Chapter 5: A New Face

~Many days Later~

It had been days since Sai-Rin had unexpectedly arrived in Hell. She got to meet the princess, who owned the hotel she now called home. Charlie had a very upbeat and optimistic attitude, and she was never seen without a smile. Charlie had the hotel built to rehabilitate sinners due to the overpopulation in Hell. Sharing Sai-Rin's new home were Vaggie, a moth demon who was Charlie's girlfriend, a pink and white spider demon named Angel, a cute little cyclops named Niffty, and Baxter, an elusive anglerfish scientist. Husk was in charge of the front desk/bar in the hotel, so Sai-Rin always knew where to find him if she wanted to talk.

The deep tank had been replaced by a shallow bucket of water so Sai-Rin's tail could stay hydrated, and she didn't have to worry about feeling like she was going to drown again. It took a while for Sai-Rin to get used to this new lifestyle, but she had made plenty of friends in the Happy Hotel. One day, however, would change Sai-Rin's life in ways she could never imagine. Charlie had announced that a certain hotel patron would be helping Charlie's redemption process. Sai-Rin had been taking a nap in her little bucket, but woke up upon hearing this news, since she hadn't met this resident of the hotel yet. A new person meant more friends to be made, after all!

The mystery demon quite literally stepped out of the shadows. "That was quite the show, Charlie!" he said enthusiastically. The demon looked like some kind of deer. His face was pale grey, and topped with two toned red and black hair which came down to his jawline, with deer ears of the same color, along with a pair of small black antlers. His eyes were red, and his mouth was stretched in a wide, toothy grin. He wore a light red dress shirt under a dark red jacket, along with a burgundy bow tie.

He also carried a staff with a microphone on the end. The new demon looked around the room, until his eyes landed on Sai-Rin. There was something almost predatorial about the look in his eyes, but Sai-Rin couldn't help but feel captivated by them. He walked over to her and knelt down. "Well, who's this pretty little darling?" he asked, his smile growing slightly wider. Sai-Rin brushed her bangs out of her face so she could make proper eye contact.

"I'm Sai-Rin. It's nice to meet you, sir."  she said, holding out her hand for a shake. The deer demon took Sai-Rin's hand in his. "Pleasure to meet you, Sai-Rin." he replied, giving Sai-Rin's hand a kiss, which caused her to blush. "My name is Alastor."
