Rosario and I ran into Lucas in the hallway and we asked him where he was, to which he replied that he was in the library along with the others.

However, as we reached the library door, Michallis was standing in front of it. 

"You came back?" He asked straightly, looking at me and I nodded firmly.

"Coming back will only raise your chances of dying, you know that don't you? And yet, you're here, you're quite a strange one." He raised his eyebrows at me and I took a deep breath before answering.

"It's not one hundred per cent that I'll die, right? If so, I'm going to fight until the end, alongside the person I love." I announced firmly and he gave a small smile.

"You never fail to amaze me, Irina. Now go, he's inside." He laughed delightedly and moved away from the door. I bowed to him and took a deep breath before opening the door.

"Irina, why are you here?" Zephyr stood facing the door and asked me in great astonishment. Zerav was there, along with Edgar.

"Irina, you've returned," Zerav said with a smile which I returned immediately.

"Yes, thank you," I said and faced Zephyr's glare. 

"Did you all plan this whole thing and bring her back?!" He asked Zerav angrily but Zerav didn't seem to care at all.

"That's rude...I just figured that it is necessary to strengthen the security inside the mansion. Irina's an excellent archer after all." Zerav smiled at me.

" Will you be willing to stay here again, Irina?" He asked and I nodded back, politely with an of course.

"Can you even hear yourself?!" Zephyr shouted at Zerav and I stared at him.

"Don't blame him, Zephyr! This is my decision!" I shouted back at Zephyr who glared at me.

"No matter what, I'm never going to leave your side again, Zephyr!" I spoke to him.

"Do you even understand the situation you're in?!" He asked me to which I nodded my head firmly as a yes.

"It's not too late, You should go back." He grabbed my hand and tried to leave the room but I flung away his hand and glared at him.

"Let go! I told you that I wouldn't!" I shouted but he began again, "Irina, you better--" 

I didn't want to hear the rest so I pulled his face down towards me and firmly pressed my lips over his.

"Wha-" Edgar exclaimed.

"Wow, what a passionate kiss," Zerav chuckled in his voice.

"Irina...I told you to confess your true feelings, not to kiss him in public." Rosario said with a sigh.

"How about we leave them for now, then?" Zerav asked and they started departing with wry smiles on their faces. 

I closed my eyes and fell into the warm feeling of Zephyr's lips. It was so heavenly and my heart was beating faster than ever. It felt even more euphoric when he kissed me back with so much love and affection.

'I really am in love with you Zephyr.' I spoke in surety in my head. 

We stayed that way for a while and soon, I let go of his lips and looked into his eyes as I spoke.

"Listen, Zephyr...My sister died before I reached there...But, I want to thank you for being kind enough to try to help her..."

"What are you saying?" He asked me in a sad tone.

"She lost a lot of blood...However, it's thanks to you, I was able to see my mother, and Rosario got the chance to tell her. But, I don't have a reason to  go back there, unless you come with me.." I stated, firmly.

"You don't have a reason to stay here, either." He said and I shook my head as a no.

"You see...well, there's this vampire who's hard to understand...He's always awkward around everyone and hardly ever honest about his feelings. He did something unfair, telling me that he loves me right before we parted, and now I can't get him out of my head." I smiled slightly and his eyes widened as he heard my confession.

"I came back here to see that kind vampire whom I love more than anyone...I came to see you, Zephyr..." 

"Irina..." 

"If you love me, stay by my side...And if you think it's dangerous, fight with me. You told me to be happy, didn't you? Then make me happy, by your hands. I love you, Zephyr." I ended my words, tearing up and he quickly pulled me into his embrace.

"You haven't changed a little bit ever since I met you..." He declared as we hugged and I just hummed to his words.

"Once you decide something, you don't change your mind no matter whatever may happen...You're a strong woman and have always defied me...And no matter how much I try to push you away..." He put his arms around my waist and hugged me tighter.

"As long as you were safe and happy, I was fine with that...No, that's what I made myself believe...But if I touch you now, I'll never be able to let you go...Are you okay with that, Irina?" He asked me with a crooked smile and I returned the smile.

"Of course I am, you better be prepared too Zephyr...Because I'm not going to leave you even after you get sick of me." I exclaimed with a small chuckle and he snuggled his face onto the base of my neck. 

"Don't regret me making me so serious about you." He gently let go of me before he smiled at me warmly and pulled me into a passionate kiss. 

"Mm.."

"Vampires are a lot more possessive than Elves. Once they love someone and return their love in return, they'll never let the other go. You just blocked your last way out of it, Irina...You really are a fool." He whispered in between the kiss, but his voice was gentle and kind and I giggled slightly.

"I love you, Irina." He said and scooped up my chin with his fingers. His fingers traced the curve of my lips and I lightly bit his fingers as they parted their way into my mouth.

"I love you too, Zephyr." 

He smiled as he pulled away from his fingers and covered my lips with his again. I wrapped my hands around his neck and answered back to the heated kiss. 

'I didn't fall in love with you because I was lonely or lost, Zephyr...' '

I looked at him again and smiled in between the kiss. 'I fell in love with you because after getting to know  you, I realized I wanted to make you a part of my permanent world.'

We leaned back to the sound of a knock at the door and Zephyr turned around to open it. Lucas stood in front of us and put on a look of relief as he saw us standing close to each other.

"So you two worked it out, peacefully. " He smiled and continued, "The others told me not to come in here for a while. Do you have any idea why they said that?"

I quickly looked down as heat rushed up to my cheeks and I shared a glance with Zephyr who chuckled at me before turning to Lucas.

"It should be fine now, Lucas." He smiled awkwardly, not answering the question directly. Then we bowed to him and left to my room.

As we reached the doorstep, I glanced at Zephyr.

"What is it?"

"Umm...You're not going to come in?" I asked back and he chuckled the same smile as before.

"If you want me to stay with you, I can think about it."

"Here you are, saying things like this. But yes, I do want you to stay with me. Happy now?" I said as I chuckled back.

"Very." He said and we got inside my room. The moment we entered, he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me tightly.

"Zephyr, wait..." I began but he shushed me with a kiss.

"You're the one who l let me enter. It's your fault, now give up." He nibbled on my left earlobe and traced it with his tongue which give me a ticklish feeling and I moved slightly.

"Sorry." He whispered and I looked at him.

"You don't sound sorry at all, Zephyr." I replied with a sigh.

"Of course not. What's wrong in touching the woman I love?" He asked and my cheeks started getting red.

"Cute." He touched my cheeks and trailed his lips down until he reached my neck. He hesitated a little before digging his fangs into the soft part of my neck. I felt a slight stinging sensation of pain as he removed his teeth.

"Looks beautiful on your skin." He complimented and I raised my eyebrows at him.

"But, everyone's going to see if I have a mark right on my neck, where it's visible."

"You kissed me in front of everyone. Not to mention your brother was there too. What do you have to be so embarrassed about now?" He asked with a crooked smile and continued, "You're mine, aren't you? Just stay still and let me love you."

"Mm.." I closed my eyes as I felt him showing off his love for me.

That night, I hoped that everything was going to be just fine. With him and Rosario, I hoped that I could make things right.
