Min Yoongi to the rescue✗
y/n's pov~
I stayed in my room the rest of the night. I didn't want to see Jungkook's face and I didn't want to hear his voice.
After what he had said I didn't even want to associate with him.
Suddenly, there was a knock on my door, sending me alert.
Before I could speak, the door cracks open and a head pops in.
I relaxed instantly upon seeing Yoongi. "Can I come in?" Yoongi asked, smiling over at me.
I nod and watch as Yoongi walks inside, shutting the door softly behind him.
"Are you okay?" Yoongi asked, walking over to my bedside and sitting down.
"I'll be fine. I just don't understand why he has to be such an asshole." I mutter, feeling angry all over again.
"It's just who he is. I'm sorry about what he said. Don't let it get to you." Yoongi said, giving me a soft smile.
"Don't be sorry, I know you don't feel that way just because he does." I say and Yoongi nods, flashing his gummy smile.
"Everyone here likes you, trust me." Yoongi says. "Everyone but Jungkook." I scoff.
"Who cares if he likes you or not. Just stick with the rest of us and we'll keep you safe from the devil." Yoongi snickers.
I smile and lean forward, throwing my arms around Yoongi. He seems taken back by my actions but melts into the hug.
"Thank you, Yoongi, it means a lot." I smile, missing the feeling of a comforting hug.
"Of course. Anything to help you feel better." Yoongi says softly as he hugs back.
A knock on the door causes both of us to pull away from one another.
"Come in." I say and when the door opens, I wish I hadn't said anything at all.
"Dinner is--why are you still here?" Jungkook asked upon noticing Yoongi.
"I was talking to y/n. Anyways I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Yoongi smiled over at me. "Okay." I say, smiling as he leans over and hugs me once again.
Yoongi then stands and heads for the door. "See you tomorrow, boss."
Then he leaves.
Jungkook watches as he goes then turns back to me. "Dinner is ready. Come eat." Jungkook says.
I don't say anything in hopes that he'll just go away. Yet he doesn't.
"I won't be responsible for you getting sick because you don't want to eat." Jungkook says, crossing his arms over his chest.
"I'm not hungry." Is all I say.
"Don't be difficult. You're pouting like a baby over what was said earlier. Grow up." Jungkook says and I grit my teeth.
"I have every right to be angry." I say, looking over at him.
"Why because I told you the truth?" Jungkook scoffs. "No, because you're an asshole. One minute you're kissing me and next you're telling me no one here likes me. Don't get me wrong, I don't care about you not liking me, but to say no one else does, you must seriously be messed up." I say, my fists bawled up.
Jungkook doesn't say anything after that. He doesn't even look at me as he turns around and walks out the door mumbling,
"Come eat."
...
Being the difficult and stubborn person that I am, I didn't go down to eat.
I knew that would only make Jungkook even angrier but honestly, I didn't care.
Instead, I rolled over in my bed and grabbed my phone, scrolling to Yoongi's contact.
Somewhere along the way I had gotten his number and he told me I could text him if I ever needed someone to talk to.
Now was that time. It seemed as if Yoongi would be the only person I would truly feel a connection with here.
Sure, I talk to the others but I feel like Yoongi and I are the closest. It felt as if I had known him for years.
Hey, can we talk on the phone? ~ Y/n.
I waited a few seconds before my phone began to ring. "Hey." The same comforting voice says and I smile instantly at the sound of Yoongi's excited voice.
"Hey." I say as I lean back in my bed. "What happened? Jungkook did something already? I left like ten minutes ago." Yoongi laughs.
"Not really. He's just being his usual self." I say, looking around the room as I waited for Yoongi's response.
"Did you eat?" Yoongi then asked.
"I didn't want to sit with him. So no, I didn't." I say and Yoongi chuckles.
"You should still eat at least. Take it up to your room." Yoongi says.
"If only. Jungkook is strict about that shit. He's like a parent." I scoff and Yoongi laughs again, clearly agreeing.
"I wish you hadn't left. At least then I wouldn't mind going down there. I don't want to be alone with him." I huff as I roll over in my bed.
"I know he can be a bit much but trust me, he won't actually do anything. His words can be hurtful but he's only like that because he wants to show dominance or whatever." Yoongi says.
"Still. I don't want to see his face or I might end up jumping across the table and beating him up." I say jokingly.
"You're quite wild, you know that right?" Yoongi chuckles.
"I'm aware. I think it gives me lots of spunk." I grin even though he can't see me.
"You're cute." He says, a smile in his words.
"Thanks." I say, giggling without realizing. Talking with Yoongi made me feel happy. It made me feel free again.
"Regardless, you need to eat! If you really need me too, I'll come back over." Yoongi says and I nearly jumped with joy.
"Will you please?" I ask, smiling into the phone. I could already hear Yoongi sitting up moving around.
"I'll be over soon. I'll see you then." Yoongi says before clicking off the phone.
I hopped up, feeling beyond excited. My mood had sky rocketed and I felt overjoyed.
Soon enough, Yoongi would arrive and I would feel better once again.
...
3rd person pov-
Jungkook sat at the kitchen table, watching the spot where y/n should have been.
It had been an hour and y/n still hadn't come down to eat.
Jungkook had contemplated apologizing and bringing her food but he couldn't bring himself to do it.
Jungkook didn't want to be seen as weak. He didn't want to show he cared. It never ended well.
Just as Jungkook was about to give in, a knock on the front door sent Jungkook into a state of alertness and confusion.
Without even needing to get up, the sound of the front door opening came and Jungkook heard the sound of Yoongi's voice.
"I'm here!" Yoongi sang, his voice ringing through the halls.
Since the house was big and empty, it echoed. Y/n heard Yoongi's voice instantly and fled from her bedroom.
Jungkook walked out of the dining room just as y/n came flying down the stairs.
Jungkook bit the inside of his cheek as he watched y/n attach herself to Yoongi.
"You're here!" Y/n sang, smiling widely.
"Why are you here?" Jungkook finally asked, confused and even a little ticked off.
Jungkook didn't want to see Yoongi right now and not after the conversation they had earlier that day.
"Y/n and I are gonna hang out, isn't that cute?" Yoongi said mockingly as he stuck his tongue out. At first glance in that moment, you wouldn't think this guy was second up in a Mafia.
"Cute? I didn't invite you here. Leave." Jungkook says, his jaw clenching.
"I invited him." Y/n pipes in, stepping up beside Yoongi. Jungkook and Yoongi both looked over at her.
"This isn't your house. You don't get to invite people over." Jungkook shot back, his words bitter.
"Since I'm staying here it's technically my house at the moment, no?" Y/n says and Yoongi held back a laugh.
He still found it amazing that y/n could talk back to him like that. She was the first one to ever do so. Not even Ji-eun had.
"It won't be for long if you keep talking back to me with that cocky little mouth of yours." Jungkook says as he lets out a huff.
"If you want to kick me out that's fine. Maybe I can just stay with Yoongi or something, if he wouldn't mind." Y/n says, her words serious.
"I think that's enough. Don't make him even more mad." Yoongi whispered, nudging y/n slightly.
Y/n scoffed as she turned her nose up at Jungkook.
"Are you hungry now?" Yoongi asked, changing the subject.
Y/n looks over at Yoongi, her eyes shining.
"Starving."
