Four days without talking. It sucked. You didn't know why, but life had to go on & so did school.

It was lunchtime. You sat with your buddies and joked around. While you stuck a fry in your mouth, you saw Emma walking from the corner of your eye. You just sat there, staring at her from a distance. Just as you stuck another fry in your mouth, you felt hands grip your shoulders, shaking you.

"Dude, come on." It was one of your friends.

"What's happening?" You turned around.

"Let's get out of here." Your friend said. You glanced at the entry way of the cafeteria and saw your other friends waiting. You rolled your eyes getting up and then heading to the exit.

As you left the cafeteria, Emma saw you from a distance. She sighed as she turned back around to her table to continue to talk to her other friends.

School was finally over and you were packing your bag, before heading out the classroom to go to your locker. You placed your notebook inside, then left to your locker. You opened it up and grabbed the food that you had left in after lunch.

You pulled your phone out, while shutting your locker and began to leave the building. As you were about to walk across the street, you see Emma, standing while reading a book.

You stuck your phone in your back pocket, before heading over to her. You sighed as you lightly tapped her shoulder. She turned around and you slightly smiled.

"It wasn't my intention to make you mad. I'm not the type of person to lead someone on, then hurt their feelings. Maybe I could've gone about it a little differently, but I was being honest. I couldn't lie to you and I'm sorry if me being honest, hurt your feelings." You finished.

"I'm not mad. I understand. But what I didn't like is that we didn't talk for like four days." She said, you chuckled.

"So...we good?" You slipped your hands in your pockets.

"We're good." She nodded.

"Does that mean I can come over?" You asked in a sing-song tone.

"Of course." She swung her arm over your shoulders and y'all began to walk to her house.
