For a few days, Garrett decided to relax with Sunset, Raphael, and the Turtles. Consider it making up for lost time. With his renewed sight, Raph showed Garrett around the city, showing him all sorts of places, much to Garrett's delight. He had a lot of fun in New York. Then one day, Garrett said, "Well Sunny, it's been a lot of fun spending time with you and your boyfriend. But I gotta go home. I got a mare that misses me dearly." Sunset smiled and said, "I understand."

"Still, the only downside is travelling all the way from here back to the portal," complained Garrett, "it literally took me a week to get here!" Donatello overheard this and said, "I might have a solution to your problem. Can you guys come to my lab? You gotta check this out." And so Garrett, Raph, Sunset, Casey, April, and the rest of the Turtles followed Donnie to his laboratory. Donnie looked around until he said, "Ah, here we are. Guys, remember when I created that machine that could open a portal to an alternate dimension?"

"Ah yeah," said Leo, "you said you were saving that machine for a rainy day?" Garrett looked at the machine with fascination. "Well now's that rainy day," stated Donnie, "this portal will be your gateway back to your home." He then set the coordinates. "This is a fascinating machine Donnie," complimented Garrett, "thank you. You really outdid yourself. Just one question, does your machine know how to get to Equestria?" Donnie scratched his head and said, "That I don't know..."

"Perhaps it requires something familiar to that dimension in order for that world to be opened," theorized Sunset. "That could be a possibility," said Donnie. "Hold on one second," said Sunset as she ran off. Less than a minute later, she came back with her magical journal. "This should help," she said. "Okay, put it by my laptop," instructed Donnie, and that's what Sunset did. That's when the portal opened, and it revealed Twilight's library. "Well I'll be a donkey's uncle, it worked!" said Garrett, he then looked at his sister and friends and said, "Well, I guess this is where the road ends for us." He shook Leonardo's hand and said, "You are an honorable sensei, Leonardo. It was an honor fighting with you." Leo smiled and said, "Of course Garrett. You take care now." Garrett then shook Donatello's hand and said, "Thank you for this Donnie. I think I wouldn't have gotten this far without your genius." Donnie smiled and said, "No problem Garrett. You're a good guy." Garrett shook Michelangelo's hand and said, "Mikey, you're a funny guy. Do me a huge favor, never lose that sense of humor." Mikey smiled and said, "That I can promise. Stay gold, Pony-Boy." This made everyone laugh. Garrett shook Casey's hand and said, "You're an honorable man, Casey. Thanks for sticking by all this." Casey smiled and said, "You're a cool guy Garrett. Don't let no one tell ya different." April then hugged Garrett and said, "Thank you for saving me Garrett."

 "I didn't save you April," said Garrett, "we all saved you. Because like family, friends never give up on each other." He looked at Raphael and hugged him. "I wish I had a big brother like you and Leo," said Garrett, "please, take care of my sister Raphael." Raph smiled and said, "I promise, I will."  Garrett looked at his sister and said, "I know I'll miss you the most." He then gave her a big hug, which Sunset returned back. "I'll miss you too," said Sunset, "now you give that princess of yours a big hug for me, okay?" Once they stopped hugging, Garrett looked at his companions one last time and said, "Try not to think of this as a goodbye forever. There might come a time when Twilight or I might pay a visit. So think of this as a goodbye, for now..." He then looked at the portal, ran in, and shouted, "Booyakasha!" He then went into the portal. 

A few minutes later, Garrett was in Princess Twilight's library, back in his unicorn form. "I'm back," he said, getting up, looking around Twilight's library. "Twilight?" he asked, looking for her. He went outside her library, looking around her castle. "Guess she's not in her castle," observed Garrett, "I think I'll surprise her." He then got out of her castle, and walked to the Ponyville Flower Boutique. He went to the front of the desk and talked with the flower clerk. "Ah Garrett, good to see you," said the flower clerk, "don't tell me, Princess Twilight's favorite?" Garrett chuckled and said, "You read my mind. Thanks." He paid for the flowers, and the bouquet was given to him. He looked around Ponyville, looking for Twilight. He then saw Twilight was at the park, flying around with her niece Flurry Heart. The filly was giggling, having fun playing with her aunt. Garrett smiled at the sight before him. Twilight looked at the ground, and saw Garrett was down below. "Look Flurry Heart," said Twilight, "it's Uncle Garrett! Let's say hi to him!" Flurry Heart giggled, and they flew down to the ground, softly landing. Twilight looked at her coltfriend, smiling. "Hey princess," said Garrett, "I got something for you." He then pulled out the flowers, giving them to Twilight. She smiled, and said, "It's good to see you, my beloved." She then hugged him, covering him with kisses. Garrett hugged back, happy to be reunited with his beautiful princess.
