After Jacob Black and Renesme married, they conceived a child named Macy Black, who was a quarter human and a quarter vampire, leaving her at a half wolf. This specific genetic combination created the ability to reproduce. Hence, Patrick and Henry Mason were birthed to Eric, a human. The young boys grew up with no knowledge of their heritage but, as they grew older they grew depressed. The Vampire and Wolf struggling inside of themselves for dominance.

Eventually it became so great that their parents told them of their heritage. They both became full fledged wolves. Henery grew stronger and stronger until he became the dominant alpha. To prove his rank, he set out for Alaska which is a known vampire territory. There he met a goddess like creature that he instantly adored. Her name was Catlin.

Catlin decided to bed Henry as a test of her limits. Henry complied with ease. Neither knew the repricusions of their actions. Catlin became plump and nauseated, so before Henry could arrouse. Catlin vanished into the night, as she had been trained. One year later Catlin became the first ever biological vampire mother. Nicolette and Rosemary were born on August 29th Nicolette being 5 seconds older.
