You were one of Emma's closest friends, so close that she was your emergency contact. And what happened, you were very lucky to her have that night.

Emma was at the office working late when she got the call. You were going through something that you haven't yet talked to her about and dealing with it on your own wasn't the best of many decisions.

Knowing how drunk you were, you got in the driver's seat anyway. You were being so reckless and careless. Your life and many others didn't matter in that moment. You had no intentions of hurting anyone but what happened, happened.

Your car started spiraling, hitting a couple of others. Once it stopped you were fine, along with other people. What you didn't realize in time, your car stopped in the middle of the road. Therefore, you didn't see the lane beside you had a green light. Once you heard the honking of a truck and saw the headlights, it was a little too late.

Emma rose from her chair as she gasped hearing what happened to you from the hospital. She immediately dropped what she was doing and ran out to her car. She drove to the hospital and ran inside.

She went to the front desk where the nurse gave her directions to your room. As she rushed to your room, she couldn't help but blame herself. She knew you were going through a hard time and didn't want to push you to talk but she thinks she should've.

Once she approached your room, you were lying on the bed. Awake. You were in pain, emotionally and physically but awake. Though Emma was very scared and worried about you right now, she was also very angry.

"The doctors told me what happened. How could you be so stupid? Does your life not matter to you?" She scolded at you.

"It was a moment of weakness." You mumbled.

Emma shook her head, "What happened? What happened when you were away?"

"Someone died." You blurted out.

Emma reached for your hand and held it in her's. She was just happy you were alive. Though she wanted more out of you, she knew this is how far she'll get for now.
