⚣thirteen
jimin gave himself a pep talk to prepare to explain to seokjin why he was late as he stood outside of the glass doors, not realizing the other boys inside were all watching him.
"it'll be okay, jimin. he's not going to fire you for the first time you're late, right?" he paced around, not noticing the blonde open the door in front of him.
"what the hell are you doing?" seokjin rose an eyebrow as jimin literally screamed and jumped back.
the teal haired man beside him laughed at the scared boy, pushing him inside.
"l-look, i'm so-sorry for being late, b-b-bu-but-"
"jimin, you're only a minute late." hoseok snickered at the pastry counter.
the boy stared up at his bosses thinking he was about to get yelled at, or worse.
"i promise it won't happen again."
he bowed down, getting emotional because for the second time this week he felt as though he let someone down.
"it's honestly fine, jimin."
it was only twelve in the afternoon meaning service was pretty non existent until about one when people had lunch breaks and got off work.
jimin stood up straight looking up at namjoon like he was some kind of hero who saved his life.
jungkook laughed at the scene, but the boy beside him wasn't as amused.
"maybe you wouldn't be late if you didn't leave in the middle of the night."
the room seemed to silence, not a trace of laughter in the air anymore.
"our walls are thin, i was uncomfortable being there."
"i called you forty nine times and we stayed up all night waiting for you." yoongi's voice was strict like an angry parent, but his eyes were clearly showing concern.
jimin looked at jungkook, noticing a bit of dark circles under both his and yoongi's eyes.
"jimin, where were you?"
"i-"
their conversation was cut off by another voice.
"he came over to my place last night asking if he could sleep on the couch since he didn't know where else he could crash at." an arm slung around jimin's shoulder.
yoongi let out a sigh of relief, thankful that he wasn't with another random guy throwing himself around again.
yoongi looked back at his childhood friend apologetically. "i'm sorry for assuming things, i'm still just freaked out about the club thing."
jimin looked at the person who still kept their arm lazily around his shoulders. "y-yeah, it's okay."
luckily all the blaming and inquiring stopped and everyone went on with what they were a doing.
"why did you do that?"
hoseok only smiled, waving it off. "you looked like you needed the help."
jimin nodded, thankful that hoseok had saved him from the boy he really cared about getting angry at him again.
despite his almost unbearable overprotectiveness, jimin still loved him.
he couldn't help but feel saddened when he didn't meet yoongi's expectations, but at the same time, now he was starting to feel a special kind of way for a boy who made him want to not meet them.
