Chapter 10
"C'mon Sienna! Stop trying let your body do the work." Peet says in frustration as I, once again, am trying to shift the water on the table.
"I'm trying here Peet! Just shut up will you!" I growl at him and I hear him whimper and Xander chuckle happily. "Sorry."
"It's okay. Try again." Peet says in a softer tone this time and I nod.
I take a deep breath and relax my tense body. I feel my shoulder fall and my clenched hands unclench. That's when I let my mind wander from the room we are in. I hear the sounds of a river and the quiet pitter patter of water. That's when my vision comes and I notice I'm sitting in a rain forest. I put my hand in the stream and look at my reflection. My hair lays on my shoulder in a perfect French braid. I look down the water and run my hand through it.
Moments later I am brought back to the room with Peet and Xander.
Water splashes to the floor and Peet cheers.
"You did it Sienna!" He howls in delight.
"I did?" I feel the smile on my face grow at the thought of finally achieving it. "Xander?"
"I'm right here baby." He says right next to me. I jump startled by his closeness before wrapping my arms up and around his neck. His find his way around my waist as he says, "you did it baby. I'm so proud of you."
I hear Peet clear his throat and I let go of Xander while his grip tightens on me. "Let go Xander."
I giggle as he sniffs up my neck and push on his broad shoulders. "Xander we have to go back to the lessons."
"Why? You already did something magical lets leave." Xander whines.
"You promised me two hours a day learning and it's only been an hour or so today. We aren't done yet." I say as I run my fingers through his hair.
"Mmmm ..." He hums as my nails scratch his scalp.
"Let go baby, one more hour." I say and Xander slowly but surely pulls away from me and I turn in the direction Peet should be.
"Okay, so- Xander please take a seat." Peet says and whimpers shortly after.
"Xander! Be nice." I scold. Xander grumbles something under his breathe before taking his seat across the room.
"Okay, now, we need to continue practicing the water movement until you can control it. Then we will move onto objects and eventually fire. After fire you will begin to learn how to use these to your advantage as well as learning to use your gifts with the earth." Peet explains as I hear him pick up the glass. "The water is on the ground now but, you should still be able to move it from the ground."
"Okay." I nod in understanding as I try to relax my body, but I can't.
I feel a small smile form on my lips.
"Sienna?" Peet asks and I giggle.
"I can't believe I actually did that!" I say happily and I hear Xander chuckle at me.
Peet sighs before saying, "we will pick up where we left off tomorrow."
"No I can do it again. I just have to try-"
"Sienna listen to Peet we are going." Xander instructs happily as I feel a warm hand - most likely his - grab hold of mine and lace our fingers together.
"See you tomorrow Sienna" Peet says as I am being dragged out of the room.
"See you tomorrow Peet." I wave in the direction of his voice.
"Finally!" Xander expresses as the door closes.
"You don't have to sit and watch us you know." I tell him as we walk down the hallway, our hands still clasped together.
"I know, but, I want to stay near you." He admits sheepishly and I giggle before picking our hands up and kissing the back of his.
"What are we going to do now?" I ask.
"I have to make a few calls to my brothers and then I was thinking I could take you into the human village just south of the pack lands." Xander says and I nod.
"Sounds fun, minus the phone calls." I say and Xander squeezes my hand.
"You know my brothers are very excited to finally meet you." Xander says.
"When will I be meeting them?" I ask as curiosity takes over me. One brother will die, the other will be evil. One of his brothers will be the one we fight against to bring peace back to earth. The other will die a tragic death.
"Actually, they will be coming for a celebration in a month so, you will meet them then." He says.
"What celebration?" I ask.
"Seeing as it is thanksgiving in a month and we, my family and bloodline, are what you would call 'royals' we have a celebration here at my palace. Every ware is welcome as long as they behave. I, and my father, have kicked out multiple packs from joining us because of the barbaric nature." Xander explains before adding, "So, this also means you will not only be meeting my brothers but, my parents, grandparents, uncles aunts and other distant relatives."
"Oh, I think Alpha Damien and his family join you each year. I was never aloud to come though." I sigh, "they never really let me go anywhere, where there would be other wares because of my disability."
"It's not a disability. I want to show you what you have been missing. Those foolish Alpha's didn't know shit about how to treat you." Xander growls more to himself then me.
"Will my parents be here then?" I ask.
"Probably." Xander ends that conversation with one word as we enter his office. He lets go of my hand and I hear a chair being dragged out before Xander leads me to it. "Take a seat. I will be done in ten, twenty minutes tops."
I nod and listen as he dials the first number. I drown out his conversation and decide to try and move something in the room.
I mean that has to be possible right? Peet said I would be able to do that.
I relax into the big comfy chair I am sat at and allow my body to do what it did last time. I close my eyes as relaxation takes over me and that's when it happens again only this time I hear birds chirping.
When my vision comes to me again I look around and I am standing in a meadow. An object begins to float in the middle of the meadow and I squint my eyes to catch a better glimpse at it.
It moves closer to me and I touch the cold metal ball. Weird.
Its smooth surface has a circumference of at least a meter and a half. If not two meters. The strange object disappears and my vision goes as I am brought back into the room Xander is talking to his brothers in.
I feel an object land on my lap and I touch the surface of it. It's smooth like the metal ball but, this one is smaller. I hold it in my palm as I hear Xander hang up on his first call.
"What was that?" Xander asks.
"I was practicing." I smile happily as I hand Xander back his item. "What is it?"
"Hmm?" He hums confused as he dials the next number.
"The object I moved. What is it?" I ask again.
