I did not want to get out of bed! I knew it would be awkward to see Taehyung and there was no avoiding it. I couldn't understand what was going on between us. I knew there was this supposed mate connection, but Taehyung seemed just as confused as I was. I should probably talk to Willa or Dakota about this; they may have some more insight.

I finally pulled the blanket away from me and decided to take a quick shower since I reeked of smoke! After washing my hair a couple times to try to get the smoke out, I finally felt clean. Wrapping a towel around my body, I turned to the fogged up mirror. I wiped away the fog and was shocked at what I saw. I reached up to touch a section of my hair that framed my face....bleach blonde. What in the world is going on?! I tried to not focus on it as I brushed through my hair and put it half up, letting my hair dry naturally. As I walked down the stairs and got closer to the kitchen, I was hoping that Taehyung was not in the kitchen. As I peaked around the corner, I only saw Willa and Hosek. Thank god! I grabbed some coffee and something to eat and then joined them at the table.

"Morning Alanna." Willa said in the happiest of moods.

"Morning to you too. You sure are happy this morning." I glanced over at Hosek who rolled his eyes and glared at Willa.

"I just slept really well." Willa said.

"Did you guys even sleep? Because it didn't sound like it to me." Hosek looked like he was holding in a laugh as he started down at his food. Willa's jaw dropped as she started to giggle.

"Sorry. I thought we were quiet." She turned towards me and I couldn't help but to laugh as well. Hosek finally looked up and gave me a puzzled look.

"I know I'm a man and usually we don't notice if you ladies change your hair but Alanna, your hair looks different." Willa immediately looked at me and I turned towards her.

"This part is way lighter. Was that there yesterday?" He fingers ran through the section of hair that was lighter.

"I don't think so but I've been spending a lot of time in the sun so it must just be bleaching my hair." Both Hosek and Willa still looked confused but accepted my answer. Hosek then stood up and started walking away.

"Need to get ready for training tomorrow. Have a good day ladies." We told Hosek good bye and then I turned to Willa.

"Training?"

"Ya. Taehyung has us sparring every week to make sure we are in shape and ready for anything. It's not today, for me anyway, since I just teleport away." She gave me a wink.

"Oh."

"You can join if you want. We practice our hand to hand skills as well. Jungkook and Namjoon are pretty good teachers."

"Ya. Dakota taught me some things, but it would be nice to learn some more." I looked down at my food, trying to figure out how I was going to ask her about her mate connection.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I didn't hide my frustration very well at all.

"Do you want to take a walk?" She nodded and we both got up and walked out the door. We walked a bit into the treeline in silence. I knew she was waiting for me to speak.

"I need some advice...about this whole mate thing." We found a patch of grass and decided to sit down while we talked. "Something happened between and I last night and we aren't sure if it's a mate thing or not." I looked up at her and she was nodding her head, letting me know to continue. "Can you and Yoongi, like, feel each other's emotions when you touch?" She sat and thought a bit about my questions.

"No we don't, but that doesn't mean I don't know what he's feeling. Like I have said before, it's hard to explain, but when we are together, we don't need to really say anything because I know that he loves me and cares deeply for me and the same is for me. We are just connected." She shrugged her shoulders not knowing what else to say. I put my head down and started at the grass, thinking. "What happened between you and Taehyung?" I took a deep breath and looked up at her.

"Whenever we touch, we can feel each other's emotions, thoughts, and even memories. It was really overwhelming to the point we couldn't even touch anymore." Willa looked confused and shocked at the same time.

"That doesn't sound like any mate connection I am familiar with, but you and Taehyung are in uncharted territory. You are a human and he is an Alpha so maybe it's a little different for you two."

"Ya, that makes sense." She then nudged me a little and started smiling.

"So you two are getting along now huh?"

"Ugh no." I shook my head. Her look told me to keep going. "We kissed and when we did, I saw some of his thoughts and his urges I guess you could say. He wanted to throw me on his bed and do things to me. I felt really uncomfortable and ran out." I looked up at Willa waiting for a response.

