beginning we were planning to sacrifice you. Because whoever crosses that forest of the elves is bound to become our prey. And if not ours, then the demons' prey."

"But now we've vowed to protect you." Mingyu intervened, "Trust us, we'll never let a single threat reach you."

"Your hearts are much better than ours." Joshua gently stated, "You can easily understand our actual intentions."

It was when the leaders of both the stylths walked in as all other vampires stood up. They noticed the sour expressions of the humans and proceeded to walk closer.

"Why are you all crowding them?" Jeonghan spoke up, "Let them rest."

"Jeonghan, actually-" Joshua looked at his fellow vampires and then back at the leaders, "I told them everything."

"We." Wonwoo interjected, "WE told them everything."

"Everything?" Seungcheol cocked a brow.

"About our past and present." Hoshi explained, "Our growing up and all of our misunderstandings."

Jeonghan and Seungcheol stared at them for a moment and then just nodded, "It's alright."

"Now let them have some rest." Seungcheol ordered, "Shield them although there is no threat inside the HQ but still. And then give them some privacy."

"Don't worry much, I know you don't trust us but as you've already heard, a bigger problem is waiting for us." Jeonghan referred to Jaebyeom, "Once it clears up, we'll let you go back."

The vampires began to leave after the last statements. They were still dejected as they had failed to convince the humans about their innocence but they were mature enough to accept and respect their decision.

"Hyung." Dino mumbled slowly as he stood up and rushed to embrace Jeonghan and Seungcheol together.

The vampires stood stunned while the mortals stared at them faintly.

"Don't go." Dino sniffled, "I'm scared."

Jeonghan's eyes teared up as Seungcheol consoled both Dino and Jeonghan, "It's okay Dino, we're here."

"Does that mean-?" Mingyu looked at the scenario back and forth.

"Yeah." Jun nodded, "We're willing to trust you."

"We don't know if our decision is right or wrong." Vernon stated, "But we'll go with our intuitions."

"We won't let you down." Joshua chuckled, "Promise."

With that being said, all 13 of them, shared a warm hug as they proceeded to cry out the heaviness on their hearts. They had gone through a lot in the past days but they successfully endured it all.

It was a new experience for both of them. The mortals had never befriended vampires, of course, while the vampires had never been soft for mortals.

But this time, it was different, for both sides.

"Okay now you guys, go and get some rest." Jeonghan turned towards the mortals, "We'll shift your stuff from the apartment to the HQ and be ready for a surprise tomorrow evening."

"Surprise?" Seungkwan's brows lifted up.

"Yeah you'll know tomorrow." Seungcheol denied any spoilers.

After a successful reconciliation, the vampires escorted the mortals to their new rooms in the Serenity HQ and themselves moved on to get some sleep as well.

"Woah what is this?" Dino gasped as soon as he and his teammates stepped into the lawn of the HQ. It was still evening but it was getting dark. The twinkling stars were visible and the artificial lights enhanced their beauty.

The tables for food, snacks and drinks were organised neatly while a huge karaoke machine and several games stood proudly in a visible corner. The slight touch of the Scarlet Coast was cherry on the cake. It was just majestic.

It was when the vampires walked in while talking to each other. They were quick to acknowledge the presence of the mortals.

"You guys are already here?" Hoshi asked as all of them moved towards the humans.

"This is so beautiful." Vernon mumbled, "When did you manage to do it all?"

"Not a big deal for us." Seungcheol chuckled as he snapped his fingers to which various flower petals began to shower over them for a while.

"But you know, the feelings and intentions behind it are a huge deal." Jeonghan stated.

"Anyways, before we start enjoying it, we have a gift for you." Wonwoo declared.

"What gift?" Seungkwan raised his brows.

"You know, before the tragedy happened between us, we all used to wear friendship rings." Joshua displayed his pinky finger.

"We still have those rings but we made a new decision." Seokmin continued.

"Instead of eight, we made thirteen rings this time." Woozi clapped his hands to which a tray appeared on the table which was covered with a red silk cloth.

