"don't you feel powerful now?" taehyung let out a prolonged sigh, why had so many people approached him now? sure, he was prince now, but nobody talked to him this much before! taehyung turned over his shoulder. great, his mother! she had dark hair that lead to her shoulders and abruptly stopped there, red eyes that screamed hatred for her life. taehyung found it amusing.
"no, i feel like i have a crown on my head and a kingdom full of people that care about my existence suddenly." taehyung eyed along his mother's body. her outfit was quite scandalous that night, for something that was supposed to be important to taehyung. not to her. he'd sigh, ruffling his own hair for comfort and nearing the window of his room. the one he escaped to after the ceremony.
"well, you have a decision in certain things now, son. of course people care about what you have to say." she'd declare, nearing the window as well to pat her son's back. "you were chosen for a reason."
taehyung deflected the comforting hand, stepping toward the balcony door and flinging it open. "i was chosen because baekhyun failed. otherwise i'd be kicked under the rug." he'd smile, amused at his own realization. he wasn't their first choice! he would never be.
"i need to go- think." taehyung leapt into the night sky, his body hurling towards the ground. vampires were quite unpredictable, yet he landed somewhat safely and flashed away. taehyung, like all vampires, has the speed of light. he flashed through the crowds of people. taehyung's mother watched as merely a light escaped her vision and her conversation.
taehyung was soon by the border of the town, the thickets. they called the forest here the wolf woods. mainly due to the fact that the werewolves could be found on the other side. taehyung settled himself beside a tree trunk, leaning on it's body for support. it was cold, it felt nice.
taehyung groaned, he was hungry. he had been hungry for what seemed like ages now. he stood, staring into the dark woods and perhaps in search of a small rodent to feast on to quench his thirst.
"what's a vampire doing so far from his castle?" taehyung almost screamed. he came here to get away from all the talking, not indulge in another pointless conversation. taehyung glared in the direction of the voice, and was only met with glowing blue eyes. a werewolf. every werewolf had blue eyes, just like the vampires had red, the fairies and elves had green, and the warlocks had purple.
taehyung bared his fangs. "a royal blood? that crown looks mighty expensive." the werewolf teased viciously, circling the unamused vampire.
"what, am i your prey or something?" taehyung hissed, his eyes glowing a bright, dangerous red.
the blue eyed boy smirked, "only if you want to be." he'd raise a clawed hand and touch the vampire's chin delicately. "you are too valuable to eat. how about you come home with me? my pack would love a newcomer."
the vampire seemed unfazed. "why are you even out this late?"
the werewolf halted, "i could ask the same about you." taehyung scoffed, his fangs growing as he imagined sinking his fangs into the neck of this irritable werewolf.
"i'm a vampire. i can't exactly be out early, can i?" he'd tilt his head and give the werewolf a knowing look. the werewolf retracted and glared at the vampire.
"i wouldn't be testing me, i have the upper hand." he'd growl, his claws jet black and threatening against the crowned boy's neck. not that it mattered, taehyung was already dead. he felt nothing. his heart didn't pick up in speed, no rush of uncertainty or excitement. he merely glared right on back, his fangs oddly white and long in the dark atmosphere.
taehyung could not really tell what this werewolf looked like. he had brown hair too, piercings covered his ears, a blue necklace fell over his collar bones. it looked as if he had a plain red t shirt on, and some pants that weren't too flashy or important to the situation... as if pants were ever important to a situation.
"who said you have the upper hand here, wolfie?" taehyung retracted and flashed away from the tree trunk. the werewolf growled as wind rustled his hair, making it fly wildly as the vampire appeared behind him, fangs hanging over his neck, right above a blue, bulging vein.
"don't underestimate vampires just because you don't like my kind." he'd whisper in the werewolf's ear. "now, if you'll excuse me- i've got a kingdom to help rule." and with that, the vampire dashed into the distance, leaving the werewolf surrounded by trees and nothingness.
