Chapter One

"Laito...?" I stand in his bedroom doorway, it's no earlier than three in the morning. "Laito..." I call his name again, stepping closer. Slowly, his beautifully exhilarating green eyes pierce the darkness.
"What do you want, (Name)?" he asks sleepily, sitting up. "I'm trying to sleep." I give a deep sigh as I attempt to explain the situation.
"I know, I know, but... I can't sleep. Could you tell me one of your stories?" Laito was an excellent storyteller, and I often came to him when I needed inspiration or just needed a way to fall asleep peacefully.
"Fine, Little Girl, but just one." Of course. It was never too early for him to start calling me that. We sat in the floor together, and I watched with interest as he began telling the story. A few minutes later, it came to an end. As we stood, he stroked my cheek with a finger. "Get some sleep, 'kay?" he whispered. He smiled at me. Not the usually sexualized smirk he had on his face, but an actual smile. I gave him one in return and nodded, turning to leave.

"Good morning, sunshine," a familiar voice cooed as a hand stroked my shoulder.
"Mmh, what time is it?" I groaned, sitting up. Laito had come to wake me up.
"How should I know?" He chuckled and shrugged. "Got the house to ourselves today." He winked at me, taking me by the hand and leading me toward the entrance hall. "That means no rules to stop us here." I giggled with delight.
"Ooh, what do you have planned?" I asked mischievously. He pushed me up against the wall, one hand holding my wrists above my head, the other tilting my chin. A devious smirk broke across my face. The initial contact of his fangs against my neck was normal, I loved that feeling. The moment they pierced the skin, however, was pure torture. The pain was worse than usual. No matter how rough this man was with me, I had never experienced this. I begin to feel the warmth of my tears hit my eyes. He didn't seem to notice until I said something. "S-stop for a second..." I managed. He pulled away, confused.
"Is something the matter? You're usually really into it." I leaned up from the wall, placing a hand up to my neck to slow the bleeding, as the tears begin to flow across my face. "(Name)? What is it? Did I hurt you?" I start to walk away, trying not to worry him.
