You guys did what?
A masked man moved through the trees with his group of six men following him. He lifted a hand up to signal to them all that they were stopping. He crouched down in the hedges and watched closely. They waited and waited until they eventually saw they head of the company, John Clinton. The leader of the group looked around him, there were ten other groups, much bigger than his own, placed around the area on the gardens were the meeting was planning to happen. They had been warned to stay sharp, John had called in Sabertooth mages to deal with them. They had apparently arrived earlier that day, he was looking but he couldn't see them. Then again in the dark of night with only the silvery light from the moon, he could barely see his own hand in front of his face. He clutched onto his gun tightly and aimed it at John Carter's head, he hated this guy. He had been an employer of the company once but he was fired for always being late. After that all he did was sit at home and drink beer, so his wife and three kids left them. He hadn't seen any of them in two years and it was all this guys fault. He wanted to be the one to put a bullet in his brain. Either John Carter would hand over the company peacefully or they would kill him and take it that way. They never really planned to tough his precious daughter, they couldn't. She was always too well guarded and her twin brother was very cleaver and could see through any lie they tried to throw at him to try and seperate him from his twin sister. This was the only way but now they had those mages to look out for. That was a pain but there was only three of them and two cats. They were no match of a 50 man army.
"Sir we have a problem." Said one of his men in his eyes.
"What now?" He said grumpily.
"Well...I don't know how to tell you this but..." He looked around and so did the leader. His eyes widened as he saw four of his mean dead on the floor.
"What? That's not possible, how are they dead?"
"I don't know Sir. They seem to be shot but there is no bullet wound, they're just covered in blood. Like they were hit by some kind of silent invisible weapon."
"It's those annoying Sabertooth mages." He growled and looked out through the hedge. "Where are you you little runts? Alright you go and look on the other side of the..." He stopped when he saw that the man that was by his side was dead. How did that happen? He heard nothing and it happened so fast. He began to shake in fear, what was happening? He looked out of the hedge again. He should move. They knew that he was here, they would come for him soon enough. He took a shaky breath in and out and then rose slightly. He took one last look out but he saw a ball of something red coming flying straight for his forehead, it hit him like a brick wall and went straight through his head. He fell to the floor, joining his fallen comrades and the light left his eyes...
"Are you planning to kill them all?" Sting said watching Ruby fire bullet after bulllet.
"As many as I can see. Our job is to deal with them, the client wants those that oppose him dead. That's what I'm doing."
"But we're hired mages not assassins." He said.
"You've never killed anyone before have you Sting?"
"Not a person but I've killed a dragon before." Ruby stopped firing and looked at him.
"Really?" She asked like she didn't believe him.
"Yeah I killed my Father." He said. Ruby frwoned at him.
"You killed your own Father?" She questioned him feeling a little angry at that comment.
"It's not what you think. I mean that want I tell everyone to make them scared but it's not like that at all really."
"Then what is it like?" She asked glaring at him. Rogue could tell she was getting really mad now.
"Ruby it's just like he says." He said trying to calm her down.
"You too?" She said just getting more angry. She couldn't believe she had fallen for someone that killed his own Father, he one that had raised him.
"Both our Fathers where in pain, they were six and they asked us to assist them in death. They asked us to kill them."
"Yeah it's not like he enjoyed doing it." Said Sting and Ruby's expression softened.
"Whatever." She said going back to what she was doing.
"Ruby look." Said Lector as three hooded figures came out of the hedges and approached their client, who stood in his party suit...alone...
