The next day, Sunset and Casey were at the Channel 6 News Station. They were at the office of the Turtle's human ally and friend, April O'Neil. She was wearing a yellow jacket, a white tank top, blue jeans, and black boots. She had stopped typing a report to meet Sunset. "April, I'd like you to meet a new friend, Sunset Shimmer," introduced Casey, "Sunset, this is our friend, April O'Neil." April smiled and said, "Hello there. Nice to meet you. How do you know Casey?" Sunset shook her hand and said, "Well, his friend Raphael saved me, and I befriended him, his brothers, and Casey." April nodded, acting like this was another Tuesday for her, and said, "Ah, I see. Welcome to Channel 6 News."

"So you're a reporter, right?" asked Sunset. "A news reporter, but yes," replied April, "do you have a scoop for something? I'm always glad to report something important. Anyone that's a friend of the Turtles is a friend of mine." Sunset got out the tabloid, and gave it to April. The redheaded reporter took a look at the headline. "Magic, huh?" April asked curiously, "This is... interesting... Are you investigating these mysterious deaths, Sunset?" 

"Yeah, do you know of any other recent deaths that are related to this?" Sunset replied with her question. April got on the internet, and spoke while typing, "Recent deaths of people dying in their sleep..." She found that more and more people were mysteriously dying in their sleep, and these mysterious deaths were but days ago. "It's strange, people have been mysteriously dying in their sleep for several days," observed April, "nobody knows how or why..."

"All these deaths can't be a coincidence," said Sunset. "Could something be causing these deaths?" asked April. "Most likely dark magic from where I'm from," replied Sunset. "Well I can help you get to the bottom of it," offered April, "let's exchange numbers so I can update you on further information." Sunset smiled, thinking this was a good idea, and gave April her phone number, and April gave Sunset her number. "So, since you're friends with the Turtles, you going to be training with them?" asked April. "If I don't want to end up a damsel in distress, yeah," joked Sunset. April laughed and said, "Well the Turtles could use more kunoichi's. That's the term for a female ninja." Sunset smiled, knowing she'd made a new friend in April O'Neil.
