Tommys POV
I sat on my knees, staring into the ravine, still hoping to see Nick somewhere, anywhere... Please Nick, you're the strongest person I know...Please come back...Please... I silently pleaded, feeling tears run warmly down my cheeks. I heard someone walk slowly up behind me, but I didn't bother looking. I wasn't taking my eyes out of the ravine, in case I could catch a glimpse of Nick. I felt someone put a warm hand on my back comfortingly, but it didn't feel human. Dawn... I thought. "Tommy...Nick's gone...They need you now..." Dawn said, and I knew he meant the others.
"I can't!" I snapped, turning to face him. I suddenly felt rage burning inside of me, "Nick may need help when he climbs back up! He CAN'T be gone!" I denied. Dawn looked at me with a sad expression, "This denial will only hurt you more in the future..." He said quietly. I clenched my teeth in my new-found rage, "What denial? Nick IS alive, he has to be!" I growled, my eyes trailing back to the ravine as I turned back to it. I heard Dawn sigh, and begin to walk away.
Dawn's POV
As I walked away from Tommy, I couldn't help but pity him. Nick was gone, all my sensors read that the ravine was to deep to survive a fall from. I noticed Cory sitting up, cradling his arm tightly. I quickly ran over, crouching next to him, "Oh, H-hey, Dawn..." He greeted through clenched teeth. I nodded, "Can I see your arm?" I questioned, and he nodded, "Please be careful, though, it hurts alot..." He said, and I agreed to be gently. He released his arm, and I looked at it carefully, scanning it with my helpful eyes.
"It seems that your shoulder has been dislocated." I reported. I glanced at his other shoulder, seeing it was soaked in blood. "Okay...I'm going to pop it back into place, this may hurt a bit..." Cory nodded, clenching his teeth. I carefully grabbed his shoulder in the correct spots, I pushed roughly, and Cory cried out as his shoulder was pushed back into it's socket. He rubbed his aching shoulder for a moment, then looked back at me, "Thanks, Dawn..." He said. I smiled, "No problem." I stood back up, looking down at him, "Okay Cory, you rest here for a second, but if you feel up to it, please assist me in helping the others." I said, and he nodded in agreement.
I walked over to where Jon and Ashlie were laying on the ground, beside the large rock that they had been thrown into. I crouched next to them, noticing that Ashlies arm was bleeding, and Jons head was bleeding. I carefully turned Jons head, looking at the wound. It was very likely that he had a concussion, which could be serious. I sighed, looking at Ashlie's arm. At the moment, we didn't have any medical supplies, so I ripped off one of her sleeves and tied it around her arm.
I stood up, walking back to where Uni was laying on his back on the ground, breathing heavily. Earlier, I had taken off his black vest and tied it around his stomach, where three large, deep clawmark wounds were bleeding heavily. I crouched next to him, not knowing if he was awake or not. "D-Dawn, are the others okay...?" Uni questioned, making me wince at how much I could hear that he was trying to hide the pain in his voice. "W-well...Almost everyone..." I said quietly.
"What do you mean?" Uni questioned, and Cory walked over, joining the two of us. "W-well...Nick sacrificed himself...He tackled Blue into the ravine, but he fell with him..." I explained sadly. "Wait...Nick's dead?" Uni questioned in suprise. I looked down, nodding slightly. "Oh no...Where's Tommy...?" Cory questioned, and I gestured to the edge of the cliff, where Tommy sat, staring down into the ravine. "That reminds me, I have to check Tommy's wounds.." I said, getting up and walking towards him.
As I approached Tommy, I noticed he was in the exact place he had been when I had left him the last time. He hadn't moved at all. "Hey Tom-" "Go away, Dawn." He inturrupted me. "I need to check you wounds." I said, determined. "Nicks wounds may be worse then mine, I'll wait." He said simply, but I heard his voice waver. I sighed, sitting down next to him, looking down I to the ravine aswell. "Nick would want your wounds to get fixed, wouldn't he? He wouldn't want you in pain..." I said, but Tommy said nothing.
"C'mon, Tommy, please? Nick would want you to liv-" "What if I don't want to live? And why should I do what Nick wants me to do? I want him to be here, but he isn't doing that, so why?" He questioned, taking me aback. "You know you don't mean that..." I whispered. I saw Tommy begin to shake a bit, then he began to sob, tears flowing quickly down his cheeks. He quickly turned to me and hugged me tightly, crying. I hugged back hesitantly, "W-Why did he have to leave...? I never got to tell him that...T-that..." He stuttered, "Shhh...It's okay..." I inturrupted., hugging him tighter.
After a few minutes, Tommy had calmed down a little, and let me tie his coat around his wounds to stunt the blood flow. He laid down on his side when I was done, hugging his knees and sobbing. I slowly got up and walked back to Uni and Cory. Cory was watching Tommy sadly, and Uni was sitting up, listening to Tommy. I was about to say something, when the sound of a groan caught my attention. I looked over and saw Ashlie sitting up and rubbing her head. I looked around at all my injured friends, This is gonna be a longggg day.... I thought as I approached Ashlie.
