You and Emma never really cared of how different you guys were. Yes, you guys fought practically all the time cause the music was too loud or having the blinds closed or open. You love Emma you do, but you were sick of the arguing. It wasn't at all healthy,

You watched her walk into the kitchen as you sighed, "Em, can we talk real quick?"

She nodded and pulled out a chair to sit in. She sat across from you and your foot was tapping under the table. You didn't wanna do it, but you knew it was the right thing to do.

"What's wrong?" She saw the look on your face. She knew you all too well to tell when things were ok or not.

"Lately, we've been arguing a lot. Like more than usual." You began, "I just don't think it's healthy. For any relationship." You spoke.

"People argue all the time. It's just what they do. There is no such thing as a perfect relationship." She said.

"So people argue about plates, blinds all the time?" You asked. You could tell she was a little choked on words. She knew you were right.

"We- we're different, ok?" She stammered on her words.

"Yeah, too different." You mumbled.

"I don't understand. What's the point of this conversation?" She ask.

You sighed once again, "We can't go at lest one day without arguing over something stupid. We're not happy, Emma. Sure we can go out and pretend like everything's ok, but it isn't. You know it emma."

She shook her head, biting the inside of her cheek to stop a tear from falling. She knew where this conversation was heading and she was gonna do everything in her power to prevent those words from coming out your mouth.

"You're not gonna say it." She stood up, "I'm not gonna let you give up on us. We maybe different, but no one ever said you have to be the same in a relationship. I'm not gonna give up on us!" She rose her voice and you sighed leaning back in your seat.
