On that faithful day, newspapers across the globe would tell the story of Isla Kunay, the girl who was born without the ability to see:

The story of Isla Kunay became quite popular.

Isla's mother, Isabela Kunay, died during Isla's birth. Isla's father, Finn Kunay decided he would build an entire city to keep his helpless, little daughter with her disability safe.

Finn's City, as it was informally named, stood as a safe haven for anyone who had any form of 'difference' that prevented them from functioning normally in a society. This included deafs, mutes, people with missing limbs, and so much more. 

People of all ages, and all genders, and of all forms and shapes came to Finn's City to be safe from the harsh world that didn't accept them normally.

The city was different, everyone was accepting to everyone, because all of them knew the hate that each of them had faced before coming here. Each of them had the same pains as every other inhabitant to that city.

Finn had originally built the city to keep Isla Kunay safe. He had succeeded.

Finn was lonely, though. He missed his wife. Finn found love again in a woman named Zaila.

Finn and Zaila were married soon enough.

Then, Zaila changed. She changed from the loving and caring woman Finn had married, to a demon that hated everyone that was different than her. Perhaps this was because, she was different herself. But that is unknown.

Finn died prematurely. Many suspect Zaila of killing Finn, poisoning perhaps. Or maybe just outright murder with a weapon.

Zaila became the ruler of Finn's City. It was Zaila's City now. Zaila's City was--is-- not a good or safe or welcoming place to be.

Zaila hated the inhabitants of her city. Most of all, Zaila hated Isla Kunay. Why she hated Isla so much is only known by Zaila, and maybe Isla.

Sooner or later, Zaila hired 'Moderators' to 'protect the people of Zaila's City'. Realistically, the Moderators were there to prevent the Differents from escaping, or rebelling, or anything of the sorts.

Zaila's City fell to shambles. Zaila did not care.

Then there was an attack.

Large, black, dangerous creatures attacked Zaila's City. Zaila and her highest Moderator--whose only known name is Calik-- fled the city by themselves, leaving the other Moderators, and the Differents to die. The creatures responsible for so many deaths were referred to by some as the Soulless.

Some Differents escaped.

Not many, one might add, but some.

Isla Kunay was among them. With help from Nicholis Strenam and his sister, Adyson Strenam. Grace Teonys sacrificed herself for them to escape.

Now, Zaila is on a man hunt for Isla Kunay. Zaila knows Nicholis has kicked out Isla.

Nicholis has realized his mistake, after learning Isla's true identity.

Zaila has eyes everywhere. Zaila will get what she wants. Zaila always gets what she wants. Always.

Zaila doesn't care who she has to kill. Zaila doesn't care who has to be hurt. Zaila doesn't care about anyone but herself.

Anyone but herself and Isla.

Everyone who knows that Isla is alive knows Zaila will find Isla.