"It's a paperweight made with a rare stone. It was a gift from my dad." Xander replies and I nod.
"Cool."
*****
"How much farther?" I ask and Xander chuckles.
"15 more minutes baby and we will be there." Xander says from the drivers seat and I trace random designs on the rich leather.
"If you told me it was an hour and a half drive I would have said no." I mumble bored out of my head.
"That is exactly why I didn't tell you." He chuckles and I softly hit is muscular bicep.
"Tell me when we are there I want to get out and stretch my legs." I groan feeling the soreness of my legs increase.
"Are you okay?" Xander asks as concern increases in his voice.
"Yah baby, just have sore legs from not moving." I mumble and his hand goes to my thigh. He squeezes it softly as he continues to drive.
After a long ten minutes his car comes to a slow stop and I know we have parked.
"Alright we are here." He says and I open my door before taking off my seat belt and hopping out.
"Finally!" I say with an exaggerated exhale.
Xander locks the car with the distinctive beep and I feel his warm arm wrap around my waist. He walks me down the city streets and I can here the busy after work traffic driving past us. I lean into Xander and I rest my head on his shoulder as a sigh of content leaves my lungs.
"There is a clothing store just down the street. I thought maybe I would treat you to a new outfit and maybe a nice dress for the Thanksgiving celebration." Xander speaks up after a walk in silence.
"You really don't need to Xander. I have some nice dresses my mum bought me and-"
"I know I don't have to but, I want to." Xander cuts me off and i kiss his shoulder.
"Okay, lets go try on some clothes then." I say after hearing how much he wanted to spoil me this once in his voice.
He takes me into the clothing store and I let him choose out some clothes as I wait by the change rooms for him. I can't wait to one day choose my own clothes for myself.
"Okay, I got three dresses and some shoes. I am not the best with this but, the store woman helped me out." Xander says as he hands me the dresses and walks with me to a change room.
"Can you wait outside?" I ask and he chuckles at me.
"Why? I am your mate." He insists and I push his shoulder.
"Go." I giggle as he kisses my cheek, nose and finally my lips.
"Fine, but you have to come out of the change room each time to show me the dress you tried on." He says and I nod. I hear the curtain close and I remove the clothes I am wearing until I am standing there in my bra and panties. I grab the first dress and feel for the zipper. When I find it I fiddle with it until I have zipped it down and then I step into the dress. Luckily it is a side zipper so I can zip it up myself. I walk out to Xander and he wolf whistles at me making blush rise to my cheeks.
"Blue is definitely your colour." Xander says in certainty and I shake my head giggling.
"Next." I say before walking back in and closing the curtain. I zip the dress down and remove it before placing it delicately on the ground beside me. I put on the next dress over my head after spending a good five minutes trying to find a non-existent zipper. I brush it down my waist and hips before stepping out of the change room.
"You just look good in everything, don't you?" Xander asks as I do a small twirl while laughing slightly.
"Yeah, yeah whatever." I blush and step back into the change room before removing the dress I am wearing then putting on the final dress. I find the zipper and pull it down before adjusting the strapless dress so its sitting correctly around my breast. I zip it up as far as I can on the back before stepping out and hearing silence.
"Xander?"
"Wow baby, you look stunning." He breathes, "This is definitely the dress."
"How long is it?" I ask as I reach my arms down to find the end.
"Just bellow your knees." Xander says as he walks towards me.
"Is there shoes that go with it?" I ask and he kisses my cheek.
"Right here." He says and he must have kneeled because his voice comes from bellow me. "May I?"
I lift up my right foot and he places the cold shoe onto my foot before I lift up the next. "Are they flats?"
"Yes, silver flats that look perfect with the red dress you're wearing." Xander says and I smile.
"I feel really good in this outfit Xander." I say softly and his lips find mind for a soft kiss before he says.
"Then that's definitely the dress we are buying."
*****
"Thank you for everything today Xander." I say tiredly as we drive home. We are just coming from a dinner down by a river. I had muscles and chips and he had the same.
"Your welcome baby. I felt like we should go on a date away from others who know us." Xander says patting my knee.
I yawn as we continue the long drive. I take his hand in mine and hold it as he rubs the back of my hand in a soothing manor. The ride home seems to go by quicker then the ride into town, probably because I was so excited to go somewhere new and I was wide awake. When we arrive at his large abode he guides me to his room.
"I have to do some office work tomorrow so, I think I will let you go to your training alone. Although, I probably won't last too long without you." Xander admits.
"Well you'll be hanging out alone all day then, I don't want to sit bored in your office the whole day." I say as I feel the clothes on the hanger until I find my night gown. I close the door to the walk in closet slightly and remove my clothes but keep on my undies. I put the gown over my head and tie my hair up.
"Well I don't want to be alone all day." He whines after I walk out dressed and I shake my head.
"You sound like a stubborn five year old." I tease as I crawl onto the bed and Xander pulls me into his hold.
"Your stubborn five year old." He whispers into my neck and kisses down the column of it. "Do you want kids one day?"
I shake my head as an answer. I could never care properly for a child. Maybe if I get my sight back I will bare Xander's kids, but for now I don't want to bring a child into a family where I will never actually get to see grow.
"Why not?" Xander asks.
"Let's not start this Xander. You know full well why I don't." I say with a stressful sigh.
"C'mon baby, you'll be a perfect mother." He kisses my shoulder.
"Drop it Xander." I mumble as I shut my eyes.
"Okay I'm sorry." He whispers and cuddles into my backside before we both fall asleep.
