I looked at Cody for a moment and thought. He's right in a way. If we leave them alive then they'll go tell Salem and Cinder about us. I don't know about Mercury, but maybe I can convince Emerald to come with us? I looked to Emerald with pleading eyes.

Me: "Emerald, I know you hold Cinder up high. But are you sure you won't consider leaving her side?"

Emerald shook her head and backed away slightly.

Emerald: "I can't... Salem... She'd find me. Cinder has done so much for me and I can't just turn my back on her."

Me: "Cinder has only helped you for her own gain. Look what you've gotten into. She's literally trying to overthrow the world!"

Emerald was visibly conflicted. She looked at Cinder as a mother in some aspects, I can understand her pain but This is something I have to do, if Emerald doesn't join us then one day I'll have to... Suddenly Cody sighed.

Cody: "Emerald I suggest you leave."

Cody formed his scythe and brought it down on Mercury's leg, then on the other one, severing them completely.

Cody: "Since you're obviously so conflicted I'll do this myself. I'm leaving Mercury to be Grimm chow. He might live, he might not. However I won't touch Emerald. She can save Mercury and die or she can leave him and live. However..."

Cody's eyes both turned a light blue and his hair turned a pitch black.

Cody: "We're slaughtering Salem. I'm tired of this cutesy 'I want to save the world without killing anyone.' Crap. Once we find a way to do so we'll meet again. Next time, I promise you if you don't join us, you'll share the same fate as Salem."

Me: "Why do you hate her so much?"

Cody stayed silent this time, something very out of character for him. He shook his head and began walking away.

Cody: "We need to get to the next town before nightfall."

[Time Skip, Brought to You By Chibi Ruby Cleaning Her Scythe]

As we walked we could see a town coming into view, however it didn't seem like anyone lived there. Suddenly frantic gunfire rung out from the town. I look to Cody and he nodded, then we both began to run to the town. When we arrived I was surprised to see Ruby and Team JNPR fighting... what was that thing? It looked like a horse with a human like form growing out of its back. It had long stretchy arms that hung down to the ground.

Cody: "Its a Nuckelavee. One of Salem's special projects. They could probably use some help."

Me: "Let's go."

I formed a bow then pulled my hood up and ran forward, readying an arrow then firing it straight into the horses eye. The creature screamed out and faced me. I readied another arrow and aimed for the horse's head again. I drew it's attention long enough for my former friends to regroup. I turned my bow into a halberd and charged the beast, as did Cody as he formed his scythe. The creature lashed at us with its arms but we easily dodged and kept running forward. We got to the horse and slashed at the legs making the horse reel back. Cody jumped up and hooked his scythe onto the neck of humanoid and began to pull back, however the Grimm spun around and knocked him off. I suddenly noticed the Nuckelavee's arms were spinning with it trying to hit me. I held up my halberd and blocked its arms making me slide back. Cody was getting back up and growled in annoyance.

Cody: "We need to take care of those arms!"

Jaune: "You guys distract it! We'll take care of the arms!"

Cody and I nodded then I formed my bow again. I readied three arrows and fired all three hitting the beast in the torso.

Cody: "Over here ugly! Bet ya' can't hit me!"

Cody ran around the Grimm and continued to taunt it. The Grimm launched its arm at Cody only to miss as he jumped out of the way, Jaune then ran forward and pinned the Grimm's arm to the ground making the Nuckelavee scream out. The beast then threw its other arm out at him again, but missed once more as he jumped back. Ruby then jumped up then slammed her scythe down on its arm, pinning that one as well.

Ruby: "Nora now!"

I watched as Nora fell from a building and spun around, slamming her hammer down on the horse's head making it go still. Ren was the one to finish it off, slicing its arms off and then finally decapitating it. Once the Nuckelavee was dead, Ruby ran off behind a building while Team JNPR stayed behind. Jaune suddenly approached the two of us and smiled.

Jaune: "Thanks for the help back there."

I nodded, not wanting to speak. If Emerald remembered my voice, Team JNPR or Ruby would most likely remember it as well. Suddenly there was a noise that sounded a lot like a sonar pulse.

Jaune: "Guys I think I hear something!"

Soon two airships came into view then landed, we approached as two people in full airship gear jumped out.

Cody: "Thank Oum, I was getting tired of walking."

I sat at the desk inside one of the rooms of the inn and sighed.

Me: 'How do I go about this... Hey, you know I'm not dead so that's nice?'

I got up and exited my room then went to the one I knew JNPR was in. I was about to knock when I heard them talking. It sounded like they were goofing around and having fun. Cody leaned against the door way beside me.

Cody: "You know... without you they wouldn't have that happiness. You saved Pyrrha, thus letting their team stay whole. Remember that."

I sighed and stepped away from the door. Should I even tell them?