"That's it? He thought about it, but didn't do anything?"

"That's it." Willa rolled her eyes.

"Girl you have so much to learn! Look, the fact that he hasn't done anything like that to you, is proof that he is fighting his instinct and that shit is hard. When Yoongi and I first found out we were mates, there was no hesitation in anything physical...we couldn't stop it and I honestly don't know how Taehyung is able to do it."

"Oh."

"Alanna, what Taehyung is feeling is something that he doesn't really have a choice in. The feeling of being near your mate and not doing anything is not just hard, it's painful and when you actually start to get physical, it can be near impossible to stop. If he was able to kiss you and then pull away, he is holding back so much. Who cares if he thought it, that's his wolf side. Pay attention to what he does or rather doesn't do." I nodded and understood where she was coming from. "Plus I don't know why you just won't give in to someone as gorgeous as him." It was my turn for my jaw to drop as we both giggled.

"What should I do Willa? I don't think I'm ready for everything, but I don't want him to be hurting. I do really care about him, I can't deny anymore. Maybe I am feeling a little bit of a connection."

"Don't rush yourself. If you're not ready, then you're not ready, but try to go easy on him. Remember that this is hard for him and just talk about it with him."

"Thanks. You guys have been amazing and it's only been what like 3 days?" We both started laughing.

"I don't want to rush you, but I need to get back. Yoongi and I are headed out to go hunting soon."

"Oh what's that like?"

"So much fun! I love it! Yoongi and I make a great hunting pair. He sometimes gets made when I have too much fun with it, but we always manage to bring something home."

"So...do you like, bring home dead animals and just eat them raw?" I scrunched up my nose a little trying to think about it.

"That's a pretty stereotypical thing to think about, but you're not completely wrong. Sometimes when we hunt, we just eat in our wolf form, but most of the time, we bring back whatever we kill and cook it like normal people do. It just depends what we find."

"Oh, that's much different than what I was picturing."

We made our way back to the house passing Jimin and Namjoon who were eating. Thankfully, I still hadn't ran into Taehyung and I still needed time to figure out what my next move was going to be. I grabbed the book that I had been reading for a while and sat in the living room trying to drown myself in the pages.

Taehyung POV

I felt terrible that Alanna saw the true side of me, but that kiss. It was nothing like I had ever felt before. It was like both our minds were one. I have felt other people's emotions and thoughts before, but knowing that she could see everything in my mind was unreal. I had never read about this in any of the books my dad had given me. Maybe talking with someone who had experience with a mate could help me. As I was walking around the house, I was trying to find Yoongi or Jin. I saw Yoongi finally leaving the kitchen and heading for the front door.

"Hey Yoongi, what are you up to today?" I asked in a serious tone.

"I'm heading out with Willa to go hunt. You need something?"

"Oh no. Just wondering what everyone is doing." I scratched the back of my neck trying to play it off.

"Such a noisy Alpha." He said nudging me and then walking out the door.

I continued to walk around the house and finally found Jin in the library. I closed the door behind me as I walked in.

"Hey Taehyung. What's up?" He closed the book he was reading and faced me.

"I need to talk to you." I walked over to him and sat down in the chair across from him.

"Kind of figured you did when you closed the door. What's going on?" He leaned forward, ready to listen.

"Ok, so this connection Alanna is weird and I need to know if it's just a mate thing or what." I paused and took a deep breath. "So she touched me last night and could feel everything I was feeling. She saw my thoughts and even memories. She could do what I could do. Can you share your power with Dakota or feel her emotions at all?" I saw Jin rubbing his face with his hands, thinking hard. Without waiting for an answer, my mind started to think of other possibilities. I stood up and started pacing around. "Maybe it's something to do with her being a human and me an Alpha, maybe the connection is stronger."

"Taehyung..." Jin said.

"What?" I turned towards him and the look on his face was something that I had never seen before. He looked uncertain and maybe even worried.

"There is something that I need to tell you."
