Lucy's POV

I told Natsu to stay at my apartment for a few minutes and of course, he has to be curious and ask why. I just had to use my imitation of Erza and he stayed put.

I had to help clear this up with the guild. According to Natsu, he scared the wits out of everyone before he fled to my apartment.

Before I reached the guild, I stopped by the library for some research material. I grabbed all kinds of books.

I grabbed books on vampires, folklore, urban legends in Magnolia, forbidden curses and spells, and other stuff around that.

That thing that attacked Natsu that night...

An image of the creature popped back into my mind but, I shook it off.

That thing... Could it be...

I got home and I opened up my door. I shoved all the books on my table and I began to look for Natsu.

I found him in my bedroom, sucking the blood of a squirrel.

"I got hungry..." He said, tossing the bloody animal into the trash can.

"I'm going to help you, Natsu. I just need a little time. Can you clean up while I do that?" I asked.

He nodded and he wiped the blood off his face.

I put on my glasses and I began searching for answers.

-1 Hour Later-

I closed the last book and I took off the glasses.

Natsu was bitten by something called the Alpha Vampire.

Alpha Vampires and the Queen of the hive can turn people into vampires.

He's a lower level vampire, which is why he loses control of his hunger.

Also, if lower level vampires bite people, they won't turn... That could be useful...

Unfortunately, they also have a weird effect when it comes to the moon.

Lower levels are sort of hypnotized into finding the one person, who they desire.

On the night of the Blood Moon, lower levels turn their mates... I doubt Natsu has a girlfriend... Well, there's Lisanna.

Like all folklore, vampires drink blood, can be harmed by silver but, Natsu can still walk in sunlight.

I need to tell Natsu.

I got up from my table and I began to search my apartment for him. I eventually began to look out the windows for him.

I looked up to see the moon. How long have I been researching for?!

I need to find Natsu before he hurts someone!

I ran down the stairs as quickly as I could and I tripped. I came tumbling down and hit my head.

I can't let my headache get in the way of finding Natsu.

I tried to stand up but, I kept seeing double vision. I finally collapsed again, to see a strawberry blonde pop up and find me.

All I saw was darkness.
