The ceiling lights were dimmed down, Moonlight's PM speakers overhead were playing 'Claire De Lune', the silent, gentle and foreboding piano keys echoing into the empty casino grounds. All the while, Bart the Bartender kept his eye out; a loaded .357 Magnum on the countertop. A red rose decorated the lapel of his white bartender's suit, very soon more red would accompany it. He made sure to double check on the traps laid by him and (Y/N). Ultraviolet lamps were securely nailed to the walls, scented candles were placed on almost all of the blackjack tables; giving off an aroma of roses, and the sound system was cranked up to it's highest.
In the Men's Room, (Y/N) had his weapons set up on the countertops. His FN P90, his Benelli and the Glock. Magazines were all laid out accordingly, loaded with his UV-infused rounds.
(Y/N) donned an all black suit, save for his blood-red necktie. Observing himself in the mirror, he inspired quite the confidence in himself. Nevertheless he was still very nervous of the coming confrontation. He had another bottle of his favourite red cherry flavoured wine with him, along with a chalice and a tainted napkin. Drinking his stress away.
(Y/N): "Tonight, the hunter becomes the hunted."
He assured to himself. It was only a question now of which he would be.
It was then he could head the distant sounds of multiple approaching engines... Exhaling heavily, he downed the last of the drink, grabbing his Glock along with it's respective magazines. Retrieving his FN P90, he switched the safety off, cocked the action, and slung it over his shoulder.
- Meanwhile -
Night had fallen over Gothic Prime once more, a dozen or so cars sped towards the Moonlight Casino. Carrying Vlad's loyal henchmen, ready to destroy anything at their master's command. Tires screeched as they all parked in a disorganized manner, their occupants exited shortly afterwards. All were donning suits, some straightened their ties as they walked out. Among the large gathering of vampires was Arlene Luca, who was picked up by the group as they passed by (Y/N)'s apartment block.
Vampire 1: "He's in there, I know it."
Vampire 2: "Judging by what father Luca said, our guards are already dead in there. I smell it... however I also smell... flowers?"
He said, quite confused.
Arlene: "I smell them too... He might have prepared counter-measures. But once we get to him, it's all a matter of who gets his neck first..."
Vampire 1: "... Miss Luca, we have to obey your father on this... We all know you have a different view on the human, but we're not turning him tonight."
He informed her, Arlene barely acknowledged her fellow vampire, just simply nodding slightly.
Arlene: "Right... understood."
The doors were barricaded, no problem for the vampires. They busted it down in a mere half-second. The lights were cut as they entered, meanwhile (Y/N) and Bart donned night-vision goggles. (Y/N) handed his FN P90 to him, heading off. Meanwhile, the speakers had switched over to the next song. Antonio Vivaldi's 'Winter'... The gentle beginning tunes of the harpsichord set an eerie atmosphere for the members of The House of Luca. They kept their wits about them, but with the precautions taken by (Y/N). It was close to impossible to tell where he was, even with their enhanced vampiric senses.
Vampire: "Does anyone know wher-"
His question was cut short by a bullet, he fell onto his back and hissed in agony as the UV round incinerator him from the inside. Arlene watched in horror as she realized her and her fellow vampire's sudden vulnerability.
Arlene: "He's using ultraviolet bullets!"
Bart then turned on a set of the UV lamps, these were not as effective as the bullets; as the vampires could escape the beams before they were fully charred. Nevertheless they worked as a deterrent. She tried to locate (Y/N), but the blinding lamps forced her eyes to adjust. Eventually, she could see Bart firing his FN from a balcony.
Arlene: "Get him, now!"
The music did it's work as she suddenly picked up the sound of rapid footsteps approaching. (Y/N) emerged from behind a column and tacked down one of the vampires, shooting two bullets into his skull.
(Y/N): "Miss me, Miss Luca?"
Arlene just fiercely hissed back, baring her fangs as two vampires flanking her on either side charged him directly.
He accurately gunned down one, but the other got in too close. He firmly grabbed (Y/N)'s right arm and proceeded to try and clamp his fangs down onto his wrist. Only for them to break off at the surface of a titanium bracelet. (Y/N) then simply let go of his pistol, catching it with his left hand and emptied the rest of its rounds into his attacker's stomach.
Arlene: "You're empty."
