[(Y/N)'s POV, One Week Later]

Cody: "Looks like someone had fun here."

We both looked around at the destroyed village. The smell of smoke and the slight scent of blood stained the air.

Cody: "Can't believe we missed the party, but hey another day another massacre."

Me: "Could you have the slightest bit of respect? I mean, people are dead, lives are destroyed."

Cody sighed and looked at me with a plain look.

Cody: "This is the world (Y/N). Life isn't all burritos and strippers my friend. Grimm prowl the forest and seek only to destroy all they can. But, what you're working towards will put an end to the Grimm, until you succeed people will perish. I am a cold, heartless creature that takes lives without remorse. You can't expect me to care about a village that I had no interest in."

I was suddenly regretting my decision to make a deal with this.... psycho. But then again it's the only way I can finish this. I've gotta figure out a way to trick him or something.

Cody: "Don't even think about it."

I looked over to see Cody staring right at me.

Cody: "That power is not yours. I reside in your mind and body, I can rip that power away from you in a moments notice. Do not mistake my kindness for ignorance. I can take over your body whenever I wish, but we made a deal and I intend to keep my end of the bargain. Now come on, I sense something nearby, definitely seems to be human."

He began to walk in a seemingly random direction. I sighed and began following him.

Me: "What is it you want with my life? Why uphold a deal you could break so easily?"

Cody didn't look back as he continued walking.

Cody: "I'm not evil. I am psychotic and I enjoy watching others squirm. But I will keep to my promises and my word. I've been trapped in that realm for years, watching worlds and lives unfold unable to join in on the fun. So I want a body so I can enjoy life like everyone else. Right now I'm using your body as a source for this form, using a small amount of power to give myself a physical body. But with your body I can stay indefinitely and use my full power at the same time."

Me: "Why me?"

Cody smiled with sharp teeth.

Cody: "You were convenient. You had died and your story was at an end. However I simply... made a sequel to that story. So I jumped at the chance, seeing as my last vessel didn't work out."

Me: "Last vessel? You tried this before?"

Cody: "Not quite. I tried using a different method, however I met a... less then favorable end."

I was about to ask yet another question only for Cody to push me behind a charred building and duck down beside me. He help a finger to his lips and peeked out from behind cover.

Cody: "Some old friends are here."

Me: "Who?"

I peeked around the corner to see Emerald and Mercury. They were looking around and searching some rubble.

Me: "What do you think they're looking for?"

Cody: "Survivors probably. Don't think this village was that important, plus I think it was already picked clean."

Me: "Then... I guess they had something to do with it."

Cody: "Emerald had a soft spot for you, sure, doesn't mean she's not on Cinder's side. You'll have to face her if you're gonna take Cinder down. Hell, might as well do it now."

I pulled my hood up so it prevented someone seeing my face.

Me: "Can I really fight both of them?"

Cody chuckled.

Cody: "I'll help out. I'll balence our powers out so we can fight evenly."

Me: "Fine. Just don't kill either of them."

Cody: "Yeah, yeah. Mr Goodie-Two-Shoes."

He smiled and summoned his flames and created his scythe.

Cody: "Ready?"

I nodded as I formed a bow out of flames. Cody sprinted out of cover and went straight towards Mercury.

Cody: "Here comes fun!"

Emerald and Mercury jumped as Cody yelled and spun his scythe around in his hand. I quickly stood up and created a blunt arrow along with a quiver full of them. I fired an arrow directly at the back of Cody's head, he slightly tilted his head to the side and it whirled past him, hitting Mercury in the face. He stumbled back as Cody hooked his scythe around Mercury's back then spun around and flung him to the side, causing him to crash into a decaying building. Emerald was already closing in on Cody with her dual blades ready to strike him while his back was turned. However I fired another arrow that hit her in the thigh, making her lose balance and trip. This was an odd feeling. It's as if I was completely in sync with Cody, almost as if I was seeing through his eyes as well as my own. Suddenly Mercury bolted straight for me. I knew shooting him in the legs wouldn't work and since he's coming at me head on he'd just dodge. As I was about to shift my weapon a whip wrapped around his ankle and pulled him off his feet and into the air. Cody had shifted his scythe into a long bladed whip that he then smashed Mercury into the ground with. He then turned and threw Mercury at me with the whip. I let go of the bow as it disappeared and formed a pair of metal boots and greaves. As soon as he neared me I roundhouse kicked him in the stomach, sending him sliding on the ground. Emerald went at Cody again, this time running in a semi-circle as she shot repeatedly from her now transformed blades. Cody turned the whip into a tower shield and blocked the bullets effortlessly. I shifted my greaves into a spear and charged Emerald, intersecting her within her path. I used the pole of the spear and sweeper Emerald's legs. Then pointed the spear down at her. Telling her not to move.

Cody: "That was easier then expected."

Cody walked up beside me and looked down at Emerald.

Cody: "So. Where's Cinder?"

Emerald stayed quiet. Refusing to speak. Emerald was loyal to Cinder more then anyone else. She looked at Cinder as a guardian for everything she did for her. Although Cinder was everything but a guardian to most. Cody frowned at Emerald's silence. But then grew a malicious grin.

Cody: "Come on. Don't you want to give away the person who murdered (Y/N)?"

Emerald's face suddenly showed shock, with a hint of sadness.

Emerald: "She didn't kill him! It wasn't supposed to happen like that!"

Cody: "But it did. She shot an arrow through him. And left him to die."

Emerald: "She didn't! She wanted to save him! But she couldn't... Ruby stopped her... Cinder has been devastated ever since. She won't even leave Salem's-"

Emerald suddenly covered her mouth.

Me: 'Seriously? That worked?'

Cody: "Salem's castle, huh? Damn. Not exactly an easy place to get to."

Me: "Where is it?"

Emerald suddenly looked at me. She remembers my voice? It's been a long time, I'm kinda surprised.

Cody: "You know that abandoned land that Grimm rule? At the very middle. Trust me, not easy to get to."

Emerald: "(Y/N)?"

Cody: "Is dead. Sounds like him right?"

I sighed and removed my hood.

Me: "Cody. People are gonna figure it out regardless. You don't have to be a total dick about it."

Cody: "Why ya' gotta ruin my fun?"

Emerald suddenly lunged at me, latching onto me in a tight hug. It's been a long time. I kinda missed her too. She was a good person, but was just dealt a bad hand in life. I wrapped my arms around her.

Emerald: "How are you here? We saw you... we saw you there, lifeless."

Me: "It's a long story. But I'm alright now. But..."

I let go of Emerald and she backed up.

Me: "Emerald, I'm putting an end to this. To Cinder's plan, to Salem, the Grimm."

Emerald stared at me, then glanced over to Cody.

Cody: "I've got a bit of a grudge against Salem. So she isn't gonna be around anymore when we get our hands on her."

Emerald: "You.. Y-You know Salem?"

Cody: "More then I'd like to admit. However you don't cross me and get away with it. No one does."

Cody cleared his throat.

Cody: "Anywho! Let's get on with the main attraction! We have two of Cinder's pets here. One of which is unconscious over there."

He pointed behind him to Mercury who was still laying on the ground.

Cody: "Question is, do we keep them alive, or do we kill them and move on?"
