Collin pov

I woke up and realized I was on something with something covering me I felt around and realized I was in a bed I got up and felt around the room and realized that it was mine I opened my door and stepped out I ran into something I almost fell again I hate not being able to see I fell into something I felt arms go around my waist I started to panic not knowing who was there. "Collin calm down it's just me Mitch." I calmed down knowing that it was Mitch set me at ease. "We have two meetings to do today one for everyone here and then later on the werewolves from Packhaven are coming over." "Why are the vampires having a meeting before the werewolves get here?" "We need to inform everyone about your condition okay?" "Alright lead the way." I felt Mitch grab my hand and lead me downstairs and sat me down on the couch. "Alright I called a meeting here to inform you about Collin's condition I checked him out Collin the bottle that got in your eyes has damaged your eyes and they can't be fixed what I'm trying to say is that your blind and everyone here needs to be careful about where they are going that means no more rough housing or running around the place or not watching where you are going Collin can't see you so he could end up hurt again like with the stairs indecent." I froze unable to process what was happening I was permanently blind I felt what little self confidence I had shatter into pieces I was scared I was in the middle of a war while being unable to see I couldn't tell friend from foe without hearing their voice an enemy could easily sneak up on me I was terrified I felt myself begin to shake as the tears started to roll down my face I brought my hands up to my face as I started to sob uncontrollably.

Mitch pov

Collin had started to sob heavily I was worried about him I shooed everyone else away I pulled Collin into my arms and he just latched onto me I felt bad for him he must be terrified suddenly you learn you can no longer see despite the fact he has vampire healing and the fact that he's in the middle of a war he can't tell friend from foe someone would have to watch him can't leave him alone inside the castle he can't run away or fight back he was helpless I felt worry for the other vampire I rubbed my hands in circles on his back in an effort to calm him down he snuggled his face further into my chest I ran my hand through his hair as well his crying had started to slow I felt him relaxing against me his breathing slowed I felt Collin go Limp I was worried for a split second until I saw that his breathing had evened out he had curled more into me he had fallen asleep a few hours had passed and it was time for the meeting with the werewolves the meeting had started off well Collin was still asleep I had shifted him so no one could see him that's when things started to go wrong there was tension in the air and we had started to argue over what to do about the war everyone had started yelling Xylo had yelled a little louder then the others causing Collin to stir I froze as I felt him shift and poke his head up and rub his eyes. "Mitch what's happening who's here why is there yelling it woke me up?" Xylo had then turned to Collin anger showing in his eyes the tension and anger finally getting to him causing him to lash out at an innocent person Collin. "Oh I'm sorry did I wake you it's not like there is a war going on where all of us could die but here you are sleeping and being lazy instead of listening to the meeting why don't you take your privileged butt and do something useful instead of being useless and rude all the time???!!!" Xylo was panting by the time that he was done everyone else was stunned into silence Collin had started to bawl again the wolves were stunned that the previously rude and confident vampire was a mess at just cause someone snapped the other vampires came to my side something protective stirring within them they tried to help me calm Collin we had managed to calm him to the point where he was only emitting small whimpers when I shifted him into Jackson's lap I knew he could take care off him and protect him while I took care off the wolves Jackson took him without complaint him and the others continuing to try and calm Collin I walked over to the wolves I had put up with them long enough I had tolerated their yelling and arguing but this was the last straw I walked over to Xylo and started to let him have it. "Do you have any idea what you did I knew he was sleeping on me I shifted him so you wouldn't see him he had fallen on me after crying himself to sleep after finding out that he is permanently blind I put up with your yelling and arguing but this is the last straw harassing our member who has recently gone blind get out you are no longer welcome here!" Xylo looked guilty and ashamed Mario looked mad. "We shall respect your decision and leave Xylo your getting punished when we get back you shouldn't have lashed out at him when you didn't know the situation!" "Yes Alpha." "We shall leave now I'm sorry for our beta I shall be sure to punish him when we get home I hope to speak with you again sometime soon." "You as well have a good day." The wolves left I walked over to the couch the others had gotten Collin to fall asleep. "I'm going to take him to his room and turn in for the day." I picked up Collin off of Jackson's lap and carried him to his room I tucked him in bed he was sleeping peacefully I walked to my room and laid down in bed I closed my eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.
