Part 3- Battle

Immediately, Shelby got defensive, her eyes flashing an icy blue. "What's that suppose to mean?" She demanded.

Renet's eyes widened in surprise. "It only means that you're not in the history books. That's all."

"Don't worry, Shelbs. I'm not in the textbooks either. Maybe we moved on to do bigger and better things. Like become politicians or something." Tyler stated simply.

"Do you hear what comes out of your mouth, Tyler?" Monica asked in disbelief.

"Sometimes. But usually, I just let it flow." Tyler admitted, shrugging.

"Isn't that stating the obvious." Monica muttered to herself as she passed the pen and paper back to Renet.

"Thanks, Monica! You rock! Seriously." Renet exclaimed, folding the paper and tucking it away.

"Renet?" Mikey called, peering into the dojo. He smiled at the sight of the teen time traveler. "There you are! Hey, wanna come into my room? I wanna show you my comic collection." He explained. He glanced around quickly, before continuing in a hushed whisper. "Some of them are Raphael's, but don't tell him."

Shelby scowled. "Can't you do something in the living room? Watch TV, play video games, play patty cake, anything!" She asked the orange-clad turtle, her voice exasperated.

Mikey looked at her in confusion. "Why?"

Renet turned to Shelby, glaring down at her. "You can't tell him what to do. He's Michelangelo, the cute one. He only follows Leonardo's orders. Not your's." She explained, her voice degrading.

Shelby growled. "Why don't you back off? You can't just poof in from thin air and hang around my boyfriend like you two are the next 'it' couple."

Renet raised a brow. "You're his girlfriend?" She inquired, before letting out a small giggle. "Well, I guess it doesn't matter. If you're not in the books, then you're relationship isn't that important to the timeline." She explained, walking up to Mikey, and grabbing his hand. "You might as well not exist."

The atmosphere stood still in the dojo. The temperature began to dip, and Shelby's eyes frosted over, now covered in a glowing, icy blue veil. "Say something else. I dare you." She muttered, her fist's clenched tightly.

Renet laughed. "I'm not scared of you. You must be the smallest person in the lair. You're no physical threat."

In the blink of an eye, Shelby launched forward, morphing in mid-air into a white wolf, knocking into Renet with breath-taking force.

"Shelby, no!" Mikey cried, but the damage was done. Shelby pinned Renet to the floor, her lips drawn back in a snarl.

Renet gasped, bringing her knee up into Shelby's gut. She yelped in pain, allowing Renet enough time to make her move. Bright blue, glowing brass knuckles formed on her hands, and she brought up her fist, slamming it into Shelby's jaw. A surge of energy coursed through the she-wolf's body, and she flew back, the shock causing her to morph into her half-shift form.

Taking advantage of the mutant's recovery, Renet scrambled to her feet, running over to the weapon's rack and grabbing a spare katana sword, holding it out straight in front of her, her face horrified. "Shelby, please! This is a mistake!" She urged.

"You can't finish what you started?" Shelby growled lowly, lifting herself off the ground with a grunt.

"Shelby, please!" Mikey begged.

"Mikey, don't jump in there." Monica muttered, "That wouldn't be wise right now."

Shelby roared, leaping forward and slashing at Renet with her claws. Renet blocked her blows with the katana, attempting to use the face of the blade rather than cutting the mutant, but she wasn't very good at predicting Shelby's savage attempts to maul the time apprentice. The blade nicked her skin several time, causing Shelby to curse as thin, purple blood welling up on her skin, before dripping to the floor.

Mikey glanced at Ty. "Aren't you gonna do something?" He squeaked.

Tyler laughed. "No way! I'm team Shelbangelo."

"What does that even mean?" Monica sighed, rubbing her temples.

Giving up on her hand-to-hand combat attempts, Shelby shoved Renet aside, grabbing a hold of two onos hanging on the weapons' rack. She snarled, turning to Renet, who was trembling. The mutant's hands began to flare in a transparent, icy blue flame, her brows furrowing.

"I'm going to get Master Splinter!" Monica yelled, running out of the dojo. Shelby ignored the comment; all she could hear was the adrenaline pounding through her veins, the ice crackling in her core. She swung her ono at Renet, missing her face by only a millimeter. Renet parried, swinging her katana sloppily.

Shelby ducked, before sticking out her leg and sweeping it across the ground, knocking Renet over. She stood above the teen, and raised her ono, ready to bury it in the intrusive visitor.

"Shelby! No!" Mikey cried. "Please, listen! You're better than this!" He urged, taking a step forward.

Her head snapped towards Mikey's voice. She stood for a moment, frozen, before her face softened, and she relaxed, shifting her stance to walk away.

However, Renet had already been in the process of defending herself, and the katana's blade entered Shelby's abdomen before Renet could stop herself.