"We want you to join our ring club and treasure our friendship forever." Mingyu displayed his charming smile.

"We know you'll have to go back but we'll find our way to meet you often." Seungcheol sternly promised.

"And these rings will keep reminding you of us and our bond." Jeonghan unfolded the cloth , showcasing thirteen open boxes which contained a diamond ring each.

"This is-" Minghao held his chest gently, "This is so overwhelming and touching."

"We came here to unfold the mysteries of Scarlet Coast but we never knew we'll make vampire friends here." Jun gasped in disbelief, "And that too, this good?"

"About the research." Hoshi cleared his throat, "We still need to talk over that but let's just keep it for later."

After a heartfelt ring ceremony, they took their time to share warm words with each other followed by a group hug. It was probably the best moment of all time for them.

"So are we going to eat first or play first?" Seungkwan clapped his hands.

"I'm hungry, let's eat first." Seokmin demanded.

"No that karaoke machine is too tempting." Dino whined.

"Wait guys hear me out." Jeonghan gained everyone's attention, "The food and drinks are open. The games are open too, just do whatever you want okay?"

"Better." Jun remarked.

With that being said, everyone got involved in whatever they wanted to. Some began to pour drinks for themselves, some instantly picked their favourite games while the remaining jumped onto the food court.

The vibes were clearly very enthusiastic. After a long time of fighting, crying, longing and separation, the vampires finally had a break and the humans just made it a hundred times better.

Jeonghan and Seungcheol sat on a round table while sipping their drinks with some snacks. They just admired their younger ones with starry eyes. It was like a dream come true.

"They're all so adorable." Seungcheol mumbled, "They're my everything."

"Right?" Jeonghan chuckled, "This is the best gift fate could ever give me."

It was when Vernon got down on his knees and asked Seungkwan to dance with him when Eyes Off You by Prettymuch began to play. Everyone around them cheered them as the two oldest ones encouraged the couple too.

Seungkwan felt a bit shy but eventually gave in. Vernon held his arm and waist and escorted him gently to the center as they moved on the beats of the music.

"Why do you get so embarrassed with me?" Vernon grinned as he noticed Seungkwan's red face.

"It's nothing, I just feel, you know, a bit giddy." Seungkwan slapped his shoulder gently, "Don't laugh."

"Thanks for being with me." Vernon admired the former as he swirled him around.

"Then thanks to you too!" Seungkwan retorted.

"Yah, let's go, we'll dance too." Mingyu dragged Wonwoo as he slid his hands around his waist.

"You're unbelievable." Wonwoo laughed.

"No." Mingyu nodded as he pulled him closer, "I'm just grateful, to have you."

"And I'm sorry for not being with you when you needed me the most." Wonwoo mumbled.

Mingyu lifted the older's chin, "Forget it okay? You were always there for me."

"Are you going to keep sitting like that?" Minghao looked at Jun who was slurping his noodles.

"Pardon?" Jun turned towards the younger.

"Nothing." Minghao just rolled his eyes as he sipped on his wine.

"Okay I'm sorry, my mistake." Jun knelt down in front of the younger, "Would you like to dance with me?"

"Yes!!" Minghao chuckled as he and Jun reached the center where the other two couples were already grooving.

"You look gorgeous." Jun complemented his partner, "Especially when you're up close to me."

"You always say that." Minghao grinned, "It's because I like when I'm with you."

"Seokmin!! Where were you?" Joshua restlessly walked towards the younger and dragged him back to the lawn.

"I went to the washroom, what happened?" Seokmin looked at the scenario, "Woah- they're all dancing together."

"Yes that's why I was looking for you." Joshua held the younger's hand gently, "Let's go. We must enjoy ourselves too."

"Calm down hyung." Seokmin giggled as he willingly followed the older. Joshua was quick to pull the younger closer as he placed his arm against his back.

"I missed you so much." Joshua rested his forehead against the younger's.

"I missed you too hyung." Seokmin chuckled, "But now everything is fine, exactly what we anticipated."

