Chapter 4

The man on top of me suddenly shifts after placing my glasses back on my eyes and begins growling. I get up and back up away from the growling beast.

'Don't. Stay behind me.' He says using our mate mind link.

'Where are you?' I ask.

'I'm in front of you now?' He says in curiosity.

I just close him out as another wolf begins to growl.

'Seriously Sienna?! How did you find another rogue?' Damien asks me through his alpha mind link and I shake my hand.

"Damien this isn't a rogue!" I yell.

'What do you mean?' He asks.

"Well this might be a rogue but he is also my mate." I reply and Damien shakes his big head.

'I'M NOT A ROGUE!' My mate growls.

'Sorry.' I bow my head.

'I'll be right back.' Damien mind links me.

"Mate my alpha is going to change and come back. You do the same." I say making sure my mate understands Damien is not running for back up.

'Okay.' He nods and leaves and I hear rustling then I feel his eyes on me.

When he comes back he puts his arm around my waist making me jump.

"Did I scare you baby." He whispers in my ear making me shudder in pleasure. My mate chuckles and Damien speaks.

"Sorry to disrupt you two but, Alexander, what are you doing on my lands?"

"I am chasing my beautiful mate which I smelt 4 miles away yesterday and your foolish pack didn't keep an eye on her because a rogue almost got her!" Alexander, my mate, says.

"Sorry. She always walks with Toby into town. We didn't think there would be a problem." Damien says.

"Well there was! And if she so much as broke a nail! Your in for it!" Alexander snaps. I put my hand on his upper arm. I feel him shift to look at me. I think.

"It's okay Xander. I'm okay." I say and I feel his tense muscles relax.

"Your so cute." He whispers to me.

I feel heat rise to my cheeks and his thumb brushes it.

"Thanks.." I mumble looking down.

"Sorry again for butting in on this moment." Damien excuses himself, "but, if you will be staying on our land until Sienna is ready to go you will have to meet me back at my office to make and arrangement."

"No. She must come with me." He demands.

"What. No. I don't want to go yet." I plead.

"Huh?" He asks.

"Please. Xander." I beg with my lip out like a pout.

Moments pass in quite and then he give in, "fine." He grumbles.

"Thanks." I smile.

Xander's POV

Wow. I found her. I can't believe I let her get away the first time. But I had to scare the city rogue away.

I watched her wake the next morning.

Wow that sounds creepy. But it's not.

I just missed her.

Something's different about her. She asked where I was earlier. I was in front of her. Maybe her eyes were clouded with tears.

I shake that thought off and walk behind my mate as she walks into the house. Only she feels the door in search of the door knob. Odd. Maybe it's what this pack does. Weird pack.

She finally finds it and goes inside I follow her in and a few girls walk up to her. Must be her friends.

I watch as her facial expression drops. They aren't friends?

Soon her glasses are thrown across the room and her eyes clamp shut as they push her to the floor laughing.

My wolf and I growl at the same time causing the whole house to shake with my anger.

They all look over at me in horror as I rush to my mate. I help her up and turn to the bullies.

"You. Will. Never. And I mean NEVER! Touch my mate like that!" I scream as my wolf etches to the surface.

"Scramble girls!" The queen bee, I'm guessing, of the group says.

They all leave and she is left.

"Now. As for you. Meet me at my room in 10 minutes." She winks and leaves.

I shake my head and go to pick up my mates glasses. I bring mate her glasses and put them over her head.

"It's okay." I say cradling her fragile body.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." She says blushing.

She's embarrassed?

"Why are you embarrassed?" I ask.

"I'm helpless I'm sorry. I'm not meant to be a mate." She blushes more.

"Yes you are. Your the best mate I could ever ask for." I reply to her and she shrugs.

"Damien's office is down there but, I suppose you probably want to go visit Kat first." She says.

"Who's Kat baby?" I ask.

"The girl who invited you to her room." She says staring at the floor.

"I don't want to see her room." I say and move my lips to her ear and whisper, "I want to see yours."

She shudders and I smirk kissing her neck. One thing I have noticed is that to a regular werewolf you wouldn't sense her wolf, but I do. I am her mate and the strongest alpha. Her wolf is weak. So very weak. Poor mate.

But, she is also the strongest girl. None of the wares I know could live without their wolf. She will make the most perfect luna.

"Down here." Sienna says pulling away from me making me smirk.

I follow her down to Damien's office then take a seat beside her in the office chairs.

"Hello Alexander, a few of my pack members have a guest room made up for you." Damien begins and I feel my wolf arguing.

'Are you kidding me! We should be staying with our mate!' He argues.

"Damien, Damien, Damien. I don't need another room. I want to be with her." I say glaring at Damien.

"I don't-" my mate begins looking forward.

"Why not." I cut her off.

"You can't." She says.

"Why?"

"Don't argue with me you can't." She snaps putting her head into her hands.

"Don't snap at me mate." I say in a dark voice.

"She doesn't want you to stay with her. So, your room is on the west wing, second floor and third room too the right." Damien says and I snap my head to him. He hands me my key and I shake my head.

"I will not be sleeping there." I say.

"Then you can get off our lands." Damien says and I growl.

"You can not and will not make me leave!" My voice booms through the room. I hear a whimper and something attempting to get away. I look over and see my scared mate tripping over a shelf.

I run to her aid and hold her on my lap. I check her hand and then move her other hand to see her knee.

I watch the blood ooze out of the large gouge in her knee and look up at Damien with anger flaring through me.

"You!" I growl and my mate's bloody hand comes in soft contact with my face a she caresses my cheek making my wolf growl in pleasure.

"It's okay." She says with a small voice crack. I smile down at her but her face stays the same in a neutral look.

"I will have the room across from my mate," I demand.

"That's my mum and dad's" my mate says. "You can't take their room."

I groan and rub my hands down my face feeling some of her blood on my cheek where she caressed me.

"What about the one beside your room?" I ask her.

"That's Beta Danny's!" She exclaims smiling as she says his name.

That makes my wolf angry as I growl through my teeth.

"I will take his room." I snap, growling it out.

"I will ask my beta if he wants to-"

"You will not ask you will demand he leaves!" I growl.

"What's wrong with Danny?" Sienna asks.

"He is not aloud to sleep so close to you." I growl.

"Oh." She says shrinking away from me. This makes me soften and pull her into my arms.

"Sorry for snapping at you. I just don't want another unmates man so close to you." I say and she nods putting her head into my chest. I can feel her glasses squish against me.

"May I?" I ask gesturing to her glasses.

"May you what?" She asks. I give her a questioning look.

"May I take off your glasses?" I ask her.

"I'm going to interrupt for a second. Danny says you can have his room. It will be empty and ready for you in two hours." Damien says.

I growl quietly because he interrupted my mate and I but, I brush it off.

"Okay. We will see you later Damien." I say picking my mate up bridal style and leave the room.
