"i hate them." taehyung sighed, picking up his coffee to take a drink.

the older of the two sipped on his own hot chocolate, smiling as the warmth filled his stomach.

"you're still mad about last night?" jimin asked with a laugh.

yesterday when they were just starting to be intimate in bed jimin had gotten a call from yoongi making sure he was safe and okay without his presence there.

there's nothing quite as mood killing than being interrupted by the boy that would literally kill them both if he knew exactly what he had just stopped from happening.

"just because they can't fuck for four days doesn't mean we can't either."

jimin blushed at the words, kicking his shin underneath the table resulting in a small yelp from the baritone voice. "that hurt."

"good." the older sassed back, looking out the café.

when taehyung had asked him where he wanted to go on their first official date he figured they'd be going somewhere expensive and formal and was all for it, but was quite let down when jimin asked for the little local coffee shop outside of their own work instead.

nevertheless, he was happy they were on a date in the first place.

it didn't matter where, he was just content he got to spend time alone with the boy he cared about so much.

"you know we have to tell him soon, right?"

jimin frowned as he nervously dug his fingernails into the cardboard feeling wrap around his drink to keep his hand from getting burnt.

"i know," he looked down at the table in order to avoid the hazel eyes he knew was focused on him. "but it's scary to think about."

"it'll be even scarier to do, but we need to."

a hand rested on his knee for reassurance.

"can't we just maybe wait? just a little bit?"

taehyung frowned, hand falling back to his side. "jimin, i love you-"

"and i love you too-"

"-but i don't want to keep running around with you behind his back like we're some high schoolers sneaking around their parents. is it too greedy for me to want to openly kiss and be affectionate towards my boyfriend?"

jimin's hot chocolate was now completely forgotten about on the small white table.

he knew taehyung was right but he didn't want to disappoint yoongi with the choices he had made up to this point.

"i know you might not be ready for it, but i don't want to be someone you feel like you have to hide or be ashamed of."

the red haired boy swirled his cup in his long fingers; a slight habit he had when thinking about something for too long.

as much as jimin cared for the younger, he also cared for his childhood friend as well.

however, the thought of hurting taehyung's feelings scared him even more than disappointing yoongi for what felt like the hundredth time.

"we'll tell them when they get back."

"promise?" the younger held out his pinky from across the table with excited eyes.

"promise." jimin linked them together.

taehyung grinned his infamous box smile and held the boy's hand over the top of the table, finally able to feel at ease about him caring enough to want to tell yoongi.