"C'mon, let's go." Seungcheol hurriedly stood up after finishing his drink.

"Where?" Jeonghan looked up at the older in confusion.

"To dance, where else?" Seungcheol was getting restless.

Jeonghan laughed hysterically, "Stop it Cheol, let them enjoy."

"Why?" Seungcheol whined but then stooped down closer to the younger, "Are you afraid that you won't be able to control yourself while dancing with me?"

"Control what?" Jeonghan continued to laugh, "It's you who gets swayed every time."

"Challenge?" Seungcheol offered his hand.

"Accepted." Jeonghan proudly stood up while intertwining his hand with the older's.

Both of them grabbed an empty spot within the couples dancing smoothly in the middle of the lawn. Seungcheol slid his arm against the younger's waist as Jeonghan rested his arm around the older's shoulder. Their spare hands remained intertwined with each other as they moved steadily to the music.

After dancing for a while, Jeonghan felt a bit embarrassed as he slapped the older's chest gently, "You're literally unbelievable."

Seungcheol held the younger's palm against his heart as he stared at Jeonghan with intense admiration, "You're so mesmerizing."

"Now who is slipping Mr. Choi?" Jeonghan teased as he traced his hand against the older's jawline.

"As if you're not." Seungcheol raised a brow.

"I'm clearly not." Jeonghan sternly stated.

"Really?" Seungcheol pulled the younger even closer as they could feel each other's breath against their faces, "Now that I can listen to your heartbeat clearly, it's racing like crazy, for me."

"Whatever." Jeonghan chuckled as he stared back at the older.

Seungcheol swirled him around only to engulf his ethereal frame from the back as his hands were wrapped around his waist and his face rested on the younger's neck. They continued to move on to the beats of the music, "Now?"

"Cheol-" Jeonghan smiled as he closed his eyes, feeling the shivers through his body, "I won't lose okay?" He completely lied.

Seungcheol turned him around once again as they faced each other. His eyes looked intoxicated as he didn't realise when he began to lean closer to the younger's lips.

Jeonghan gently slapped Seungcheol's cheeks and giggled, "Not here!! Now tell me, who won?"

"How can I win against you?" Seungcheol squinted his brows with a small grin, "I get swayed away even if you do nothing. That's unfair."

"Work on your self control." Jeonghan whispered against the older's ears, teasing him intentionally.

"You very well know how much I'm controlling myself right now." Seungcheol stared at the younger in disbelief.

"I guess we're the single's squad." Dino sat beside Woozi as he dragged Hoshi along with him, "So let's enjoy it together."

Hoshi and Woozi sat on either side of the younger as all of them sipped their drinks and devoured the food.

"WOOZI!" Hoshi screamed as he gave up on holding his spell and slammed a thunder of treacherous cloud against Kihyun who had hurt Woozi.

"Hoshi! Just go there! I can protect myself." Woozi worriedly stated, "You're needed there."

"Let me snap that bastard's neck first." Hoshi grabbed Kihyun's neck as an aura of fire developed around them, "How dare you huh? HOW FUCKING DARE YOU?!"

Kihyun struggled within Hoshi's grip as the fire he had generated was getting stronger and stronger.

Woozi stood stunned. Hoshi's anger was at its peak and why? Because he got a small scratch on his left arm which had already healed.

Woozi recalled the incident where Hoshi had become insanely outrageous because of a small scratch which Woozi had got. He was simply rolling on the round moving stool but he didn't realise when he slipped off it.

It was so abrupt that he couldn't comprehend to protect himself from falling against the rocks kept for decoration. But Hoshi was quick to catch him within his arms, "Are you alright? What were you even thinking huh?"

Woozi was once again caught off guard by the former's concern, "I'm- I'm fine."

It was when Hoshi came back to his senses. Both of them awkwardly got back to their respective seats after that.

Saving someone from falling was sure not a big deal but the look in their eyes said a different story. And Dino was quick to acknowledge that as he scoffed, "I guess I'm the only single one in this single's squad."
