[Time Skip, Late that Night]

I stood in the clearing under the large oak tree, waiting for Cinder.

Me: 'I'm ending this now. I can't stand having to sit idly by while someone's in trouble. Someone needs to stop her.'

[FlashBack]

Me: "Would Cinder kill me?"

Emerald: "What.... What do you mean...? It's Cinder, she'd kill you for accidentally scuffing her shoes."

Me: "I'm serious. Will she kill me if I get in her way."

Emerald: "Whatever you're thinking, please don-"

Me: "Pass a message along for me. Tell her to meet me by the large oak tree a little east of town. It's in a large clearing, you can't miss it. Tell her to be ready for a fight."

I started walking away but Emerald got in front of me.

Emerald: "(Y/N), stop. Look, I don't exactly understand why this is so hard for you but I can't let you just throw your life away. We both know you can't beat her."

I placed my hands on her shoulders and looked directly where I thought her eyes would be.

Me: "That's because we're on different sides. I fight to protect. And you.... Well, I don't even know why you're doing this. Emerald, I've already thought about this. It's nothing personal about any of you. In fact, if we were on the same side, I feel like I would have gotten along with you guys a lot better."

I forced a smile.

Me: "And wh- IF I die, please know, there's always time to change and make things right. And tell Neo the same thing. Okay?"

Emerald: "O... Okay."

Me: "Good."

I patted her shoulder as I walked past her and out into the street.

[End FlashBack]

I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard foot steps. I looked over and saw Cinder.

Me: "So, just want to get right to it?"

She didn't say anything.

Me: "Guess so."

I pulled out my weapon and turned it into a scythe. She summoned her weapons and walked towards me. She stopped in front of me and just stood there.

Cinder: "Have you told anyone?"

Me: "You'd know if I did."

Cinder: "Good."

She sounded off. Not troubled, not sad. Maybe... Dissatisfied? That's still not it.

Me: "I'd like to ask. What is it you want to accomplish?"

Cinder: "I could ask you the same. You seem well aware that you won't make it out of here."

I sighed.

Me: "Let's just get this done and over with."

I raised my scythe and got ready.

[Neo's POV]

I once again tried to get passed Emerald but she kept blocking the door. I stomped my foot as if to say "move"

Emerald: "No. Cinder said to make sure you stay here."

I ran over to my desk and pulled out a notebook and grabbed a pen.

Me: "She's going to kill him!"

Emerald: "Don't you think I know that!?"

Me: "So let's stop her!"

Emerald: "You know we could never beat her...."

I looked down at the ground and wrote on the notebook.

Me: "Yeah... I know..."

Emerald walked passed me and sat on my bed. I sat down beside her.

Emerald: "I like him too, you know? But Cinder is just too strong..."

Me: "He was so nice..."

Emerald: "Yeah I know."

She laughed softly.

Emerald: "If only we were on the same side, huh...."

Me: "Can we at least see him one more time."

Emerald: "Fine. But we can't do anything."

I nodded and we headed out to where Emerald said they'd be.

[Time Skip, Arrival]

As we got to the edge of the clearing we saw sparks and flashes of light being sent into the air as (Y/N) and Cinder fought. (Y/N) had cuts on his legs, arms, and stomach. He was panting and out of breath while Cinder looked as if she was barely trying.

(Y/N): "Cinder. Stop playing around. I know you're a major sadistic bitch, but come on. You could've killed me several times over by now."

Cinder: "Just stop already. Its pathetic."

He chuckled. And shifted his weapon into a spear.

(Y/N): "I'm not stopping until I'm dead. So come on. Show me why I should fear you. Because right now, I think I'm seeing a soft side to you."

He gave a smirk as Cinder's hands began to glow with fire. He always knew what buttons to press with her. He threw his spear at her which she back handed away, I followed the spear with my eyes as it landed behind her. When I looked back (Y/N) was performing different combos and strikes trying to fight Cinder at close combat. Cinder just dodged each one then kicked him back. She attached her blades together and formed her bow. She pulled back an arrow and shot it. I told myself to look away but I just couldn't. (Y/N) raised his left hand forward which caused the arrow to pierce his hand. If I could've screamed I would have. He then ran forward and started attacking again. She hit him away again and shot him in right cafe. He kneeled and ripped the arrow out of his hand, then the one in his leg. He shakily stood up and started to move forward again. He could barely move but still kept trying. Cinder pulled back another arrow and aimed but didn't fire. She's hesitating... (Y/N) raised his fist and gave a very, very weak punch which looked like it had the impact of a tap on Cinder's shoulder. He was panting heavily and looked as though he was getting pale. He then chuckled.

(Y/N): "There we go... I got a hit in..."

He fell to his hands and knees. He pushed himself back so he sat on the ground with his hands supporting him from behind.

(Y/N): "Alright. Go ahead. I had to at least try."

Cinder broke her weapon in two so it formed her twin swords. She placed the tip of one to his neck. But he just looked up at her and smiled.

Emerald: "He really is crazy..."

Cinder: "You're going to make me kill you. Aren't you?"

(Y/N): "Well that's what you do when someone gets in your way, right?"

He moved his good hand to the blade of the sword and grabbed it. From what it looked like he was trying to pull the sword towards his neck but Cinder held it firmly enough to where it wouldn't move.

Me: "Awwww... Cinder, you're soft side is showing."

Cinder: "I...."

Me: 'Is Cinder really having trouble with this....?'

(Y/N) slowly started to stand up but fell. Although Cinder caught him.

(Y/N): "Come on. How about round two? Can't stop till one of us gives. And I'm not stopping until I can't move anymore."

Cinder: "Stop...."

(Y/N): "Cinder, you okay? You're not sounding like yourself. Where's the threats, where's the almighty attitude that I've come to know."

Cinder: "Just stop...."

(Y/N): "Cinder I've noticed something. No matter how much I piss you off. You never threaten to kill me. Sure, you've made me pass out, you've tortured me, but you never tried kill me. You made sure I'd live through whatever you put me through. And might I add, you brew some pretty damn good tea."

I heard Cinder laugh softly.

Cinder: "When did you figure out that I made it?"

Me: "A certain person who's name I shall not say told me about it."

Cinder: "It was Mercury, wasn't it?"

He chuckled.

Me: "He would never."

He said sarcastically.

[(Y/N)'s POV]

I was in pain to say the least, but the cuts she gave me on my legs, arms, and stomach have mostly healed, but the holes in my leg and hand are gonna be there for awhile.

Me: "Just so you know, I won't give up till you're stopped."

Cinder: "I'm looking forward to it."

I chuckled.

Me: "Hey, Cinder?"

Cinder: "Yes?"

Me: "I called your bluff."
