What could be more powerful than a vampire?

Vampires are supposed to be the ones on top of the food chain. But at that moment, as the mysterious man stare down at her with his lips curled into a smirk, Aspen knew she is helplessly under his power.

Hindi naman pinakitaan ng kahit anong kagaspangan ng lalaki si Aspen. Ngumiti lamang ito sa kanya matapos kintalan ng halik ang labi niya. Damn, his kiss was even more powerful than his eyes! She knew he got her--hook, line and sinker.

They next thing she knew, they were inside a cab. They both knew they shouldn't be doing anything along the lines of lasciviousness. They sat there, barely tpuching each other but the electricity between them was almost palpable. Aspen's becoming breathless the more she hold herself back. Her hands itched to touch him, taste him.

After a few minutes of torture, they got into an apartment. She barely had time to examine the whole room which is what vampires like her are used to do. The guy was strong enough--maybe someone who could handle a fight against five or more human being? Although not nearly as strong as her, that should've bothered her. She watched the guy as he struggled with every breath. He was so pale and his pulse is getting weaker and weaker. Any minute now, mamamatay ito. Wala na siyang magawa.

She was now his creator. At ang creator ay hindi basta bastang inaabanduna ang newborn niya. The creator has to teach the newborn the ways of a vampire. That's their unspoken rule. Kung hindi nila gagawin iyon ay tiyak matatawag nito ang pansin ng mga hunter at iyon na ang katapusan nila.

She had experienced a lot from her two hundred years of existence. Hindi siya gagawa ng bagay na ikapapahamak niya.

Mauupo sana si Aspen sa isang couch sa loob nang kwarto ng makaramdam siya ng matinding sakit sa buong katawan. It started with a dull ache that she assumed was due to having rough sex. Hanggang sa buong kaibuturan na niya ang sumasakit. Mahapdi na para bang hinihimay ang bawat piraso ng kanyang balat. Like her blood's burning her. Killing her.
