Chapter 6: A Grim Warning

Sai-Rin couldn't get rid of the large smile on her face as Alastor walked away after kissing her hand. "Well...he's quite a gentleman, not gonna lie..." she said to herself. "Looks can be deceiving, Pumpkin." Sai-Rin slightly tensed up at suddenly hearing Husk's voice, then smiled, blushing at his nickname for her. "What do you mean?" she asked. "Alastor seems like a nice guy."

Husk leaned against the wooden bucket Sai-Rin was laying in. "He's an overlord of Hell. He's more powerful than all of us combined. Just the mere mention of his name can send even the most well composed demon into hysterics." Sai-Rin propped her chin up on her hand, listening. Husk looked at Sai-Rin, his eyes intense. "Just be careful around him, Sai-Rin." he said, putting a paw on one of her hands. "You're my best friend, and I couldn't bear the thought of you getting hurt."

Sai-Rin smiled. "Don't worry, Husk. I'll be ok." Husk patted Sai-Rin's short periwinkle blue locks, then walked away. Sai-Rin leaned back in her little water filled bucket, thinking about what Husk had told her. Alastor couldn't be that dangerous, could he?