She threateningly teased.
(Y/N): "So are you."
He shot back, as he pushed the dying vampire off of him.
Arlene: "I don't need weapons."
(Y/N): "I wasn't talking about a gun."
Bart: "(Y/N) run!"
He yelled, firing at Arlene. Who dodged the gunfire, taking cover behind a column. (Y/N) nodded at Bart and reloaded his Glock with the precision of a well-calibrated machine. Running to cover as more vampires began to attack, forcing him to empty another magazine at his immortal foes.
(Y/N): "I wasn't expecting the entire clan to be here!"
He yelled to himself, reloading once more. Bart eventually ran out of SMG rounds. Drawing his .357, he fanned the hammer towards a couple of attackers.
Bart took cover with (Y/N), reloading his revolver and spinning the chambers.
(Y/N): "Take this, there'll be more. I have more firepower, I just need you to hold them off"
Bart: "Why didn't you just lead with the Benelli?"
He complained, taking (Y/N)'s Glock and cocking it.
(Y/N): "I didn't think Luca'd send so many. It's a last resort kinda thing."
He said, sprinting into the bathroom as Bart sighed and kept firing at the vampires. Both guns held in each hand, (Y/N) was able to make his way into the men's room, pushing his way past the door he grabbed his Benelli as well as a few shells. Sliding the shells in quickly one by one.
He heard Bart's terrified yell through the door, making him hurry out of the men's room.
As he busted past the door, he found both handguns laying down on the floor. Keeping his shotgun handy, he knelt down on one knee to pick up both his Glock and Bart's S&W.
(Y/N): "Come out stalkers of the night! Come out to receive your judgement!"
He said, cocking his shotgun.
He heard a vicious hiss from behind as he turned quickly and let loose a shell into a vampire's head. The assailant flew backwards onto his back, the mangled corpse slowly vaporized.
(Y/N): "That's one. How many more of you are there left? Come out come out wherever you are!"
He said, smirking callously. Slowly stalking the casino grounds, the intricate slaughter taking place juxtaposed against the gentle noise of centuries-old music. His shotgun at the ready, giving him such a massive power over such immortal eldritch beings.
(Y/N): "This is a strange circumstance isn't it!? A lowly meal fighting back against the predators of the night. How ironic, how tragic you won't be able to appease your precious master!"
He openly mocked. A Vampire leapt from the second floor to try and attack him from above, (Y/N) simply aimed his shotgun upwards without even looking. Firing and killing the assailant instantly.
(Y/N): "How many of you freaks are left, huh!? Perhaps it's only now that you understand. You aren't gonna be able to escape! The night's still young, you're still young, and I'm still young. We have plenty of time to see this through to the end."
- Arlene's POV -
Dancing in the spotlight of UV lamps and gloating, he won't be laughing when I finally get my hands on him...
Vampire: "He's dependant on the UV lights for survival, find the breaker room. We'll cut it."
One of them suggested. But I knew how the building worked, after all I came here a lot. My father essentially ran the place.
Arlene: "It's useless, the building has a backup generator. That is hidden underground."
Vampire: "How many of us are left?"
He whispered.
Arlene: "I-I don't know, he's destroyed so many... I've never seen anything like that done to this degree before."
I was indeed horrified at this, so many of us were dead already. Most simple fledglings, but a significant number had been with the family for generations... (Y/N) had snuffed them out like they were nothing.
It was then I heard heavy footsteps coming up from the stairs, the Vampire with me slowly approached the staircase. Despite me gesturing for him to come back.
Vampire: "Antonescu? Is that y-"
I jumped slightly as he was forced back into the safety barriers by a shotgun blast, he was already burning up from the inside. But (Y/N) fired three more times into him, he was nothing more than a heap of ash after (Y/N) was done with him.
(Y/N): "Anton's already double-dead, but I found you... and YOU."
With that last word he appeared out from the staircase and glared right at me. I fled onto the first floor, dodging the lamps he had set up in order to hide from his iron sights. I weighed my options: the first was me running and coming back to father empty handed; and unacceptable scenario, the second was evading (Y/N)'s deathly anti-Vampire tactics. I can't tell which is worse... Survival is the utmost factor, but nevertheless as of now I am faced with oblivion... I have to decide which of these has the best outcome for me...
