the black haired boy walked out of his apartment building in hopes of finding a job.

yoongi told him he didn't really have to rush into finding one since he paid the bills just fine on his own, but jimin insisted that he should at least pay his half of the rent too.

yet, he wasn't quite sure if yoongi even wanted him at his apartment anymore since he was 'pathetic'.

he walked down the street leading to a small cafe before entering the cozy, warm little place.

although he could have simply drove, the weather was nice and he thought it would be a nice opportunity to clear his mind.

"can i just have a hot chocolate?" the older lady at the cash register smiled and told him the price.

he handed over five dollars, getting a dollar and forty cents in return.

once jimin was handed the hot cup he took a seat next to the window and searched on his phone for any open positions.

there were plenty of waitering positions available, but he wasn't that interested in wearing formal wear everyday just to take orders and send out food.

"jimin!" the shop's little bell on the door chimed as a voice called him from the entrance.

"oh hey, hoseok was it?"

hoseok nodded, walking up to the counter to order, which because jimin had sat down right next to the window beside the entrance, they could still communicate.

hoseok came back with a sweet looking caramel coffee, sitting opposite of the boy still looking through the long list of jobs.

"i was just going on lunch break and saw you so i figured i'd come say hi." the brunette smiled widely at the cute boy he only had the pleasure of meeting once before.

unfortunately on the night of hoseok's party with his group of friends, things didn't end so well.

out of no where yoongi grabbed the black haired boy and brought him to the bathroom, the five all sat in the living room in silence as loud yells from the older echoed out of the room.

personally, hoseok found nothing wrong with jimin's marks and didn't judge him what so ever about what he was doing with other people as it wasn't his or anyone else's business.

at the same time, they knew how fatherly their friend acted towards his childhood friend.

although it was their first time meeting jimin, yoongi would often be on the phone with him lecturing him about his grades.

"oh? where do you work?"

"the lounge bar across the street, namjoon and seokjin own it. you looking for a job?"

perhaps this was jimin's lucky day.

"actually yeah." hoseok gave him a smile, pulling out his own phone to text his two friends.

jimin sipped on his hot chocolate carefully to avoid burning his tongue.

"i'll get back to you on what they say." hoseok checked the time he had remaining before he was expected back. "i think you'll enjoy it there, it's really chill and we even have hot coco."

jimin's stomach warmed as the hot liquid traveled down his throat.

"thank you, it means a lot."

hoseok only nodded, a smile not leaving his face because of the younger boy's sweet personality.
