Redford tossed and turned, but he just couldn't fall back to sleep again. The mouse that he ate wasn't settling in his stomach. Around him, the three warriors were sound asleep. He waited for a while, but he still couldn't, so he decided to get up. He got up onto his feet, and walked out of the little alley where they were camping. He walked on and on, and he wasn't afraid of getting lost since he had trained in these places with Shadestar for many days.

Suddenly, he heard soft pawsteps.

He swiveled his ears around, trying to locate the sound. The sound came from above him. Trying to act oblivious, he turned around, and walked back towards camp. As he was walking, he could hear the thing following him, edging closer and closer. He couldn't take it anymore, so he turned around, and his eyes widened in shock.

It was a twoleg... But at the same time... A cat? It was walking on two legs and was huge, but at the same time, it was covered in fur from head to toe, and has a face like a cats. Redford could see its glowing yellow eyes.

"W-who... Are you?" Redford trembled.

The creature bent down and looked at him closely, and spoke with a cold female voice. "I am here to make you a deal."

"A... Deal?"

"Yes, of course. I see that you have one eye... So what if I told you I could offer you a second one?"

"B-but that's impossible!"

"It is possible. Why do you think I am here? I was once a cat like you. But then, they have shown me the way, and made me like this. Now I can do so much! If you come with me, I can show you the way too, and you will be able to be strong, have two eyes!"

Redford stared at the creature. It was once... A cat? What magic is this? But curiosity gave way to acceptance, and Redford nodded.

"I'll come with you."

In the dark, the creature grinned.
